Just How BAD are the Pixel 5 Speakers...? Pixel 5, Pixel 4a and Pixel 4 XL Speaker Test!

Is, the pixel 5 speakers truly that bad what's up everybody, this is Scott. Welcome back to another video well. Evidently I was the only person or a very small subset of a group of people that said that the pixel 5 speakers I mean I said it was good. I mean in hindsight I used the term good fairly loosely, I suppose, but I don't think it's terrible. Let me just put it that way. It's like, I don't think the pixel 5 speakers is this hot garbage mess that everybody says that it is, and in today's video I'm going to show you that so the test between these particular pixels, what I'm going to do is go to epidemic.

Sound. That way. It's all. I can actually monetize this video. I have a membership to there, I'm going to pick a pop song, a country song, an EDM song and probably something else, I'm not entirely sure, but I'm going to pick one song out of each of those.

Furthermore, I'm going going to be pumping all the sound through this right here, which is a rode pod mic connected to the road caster pro no audio post-production, or anything like that at all, I'm going to have the volume set on all three devices set to two clicks below max, meaning I'm going to turn it up to max click down two times. That's it nothing crazy, that's as scientific as I'm going to get here. So, let's just jump straight to the tests. Okay, first song right here is called the arms of gold. The number one popular song on the pop feature of epidemic, sound, so I'll, remove the pop filter.

Okay, that was the Pixel 4 XL, now right here. Turning the volume, all the way up, two clicks down make sure I have the song restarted, do so: okay, that was the Pixel 4a this one. This is the pixel 5. Turning it up, two clicks, that's the two clicks here we go okay, so that was the very first test. I'm going to do this with another couple genres, so you can hear what it sounds like obviously not gonna show this whole thing, but this was just the setup to show you that I did the two clicks on the note 20 ultra, so I'll be right.

Back next up is electronica and dance or EDM and dance. This is a song called every time I fall by Holmes again remove this filter. This is the Pixel 4 XL same distance, and here we go okay, that was the that was the 4xl next 4a and then finally, the pixel 5. And last category is rock. I'm going to pick a song called uh, well very fitting for 2020 the end of all things uh by I'm, assuming Nicholas Johansson.

So here we go. That is intense, super intense, all right. Let's do this again. This is the 4a. Last but not least, the pixel 5.

, okay. So that's it! That's the three pixels no question the Pixel 4 XL sounds the best. It is definitely the loudest of the group, but I think the 4a and the pixel 5 are much closer than a lot of people are giving them credit, for so is the pixel 5 bad. Well, first, it's a smartphone with very tiny speakers. I would much rather use my google home maxes rather than anything else at all.

I can still put this thing in my pocket, while I'm doing the dishes, and it doesn't sound terrible, it's still. Music is incredibly subjective. However, the Pixel 4 XL definitely gets significantly louder than both the 4a and the pixel 5. Now in terms of the Pixel 4a versus the 5, it has a front firing speaker with the little speaker at the very top, whereas the speaker is underneath the glass in the pixel 5. So it's going to naturally be louder because there's a speaker in the front when it comes to the 4a, but the discrepancy isn't like this humorous wide margin that everybody's kind of making it out to be.

Is it the best I've ever heard? No, is it good? I think it's fine like I, I guess that's. My thing I talked about on the live, show it's an it's fine, it's not necessarily the greatest I've ever heard. It's definitely not the worst, I've ever heard, but is it going to taint the entire experience for the phone? Not for me, the every other benefit far outweighs the fact that it has still a smartphone speaker in it. It gets plenty loud for me, I'm not trying to have this crazy, goat, music, riddled experience when I'm listening to music on the pixel 5, I just throw my Pixel Buds in, and it becomes a moot point, and I would argue that most people are probably like that so yeah that was it. This was just a quick side by side test to show you what the pixel 5 speakers sounds like compared to everybody else's pixel, 4, XLS or pixel 4as.

So that's it! That's all I have thanks for watching and, as always as share subscribe thumbs up, leave a comment below we'll see you next time.
