iPHONE 8 PLUS Vs iPHONE 6S On iOS 12! (Speed Comparison) (Review)

All right, everyone I know you guys miss me. It's only been one day since I've even done a video that was like this format, but I know you guys have feelings for me, I mean you can tell me. I mean like it's only the truth, and it's been a minute since I did a comparison. Actually, so we're going to do the iPhone, 8 plus and compared to the iPhone 6s. Now I actually have the iPhone 6s plus coming tomorrow. So I'm going to do a lot of comparisons with that as well.

So if you guys do have an iPhone, 6s plus, don't fret I just had a water one, so it's coming in tomorrow, but the iPhone 6s actually has these same specs pretty much as the iPhone 6s plus. So the comparison here will be pretty much similar to I. Think the iPhone 6s plus what I'm still going to do, is everyone to kind of compare them, but in terms of both of them, obviously they look very, very different. You have a glass on the back. Obviously the size is one thing.

The iPhone A+ is pretty much the same size as the iPhone 6s plus, so you're going to have pretty much the same kind of like hold in factor the same size and everything you do have glass. In the back. Like I, said the glass on the back on my specific, a plus is cracked, and I'm. Not a huge fan of glass on the back. I have an iPhone 10 that also has glass on the back I.

Just don't like it. I just think. It's one more reason to break I totally understand it, though, just because you get the wireless functionality like while I was charging and all that, but still I'm, not a huge fan of it. I kind of like the way the iPhone 6s feels it feels like way. More I just feel like I'm, not gonna, break it, and obviously the A+ feels more premium, but I think the success doesn't feel cheap at all.

It does have this stronger aluminum. You have to remember when the iPhone 6s, the iPhone 6, was released in the 6 plus they had pen gate. This one was a little stronger, so you don't really have an issue with it, but in terms of both the A+ obviously feels better, and for those of you who actually aren't familiar I should have said this earlier. What I usually do is I just test kind of like look at the phone, so the differences talk about the spice a little. The camera's.

Isn't that then I want to speed test they're both running iOS 12, the same exact version, not the betas or anything. So we can have a fair comparison between these, and it's better than just me talking the whole entire time, so we can kind of get a better idea what's going on with them, but in terms of the front we have a 4.7 inch panel on the iPhone 6s and a 5.5 inch panel on the iPhone 8 plus, and this panel does support 1080p between these two I think. Obviously, the A+ does have a sharper screen in some cases, from what I read online, the 8 plus is able to get brighter overall than the iPhone success, but I mean like it's very that's, a very bold statement, because, yes, it might be better or faster or whatever brighter I. Don't think it's like that. Much noticeable I, don't think.

That's one thing: I'm going for I, don't think I'm trying to look for a brighter screen, I'm, just looking for a better screen overall I guess that could fall under that. But that's kind of in this area opinion they both support for such as well. So that's pretty cool something that the iPhone 10 r will not support, but it's okay, I guess and then people hate when I complain about it, but it's whatever they both are the same side buttons and everything now looking at the back, how to lower the brightness a little. But this is probably one of the more controversial opinions. Okay, because this one has a dual camera setup.

This is a single camera setup and that in and of itself I mean its book pretty big upgrade. So I will give the benefit of the doubt to the iPhone A+. It does have a better camera they're, both 12 megapixels, though technically this one has two 12 megapixel sensors, but this one has a single mega pix, 12 megapixel sensor in the back. They both support. Oh, is the only one sensor on the iPhone 8 plus support.

So why I still the left one, the bigger one, the right one is just kind of allows you to do more zooming in so photo, but the iPhone 8 plus does have some features like portrait mode portrait lighting. Some other features like that which are pretty amazing, to have I, mean I use portrait mode all the time, and it doesn't hurt to have it. But it's a perfect feature, I think and if you're, it's a definitely worthwhile feature to get, it might be worth to upgrade. It might not to some of you guys to me: I mean I, think it's a pretty decent upgrade from an iPhone 6s in terms of the camera you're able to shoot 4k on both cameras, but you're able to shoot 4k at 60 frames per second on the iPhone 8 plus. So it's a little of an advantage, and you're also able to shoot 1080p videos at 240 frames per second, we were only able to shoot 120 frames per second on the iPhone 6s.

So a little of difference there not a humongous thing, but it's really only if you like video quality, but I do think the iPhone 6s camera is still pretty decent. It's not horrible at all, and looking at the front, we have a 5 megapixel camera on the iPhone 6s and a 7 megapixel camera on the iPhone 8 plus again a little of difference. There I think in terms of video resolutions, though they both shoot 1080p at 30 frames per second. So a little of difference there, not a humongous thing, but I do think. Both cameras are very good.

