iPhone 12's BEST Controller | Razer Kishi iOS Review

I know you guys have been waiting for me to do a review of the racer fish for iOS, and you've been waiting to see. How does it stack up against the fish for android? I have it right here is paired with my iPhone and is definitely a controller that I'm going to say just off the top. It's just fantastic. I've had absolutely no issues with it and being able to play my Xbox games on and be a remote play from the Xbox app has been fantastic along with Apple Arcade, too. It's got some gems in it. We're going to dive into it with this review, so uh go ahead and stay tuned and let's go ahead and roll the intro.

Before we keep this video off. Let me introduce myself, I'm Mikhail Casanova, I'm a Hawaii content creator and host of voice number one podcast, the cast symbol podcast, I stream every single week on twitch. TV, slash, Mikael Casanova and if you're looking for video game reviews, tech and more than I think you're on the right channel for that. So with that being said, we're here to review the racer fish for iOS, and this is a game changer. I absolutely love this controller and what we're going to get into with this video we're gonna, do an unboxing, hands-on impressions, an overview as well as a full review, and it might be a little long.

Just give you guys a heads-up, it's not going to be a short video. So if you want the spoiler alert, spoiler alert, you should get this. This thing is phenomenal, but other than that we're gonna just go ahead and dive into this review of the racer key sheet. Oh c uh, okay. So what we're going to be doing here guys is we're going to be doing uh, I'm basically going to show you how the racer key shoot works when it's paired with your phone, like it's really simple, simply easy to use, and I want to show you how to set this up and how this works.

So I've got my iPhone here, I'm going to go ahead and take that out and go ahead, put it in here. So, as you can see here, this is the racer key sheet. This is what it looks like mine has a little of dust on it, just because I'm a pet owner, so I do have you know pet hair will be flying around, so you'll see a little of that. But this is the back of it here. You'll see the racer logo, and then you can see the top part here where you can see the triggers, so the uh l1 l2.

Let me flip it this way, so you guys can see so l2 l1 r2 r1. I don't know why Paul's saying that, and then you've got your analog sticks which uh I prefer. This to me is a more comfortable layout when it comes to utilizing an analog. Stick, I think you've got your d-pad here, really responsive. It's very tactile.

You got basically your options. Button, your home button, your start button, and then you've got your button layout, similar to the Xbox controller, so an x y and b and for reference I do have an Xbox controller, which I can show you guys how similar it is. As far as layout, so it's the same button layout same start button so share button or the button is different, but pretty much the same thing. So, let's put that back over there and then what we're going to do is I'm going to show you how to open it. So on the back here, as you can see, if I were to turn it sideways you'll see that there are little clamps here which go up and down so when it's like this is basically locked in and pretty much what you can do, there are two ways you can go about getting inside.

You can literally just pull it out like that, which I mean. If you want to do that, you can or the other way you can just pull and then lift, and so this is how it is stretchy. So all the cabling for the controller, the inputs, the buttons and everything runs in this elastic cable, like it runs in this elastic like material here. So if we are to flip it over. This is what it looks like when it's like that.

So you've got your lightning cable here, which is what your phone will be connecting to, and then you've also got your bumper so, depending on the type of iPhone you have and the come with multiple bumpers, depending on what which one you have. It's also compatible with the new iPhone 12. So you can pull it out and if you want, you can change these out. If you have a smaller iPhone, or you know if you have a smaller iPhone, you want to use it with this, and you can, because it comes with a set of bumper cars that reflect the smaller size. So this is good for, like the iPhone 12 Pro max or with the iPhone 11 Pro max and the bigger iPhone.

So both sides actually come out, so you can actually pull this out as well. If you grab this and then just start pulling as you'll see it'll come out, then you can just plop it right back in so this right here. I know a lot of people are concerned about this, possibly scratching the back of your iPhone. I'm not worried about it because it hasn't scratched mine, but what you can do, so we're going to take the iPhone and then what we're going to do is just go ahead and slap it in. So, as you can see, as you can see here and yes, I do have a crack on my screen- you just take it slide it in like so, and then you take this part prop it in and there you go.

