iPhone 8 Plus Battery Replacement- How To By iFixit

You'd think the battery in the iPhone 8 plus, is big enough to last forever, but it doesn't so today, I'm going to show you how to replace it. For this repair you're going to need a P two pantalone screwdriver, a Philips, triple zero driver, a tripping, Y, triple zero driver, an eye-opener one ice block, some I fix at opening, picks, tweezers and a spider opening your iPhone may decrease its water resistance, so be sure to keep your iPhones safe from water exposure in the future. First things first make sure your phone is powered off and then go ahead and remove the two pantalone screws from the bottom, we'll need to soften the adhesive on the phone using our eye-opener and then grab your ice black to help separate the display. Now you can slide a pic into the seam of the phone and cut away the adhesive along all sides. The top of the display is held in place by Clips. So you need to pull the display down a little to disengage them.

Then slowly open the iPhone to the right towards the power button, just like a book but backwards, but be careful. The display is still connected by delicate cables, grab your Philips triple zero driver and remove the four screws on the bracket that covers the battery display and home-button cables. Now move upstairs and remove the two tripping screws, securing the front camera and sensor cable and disconnect the cable. Now you can fully remove the display. This iPhone now has four battery adhesive tabs use your tweezers to get the tabs lifted and then start to pull them out by hand if any of them break try fishing them out with your tweezers and twist with your tweezers to remove if that still doesn't work, use an eye-opener to heat up the back of the iPhone to soften the adhesive, then use opening pics or a plastic card to pry the battery out of the case.