The A+ obviously is better. Overall, the iPhone success still isn't that much far behind, if I'm being completely honest now before I run the speed test, I kind of want to go over a little of the OS versions and that kind of area that we're going to get so the iPhone 6s started off getting iOS 9 right. Now it's going to get iOS 12. In my opinion. Now it could be wrong, but I would imagine that this phone is only going to get one more version of iOS.

So it's going to get iOS 13. Then it's going to stop where's on the iPhone 8 plus they started off getting iOS 11 it's going to get I was 12 it's when a guy was 13, 14, and I believe 15 as well. So it has a lot more years of iOS versions left, whereas on the iPhone success, it's really only getting supported for one more year, technically, two more years or a year and a half the wit, which way you look at it. But if I was 13 is bad for some reason, the iPhone 6s could technically get one more version of iOS, but still you're going to get a longer lifespan on an iPhone 8 plus then on an iPhone success. So that is something kind of to keep in mind.

I hate like bringing it up in every single video, but it's very, very important, and it's really cool, because the iPhone 6s had a very long lifespan, and it's a very good phone, but some people, you know they want to get a phone now, that'll last them for a couple more years. Longer, maybe so in that case, the iPhone A+ is a very decent option as well and I kind of want to hit on the specs really quickly. I didn't even do it yet. The iPhone 6s has the Apple A9 chip. Has a dual-core processor clocked at one point, eight four gigahertz and two gigabytes of RAM, with the iPhone eight plus has the Apple 11 Bionic chip, hex, core processor and three gigabytes of RAM.

So, just based off the specs like that, it would probably be safe to assume that the iPhone A+ is a much better performer and I 100% agree with that. I do think the iPhone A+ is a lot better of a performer than the iPhone success, but how much better is it? This is the time when we go ahead and run the speed test, so you guys aren't familiar I literally just load up some random apps between these two I make sure everything is cleared all in the back, and we are pretty much good, so they pretty much have these same exact apps within them. So not too much difference here and the table might shake, and the camera might shake a little too, but I'll try my best to not shake them, but this table is a little wobbly. So we're just going to forget that, but let's go ahead and load up some simple apps: let's go onto the camera three two one- and these are always weird because I go from when the orange box opens in the middle I- would maybe assume the iPhone success there. But again, if that was probably only by chance, the iPhone 8 plus it is faster.

Let's do the photos. Three two one, almost pretty much less I would say the 8 ?, 8 plus, is faster, and again I want to say that I'm looking at it at an angle, so might not I might say something that might be wrong. So in that case it look like the iPhone 6s might have been faster, but I think Baffin, a plus was faster they're still calendar 3-2 I would maybe they're both the same. Now that was pretty hard to see a suit male 3 2 1, look like the f-16s was faster on that one. So that was really weird.

Let's do maps 3 2 1, the iPhone A+ definitely open that one up faster and maps is kind of interesting because you're sometimes able to see how fast it takes to load up a certain area, and you can see that I would in terms of the buffering rate. I'll, probably say the iPhone e+ does have the advantage there. It didn't buffer as long. So that's definitely good. Let's do clock.3 2 1 pretty much the same. Let's do weather 3, 2, 1.

Well, look I, think the iPhone A+ was faster there too, so thankfully, the iPhone A+ is looking to be faster overall less to stocks.3 2, 1, okay, so this one did have the little thing right there. So what I'm going to go ahead and do is I'm going to go and continue that I'm, just going to hop out of both of them again, and I'm. Just going to go ahead and rerun that just because I don't want to make it like uneven. Let's do stocks 3, 2 1, so we're gonna, look at it again, like the iPhone A+ was going to be faster, no matter what so that's definitely a good thing. Let's do news, 3, 2, 1, and I think yet the phone a+ was fast.

There too. Man look at the news today, man, all this, like crazy political stuff, I, don't know what area you guys fit in the politics: I'm not I'm going to stay indifferent, though. Let's do notes, 3, 2, 1, ok, I, honestly, I, don't know which one was faster. All that you guys choose there, but that one was pretty close in my opinion. Let's do reminders.3 2, 1, I've funny, plus definitely 100% faster there. Let's do the app store three two one: okay, that one was pretty interesting: I wasn't paying attention I'm, sorry, but you guys can see which one is faster.

Let's do iBooks through to one, and it looks like the iPhone a plus was way faster. There I, don't know why the iPhone success was so much slower. I was not expecting that now those are look, let's go and do the watch app I always forget to do this one three two one, and it looks like the phone. A plus was just a little faster there, but so far those were the stock apps. You can see that there's not a humongous difference between them.

There is a noticeable difference. Most the time you have phone a plus is faster, but it's not like wow. This phone is way faster. So let's go ahead and do something like apps. You normally would probably download like to Instagram three two one, and it looks like on the iPhone success that opened up faster there.