This is what it looks like. This is what it looks like in hand. I guess I have a lot of fingerprints on my screen. So if I'm to go over to a game, let's scroll over, so I have a whole game folder. So I've got a couple of games here.

Uh there's one thing that when it comes to using the fish with the iPhone is what you want to do for any of this. So we're going to go to the game. Folder. There is a fish app, so you want to launch that while the phone is connected. So if you need to do any type of update, then this is the app you're going to go through, which is going to update the firmware of the phone itself.

Now, if I were to go to some of the games that I have on here, I have a couple that work with it. Unfortunately, no gentian impact does not work with the controller. The engine impact doesn't currently have any controller support, which is disappointing as it's one of the better games out there, but yeah. Let's go ahead and check out a couple of games. We're gonna check out some ocean horn, which is a perfect game if you're familiar with like Legend of Zelda style, games, kind of like breath of the wild means, twilight princess.

So this is what it looks like. So you guys see I'm going to turn it angle, so you can see, as you can also tell that when the phone's connected that the that there is a light here which showcases that this is in use- and one thing about this is this- is a lightning pass-through. So you can play and charge your phone the same time, if you put a lightning cable in here to charge it the only thing about it is your not going to be able to use like lightning headphones or anything like that. This is purely a pass-through charger. That's all it's going to allow you to do so.

We got the game booted up here and what we're going to do is we're going to go ahead and let's go save slot 1, let's go ahead and select it, and then we're just going to go ahead and get into the game, but, as you can tell, I can move around and aim with the right stick. I can move around with the left: stick I'm able to aim down iron sights or with his little pocketable gun with the right with the left trigger here, then I can fire with the right trigger or r2, and then I have weapon wheel with r1. I can roll when running with a can attack with x and if I hold down y, I can charge a triple attack now he has a stamina gauge, of course, so once the seven engage builds back up, another thing I'll, I can do. Furthermore, I can show you guys how to block, which is two ways you can go about, blocking you can either hold b or you can hold the right trigger, which allows you to do that. So this is ocean horn.

It's a fully featured game available in Apple Arcade. So it's definitely one of the games. You want to check out, especially if you want to put your racer key sheet to the full usage. This is the game. You don't want to run, so we're going to switch over to another game, uh samurai jack, which is a game.

I did a full review on with the Nintendo Switch version. This is going to be the iOS version for Apple Arcade, but it runs like a champ. So I'm about to show you that right now, all right, so we got some samurai jack going on here, as you guys can tell. This is what it looks like. It runs at 60 frames per second.

This is a really nice looking game, so I can move around with the left. Stick. I can control my camera with the right and then just like the console version I can attack with x. Heavy attacks with y jump with a dodge would be blocked with l1 sprint with r2 there. We go fully featured its kind of hard to capture gameplay footage with you're not going to be able to see how good this game looks.

This game looks way better than the Nintendo Switch version, which is shocking. It runs better. It looks better- and it's just amazing that this runs on my iPhone so yeah. Let's get these last couple images in out of the way all right and then what I'm also going to do is show you guys on last games on here. I'm going to show you uh streets, rage, 2, and then I want to show you guys how to use Xbox Live remote play which is really really really cool.

So let's go ahead and fire up streets rage. So I got it right here, so I'm going to hop in let's go ahead and select our boy axle, so you can move around either using the left, analog stick or the d-pad. Now, as always, let's pick up that life right there. As you can see, I'm moving around the d-pad no issues whatsoever get that combo in get them with that grand upper there we go. It just runs like there's.

No input lag, that's another thing too uh. This has no latency, because it's a direct connection, so you don't have to worry about like Bluetooth, controller, uh, latency or anything like that. This is just a straight one to one connection, so whatever your as soon as you press it, it's doing, so I can show you guys how remote play works, so you can play your Xbox games all right. So what you're going to do here? Um you're going to need to have the Xbox app open, and then you're going to go to the folder where it says consoles, and you're going to click on your console, make sure you're on Wi-Fi, because this is the only way it's going to work. It's going to ask you if you want to remote play, so you're going to press remote play on this device, it's going to give you a prompt on your Xbox.

