iPhone 12 Pro vs iPhone 11 Pro Comparison & Review!

So before we even talk about the 12 pro we kind of have to revisit the 11 pro. This has been a smartphone that I've been using as my daily driver ever since it came out, and I don't have a ton of complaints like the only thing I can think of off the top of my head. Is the intel modem like there'd be times I'd, be up north, and I'd have an android phone with me and the speeds were not as good as the android devices, not nearly as bad as the intel modem used on the 10s, but still not as good as the Qualcomm modems you'd find in most android smartphones. Now, the good news is the 12 pro is using a Qualcomm modem, plus it has 5g, so the connection issues have been completely removed. The other thing is durability, like this phone has been great, I've had it in two cases over the year, and I've dropped this thing hundreds of times there's not one scratch or dent or scuff on the body. The only area that has damage is the screen.

There are tons of little micro scratches embedded into the display, and this is a result of taking it in and out of my pocket. This is expected from any smartphone if you want to keep it protected, I'm going to be placing a brand tempered glass on my iPhone 12 Pro so that a year from now I won't have any micro scratches on my display. Now that's another area that I do like about the 11 pro. It's still a small phone. It still feels very comfortable to use with one hand, but I always found it to be a bit too small and the display on the 12 pro I find to be the perfect size.6.1 is still manageable with one hand, but yet the screen still feels big that you can enjoy content on it, there's not much difference in terms of design like they still have bezels, but they're, thinner on the 12 pro. The notch is the same size, so that hasn't been changed either and if you want to talk about displays, they're, both 800 nits, with a peak brightness of 1200, I'm not seeing a big difference in terms of color accuracy or color gamut they're, pretty much exactly the same.

But I will say this, though: the design of the iPhone 12 Pro is awesome. It's hands down one of my favorite designs period, this squared off chunky feeling phone in the hand, even though it's thinner than the 11 pro feels great, like there are videos by Zach from Jerry everything where he tries to break this phone, and he can't because it's built like a tank. Now the difference between this and the regular 12 is the frame. This is using a stainless steel and, as you can see here, it's just marked up with fingerprints. So, if you're going to be carrying your phone naked, you might want to consider the iPhone 12 instead, because the aluminum frame doesn't pick up fingerprints as easily now there's another area where the 11 pro is better than the 12 pro and that's when it comes to battery life.

Like you just get more battery life with the 11 pro it's bigger, it lasts longer, even after a year with a year of degradation on the battery, I'm still getting more battery life than the 12 pro. So the camera upgrade from the 10s to the 11 pro was huge, like you noticed the results right away, and even though the 11 pro and 12 pro do have differences, the upgrade is not as big. They still share the same camera array, a wide lens, ultra-wide and telephoto. The only difference is that the 12 pro has a wider wide lens, allowing in more low light and a lighter sensor that helps with depth information which is important for those nighttime portrait shots. But if you're looking at these pictures, they both do a fantastic job, and you can see that apple changed its computational photography to produce more saturated, sharp and brighter photos with the 12 pro.

The big difference, though, comes down to low light photography. They both can take nighttime shots using the telephoto and wide lens, but the 11 pro can't do night mode on the ultra-wide lens, whereas the 12 pro now can. The other area is those nighttime portrait modes. You can't do that with the 11 pro, but you now have night mode with the portrait modes on the 12 pro. As for video, they both take great video, and I'm not seeing a huge difference there, since they both shoot the same resolution and same frame rates.

The only advantage to the 12 pro is you can now shoot adobe vision. HDR. Do you need it? Must you get it? For that reason? Absolutely not it's not a must-have feature, but it's an important feature because I feel like it's going to push HDR forward. HDR is great. It makes a big difference in the content you're watching the problem is, is that these phones don't share the same codecs as other devices.

Everyone is in this Kodak war right now and no one can agree on everything. So if you share your HDR video with a device that doesn't support it, it's not going to look that great. But if you're viewing the video on your iPhone or a buddy's iPhone, it's going to look exceptional. So here's the bottom line, the 12 pro- is an amazing smartphone. I love it, but I still think the iPhone 12 is the better deal.

The feature difference between the 12 and 12 pro is so small compared to the 11 and 11 pro like at the end of the day, all you're really getting is a shinier device, a telephoto lens 5g and a little more storage.11 pro is still good, and if you can find a deal on it, that's cheaper than the iPhone 12. I recommend jumping on it, but if you can't just get the iPhone 12. As for your iPhone 11 Pro users out there, you have zero things to be jealous of because your phone is amazing and if I wasn't a tech, reviewer I'd still be walking rocking the eleven pro today. I hope that answers all of your questions. I hope you enjoyed this review because if you did feel free to hit the like button, if you're new to the channel subscribe, and I'll see you guys in the next video.
