iPhone 12 vs Galaxy S21 // Don't Make THIS mistake

This video is made possible by visible use the links in the description below for more information. What's going on guys Kevin the tech ninja here, and today we're doing a comparison between the iPhone 12 and the galaxy s21. Now both of these phones are considered budget flagship price range, that's even a thing: let's take a dive into these two phones and see which one's the best a lot of people are making this mistake by solely looking at specs, while specs do matter. Software optimization is huge, and we'll see about that when we get into the performance sections and check a few things out. The iPhone 12 starts at 799 for 64, gigabytes of storage and 4 gigabytes of ram the galaxy s.21 starts at the same price, 799 for 128, gigabytes of storage and 8 gigabytes of ram. Now both phones comes in different colors, but the iPhone has more color options.

The back of the iPhone 12 is made from glass, and it's pretty slick it can attract some fingerprints, and it will. The s21 is matte plastic that does a good job at not getting too many fingerprints. Honestly, I like the plastic on the s21 more than the glass on the iPhone 12, but of course that is more so a personal opinion. These phones are pretty much the same size, and they feel the same in the hand. The s21 screen is slightly bigger, and I mean just slightly now.

Both these phones do feel solid, and they do have a high-end feel to them, so that plastic isn't cheap feeling using each phone in the hand. I'd say it's close to a draw, but I personally do like the squared off design on the iPhone 12 a bit, but still in the hand either. One is fine, I would say, as far as unlocking the phones, the galaxy s21 has an advantage with the in-screen fingerprint scanner now wearing a mask out and about on the iPhone face. I'd doesn't work so a lot of times you have to swipe and press and type in a pin key- and you know, takes a little longer to get into your phone. The s21s face to unlock is pretty solid, but not as secure as the iPhone, but if you're wearing a mask, then the in-screen fingerprint sensor works just fine, or you can even do a swipe code, pin there are many ways to get into a galaxy, and that gives it an advantage.

One significant advantage that the galaxy s21 has over the iPhone is that it has a high refresh rate, meaning things just appear to be faster and smoother. Now in video, it's extremely hard to show you, but when using the phones in the hands, you can definitely tell the difference. Let's take a quick break from this video to talk about today's sponsor visible sponsorship aside, I am actually a customer of visible. I moved my family over to party pay and now each of us are only paying 25 bucks a month. Visible's wireless service is as low as 25 a month for unlimited data messaging minutes and hot spots, now powered by Verizon 5g included at no additional cost party pay is like a family plan, but each person pays their own part.

Once you have that fourth person in your party, each person is paying only 25 a month. A new feature now is that you can have more than four people on the plan, so even if a person leaves you are still on that 25 dollar rate. Now, since it's on Verizon's network, I have excellent coverage everywhere. I've been since I've been on visible hit my link below to sign up with visible right now, and thanks to visible for sponsoring this video, and now, let's get back to it day to day. Both phones are just fast running apps games bouncing into the camera.

You know, basically anything you want to do with your phone these days right. You can do it now. Both phones are using the latest chip that are available for their respective platform, meaning if you buy this phone today, you should have great performance for a couple of years to come. At least now your iPhone will get updates for several years and the s21 well that could be hit or miss. You know you may find yourself out of date for months when a new version of android drops like it does.

Every summer now, moving along to the camera, I'd say both cameras are very good, and at this point I think they're neck and neck. Now each phone does things better than the other one. So the s21 has three lenses and the iPhone 12 has two now that means the s21 has an advantage on the zoom lens, and it also has this space zoom feature at 30x now for portrait mode. I think iPhone is better at detecting people and objects and hair and ears and glasses, and all that stuff, and also it's faster than Samsung's in general. I'm not saying I don't like Samsung's as some other images I do like more, but the iPhone is more consistent in this category.

Furthermore, I think for outdoors Samsung has the best camera. It gives you a more dramatic scene, and I think the iPhone is a bit more realistic, but the colors are pushed a little towards orange. While Samsung is cool, it's bright, and I mean you get the punchlines of the sky and all these things just really makes it for a nice outdoor camera. Although not super realistic, the iPhone HDR video is better than what Samsung has as Samsung's is hdr10, but it's still an experimental feature. It even says it in the app sending HDR videos to a friend who has an iPhone and the results are really, really cool now, whereas for me, it's hard to enjoy HDR footage, that's shot on my s21.

I have to put them on a TV or have someone download the image directly. I mean it's just not super ideal. Now, as far as features both phones are featured packed but Samsung always brings the latest tech like the in-screen fingerprint scanner, reverse charging 30x space, zoom, 8k, video, 4k 120. , the iPhone doesn't bring you many new features at all. I mean that's what they're known for, but it has a new design which I really, really like, but beyond that it feels like an iPhone.

Now. Both cameras are at the top of the class for many reasons, but for the one camera I'd have to go with, it'll be the s21. The flexibility of Zoom is great and outdoors. This is a fantastic camera, and video mode has had a huge step up with some additional software features, and stabilization is perfect too. Now, when we discuss the premium lineup, the story could change, but at this price point Samsung is at the top.

So look as a person that does tech a lot of people always ask me the question: should they get an iPhone or the galaxy, and obviously it goes down to ecosystem and experience now. Look Samsung has made their case that their ecosystem is worth talking about with its TVs, home appliances, Galaxy Buds, galaxy watch, SmartThings and more Samsung still runs android, and at this point I think it's a hindrance to Samsung, as we know that Samsung has greater ambitions outside of android. The iPhone's ecosystem is stronger than ever with all the same stuff. That Samsung has plus more including mac books apple, TV, smart speaker, home kit and so much more is the iPhone 12 better than the galaxy s21 straight up? No, I don't personally think so, but the overall picture just depends on which ecosystem you are part of now. One thing google does for better or worse that it makes all of its stuff available on iOS 2.

, so you're not missing out by owning an iPhone. However, HomeKit iMessage, just to name a few things are iOS only so you will be missing out by not buying an iPhone for those specific things, and then people get locked into the ecosystem and become an apple fan or apple user forever. At the end of the day, you can't go wrong with either, and it's a great time to be a person looking to buy a new phone. The budget flagship category is so good, it's hard to justify upgrading to their premium offerings. Those are my thoughts I want to know what yours are.

My name is Kevin. The tech ninja, if you like this type of content, give it a like, and I'll talk to you guys later peace once again, a big thanks to visible for sponsoring this video.