If you haven't already like paired, it will give you a prompt if you paired it already, then you're not going to have to worry about it all right. So you got that message pop-up that I'm playing remotely, as you can see here and then whatever I do with the controller. So I can actually move around here, like you're. Seeing me move around you're, seeing it also on the device itself. So I turned off the light just so you can be able to see the screen on the racer key sheet, so I'm able to move around using the d-pad and then, if I want to, I can go check.

So let's say I'm going to fire up some gears right, so press an all right. So here 's we're on the game, so we're going going to go ahead and get into a firefight. You can see it's giving me 60 frames per second that I would get if I was playing it normally. Oh, I would put myself in the middle of a crazy fire fight all right scratch, one they're down one more to go same as a pure bullet sponge. If you got a good, solid internet connection, it really isn't going to feel like there's any latency whatsoever.

You can see whatever I'm doing here on my phone with the key sheet you're, seeing it in real time not trying to play this in a way that I can record the footage. It's not easy, as you can see, I just got boom headshot right shout out to JD for the save what we need to do. We need to take these snipers out. Oh, he's gonna, take these snipers out, and so, as you can tell, this is what it looks like when it's just fully being used with the Xbox, and if I switch back over here, then you can see. I mean it's, it's a very seamless and fun device that being able to play apple, arcade games, my Xbox games be a remote play and everything you can get off of the Apple Store.

This is a solid device. Now, if you want to compare it size wise to something like say, Nintendo Switch. This is the size difference. You're gonna, see here uh. It is slightly wider than Nintendo Switch.

The height wise, it's uh, slightly smaller height wise Nintendo Switch. I definitely say it's a bit more economical when you're in the sense of like how you're going to hold it. I love the switch, but I personally use the horizontal joy-cons with the grip on them, which is similar to what the racer fish has as this for me, uh. After a while of long play sessions, my hands start to cramp in this, but yeah width, wise, it's its smaller and the higher y is just slightly shorter than the Nintendo Switch and when compared to a Nintendo Switch light, just kind of compress it down a little more, and you have an idea of what it's like. This is a really solid device through and through.

If you're looking at playing games off of the Apple Arcade playing games off the iOS store or playing games from your Xbox via remote play is definitely something that I really like it. I, like the ergonomic, look of it uh, it's a very comfortable controller. I have no worries about it. Scratching here with the back plating. I have any scratches yet and uh just the size and feel of it.

So what I love about it is the fact that I can just literally pull this out, play my games and go from there, but the controller overall sturdy solid feel no issues whatsoever. Uh, here's something else I should bring up people have brought that up that they feel like it's going to break uh. I haven't had any issues with this whatsoever. I don't pull my devices when I'm playing them like this. Furthermore, I don't press them in like this and I don't come.

You know just squeeze them literally just rest. In my hand, this is how it is. This is ergonomically comfortable for me. So this is the experience you're going to get when you're using it so hey there. You go that wraps up the review of the racer key sheet for iOS, and again I want to thank racer for sending me out a review unit of this.

I know I'm supposed to get this out a little sooner, but you know this is something I really want to take my time with and go just put it through its paces, put it through the motions and make sure that I can deliver the best possible video for you guys, and I know it may have been a little jarring to see. I do have a little crack on my iPhone screen protector. Furthermore, I'm waiting for my replacement screen protectors to come in, and I know that you may have seen a little glare from the light. It's kind of hard to capture footage from another device, that's showing a screen when you've got a lighting on it and awkward angles to record, but I'm trying to do my best. So I can showcase everything to you guys, and I hope you guys, can appreciate that.

But again, thank you to racer for sending this out to me and uh yeah. What are you guys thoughts? Do you have the racer key she's?