That was kinda interesting. Let's go onto Twitter three two one, and it's looking like Twitter again on the iPhone success flows up faster, very, very strange, was not expecting that let's go ahead and do Facebook three two one: okay, look pretty even on both. Let's go ahead and do YouTube three two one, and it looks like on the iPhone success that opened up faster. That is literally insane I was not expecting that, so those were kind of minimal ones. Let's go and do Temple Run three, two one, and it was something like this I mean it's.

It's usually interesting just because it is a very like minor game. It doesn't take that much, and you can see that. Obviously the iPhone success was pretty behind I'm, not to sure what happened there in the beginning, though, looks like they were on two different stages, but still to get into the actual game. The iPhone 8 plus was faster as expected because it is kind of a know faster phone. Now, let's go ahead and pick it up a notch just go and do Real Racing 3 three, two one now this might take a minute on both, but, as you can see, the iPhone 8 plus is already kind of ahead, and this is a pretty intensive game.

If you guys aren't familiar so this one's already in the game. This one will shortly follow I believe, depending on the status or where it's at okay. So then this one got into it shortly after so these are kind of on two different playing fields, but the loading time is pretty much what you're going to see on every stage of the game, so that was definitely interesting. The iPhone, 8 plus, was definitely faster there and maybe that's the area over the place that it shines up with more intensive games or more intensive apps, because this one has three gigabytes to ram this one has two quite a bits of difference. There I mean I still think two gigabytes of RAM is sufficient on an iOS device, but I guess it just really depends on: let's go ahead and load up the benchmarking app and see the multi-core score.

So, as you can see, I have to update this, but on the iPhone 8 plus we have two hundred forty-five thousand two hundred sixty as a multi-core score and one hundred six thousand five 188 on the iPhone 6s. So based off these scores, you would probably assume that the iPhone success is twice as or the iPhone eight plus was twice as fast as the iPhone success. But from what I'm seeing I don't think the iPhone A+ is twice as I. Think it's more so like it's very middle-of-the-road. Okay, the iPhone success I would say it's like middle class for sure, but the iPhone A+ isn't like astounding or groundbreaking or anything, or maybe it's supposed to be the opposite, maybe I'm looking at a different way.

Maybe the iPhone A+ is very, very astonishing and groundbreaking, but the iPhone success is so good that it's like in terms of performance, it's kind of competing with the iPhone A+ I. Think that's the way. I see it I, don't think the iPhone A+ is slow at all. I just think the iPhone 6s is still pretty fast. So that's kind of a compliment.

If you have an iPhone 8, plus it's definitely faster than the iPhone success. You can see from the multi-core score, you're spending more money for more of a phone, but it's definitely interesting. I was not expecting that if I were to compare the iPhone 8 plus to the iPhone 6, you would notice the iPhone 6 would take years to open up something and that's a little of over exaggeration, but not even that much I mean I'll, be honest. The iPhone 6 is pretty slow, but the iPhone success, however, is still pretty fast for what it is, and I'm pretty surprised by it. Now one thing I'm, not surprised about in terms of the iPhone success, will probably be battery life I, never liked the battery life on the iPhone success.

It's very average a little below average. You probably have to charge it by the end of the day wears on the iPhone 8 plus you have a two thousand six hundred ninety-one million power battery, which is still fairly large, and you have wireless charging as well. If the iPhone success has a 1715 million power battery, still that's a pretty big difference there. I would definitely say that in terms of battery life, for both the iPhone 8 plus does have a better advantage. You will probably have to charge it by the end of the day on the iPhone 6s, whereas on the iPhone 8 plus, you won't have to charge it by the end of the day, probably with my iPhone 10 I found that I charge, usually almost every day at night, but depending on your usage, let's say you use these phones the same exact way the iPhone 8 plus is going to last you longer, and that is pretty much it.

What I'll say is if you have an iPhone success, you could probably keep it for another year. You probably won't need to upgrade. If you have an iPhone A+, though you should definitely consider keeping if it's a very good phone, there's really no reason to upgrade to like an iPhone 10s max. Yet I would wait until those prices go down a little. I will leave a link to an iPhone 6s and an iPhone 8 plus in the description below.

If you want to pick up either of these phones, I try to find the lowest prices and link them down there. So definitely consider getting them through that if you want to help support the channel, but that is pretty much it if you guys have any questions or concerns or anything like that, leave it down in the comment section below hit that, like button that'll mean so much, but definitely hit that subscribe button, every single subscriber. We get really does counsel me if you guys get hit that also check out the other links down in the description as well. My Twitter, my Instagram, my second channel oaf alpaca on that channel I, pretty much talk more about the plus versions of iPhones and do more iOS reviews and everything. So if you have an iPhone, 8, + or 6, plus 6s plus 8, whatever phone, it is, if it's a plus variant, I talked about on that channel, I do speed comparisons.

Battery test for all iPhones that are supported so definitely check that channel I. Don't really appreciate it, but more importantly, that everything else I love every single one of you guys hopeful catch. You guys in the next video peace out.
