iPhone 12 Pro Max Unboxing + First Impressions By Lloyd Sim

Oh, what's up guys Lloyd here back again with another video, so I finally got the one the baddest the biggest iPhone yet, and it is the iPhone 12 Pro max. I skipped the other launches that they got for the iPhone 12, so I didn't get the 12 pro 12, 12 mini well 12 mini released today too. Actually and it's November 13th 2020. Anyways stop rambling around Lloyd and uh yeah. Let's go ahead with this unboxing just cut away. By the way guys I ordered to unlock version, so um yeah.

I don't have to activate this well. I can activate this with any carrier and I have a and all of that all right here. It goes so here is the iPhone look at that bam check that out guys boom. Okay. So, according to I don't freaking, know yeah, let's just uh peel this thing right here, um some plastic wrap.

I don't know why, like what's up with, like other tech, YouTubers and stuff, like I'm, not I'm, not a very tech, savvy guy, but like so a lot of tech people just for some reason. This sound, like I don't know. What's so satisfying about that um comment down below if you found that satisfying, but I don't find it satisfying at all. I mean it's just plastic anyways. So here is the box itself.

The box b box and uh yeah, pretty sleek um, it's kind of a 3d is feel to it. So I know the camera can catch this, but it's kind of raced a little. I guess this is. Is this the actual like true to size phone itself? That's pretty cool yeah! Let's go ahead and unbox this. So here is the iPhone 12 Pro max guys wait a minute what in what boom there you go, guys iPhone 12 Pro max boom.

I got the pacific blue version and uh it's only the 128 gig and I don't need a lot of storage. To be honest, I use like the cloud stuff like google photos, iCloud all that stuff, so uh yeah, let's go ahead and take this guy off and just kind of show you guys what it looks like. So we get this. Oh my gosh. It feels wow.

It feels really premium on the hands. Um wow anyways, it comes with this bam, and then it's got the uh USB lightning, slash, USB, connector right here for fast charging and data transfer and all that good stuff. Then what else you get is, of course the typical you know: apple um sticker. I believe this used to come in like two stickers back in the day and yeah. They only provide one now um and, of course, the sim eject thingy that you guys basically will always have for when you buy your brand-new phones, anyways.

That is basically all for the box itself now for peeling. This part out, I don't know if you guys will find it satisfying too, but hopefully you guys can hear this. I don't, I don't know like people found it satisfying, I don't really care much to be honest, um and yeah. Here's the iPhone itself. I am going to set this up and uh do a quick size, comparison and whatnot.

Actually, you know what, since I'm already here, let's do a quick size comparison right now of the previous design that they did for this, which is the one and only iPhone 4. Yep. Still got it guys and, and it still works- it's got iOS 7.1.2 in this, though, and I actually jailbroke it the other day because I just wanted to and because it's a throwaway phone now, and you know it's broken and stuff, but here it is uh iPhone 4 versus the iPhone 12 Pro max. Look, how look it's like. I found his big brother or something it's like hey brother.

I lost you, but yeah really cool and here's the back comparison of iPhone 4 versus the iPhone 10 pro max. I also have the iPhone SE. So what do you guys think boom boom? Amazing, oh and uh. My girlfriend actually just handed me her iPhone 11. There.

It is guys as well 11 iPhone 11, just uh. You know not the 11 pro 11 pro max and the iPhone too max so design bam. Now. The big comparison here is the OnePlus 6t, which is my current phone, my daily driver for the past two years. I got this in fall, 2018.

, wow! Look at this beast. Definitely the bezel of the iPhone 12 Pro max is uh still a bit thicker. I don't know if you guys can see that there very clearly and also the notch. It's still massive for the iPhone models. All right so finished work and I also finished setting up the iPhone 12 Pro max.

Okay, so first impression of the phone itself I like how premium it feels I really like how expensive it feels it doesn't feel cheap. It doesn't feel plastic or fake aluminum-y. Is that a word, and I really like these massive cameras, kind of makes it look like it's a mirrorless camera a little. I really like how they went back to their old design of their previous iPhone model. Uh iPhone, 4, slash, iPhone SE, and I also like how easy it is to handle it feels like I don't need any case at all, but I'm actually going to put a case.

It is so cool to just feel it like this again and uh yeah okay for screen size. I know a lot of people have been saying. This is big um coming from an OnePlus 6t and the OnePlus 6t has a 6.4 inches screen size and the notch is pretty small. Actually so it kind of feels bigger, but the iPhone 12 Pro max definitely feel a lot bigger, and actually it is bigger, but I don't like the fact that it still has that massive notch. Now.

What I do like, though, is the iOS 14 and the widgets and all that stuff. It's really cool. How apple finally implemented that in their operating system- and I think they did it much better than android google, android and stuff like that. Now what I'm really excited about this phone and the whole reason why I got it is the camera quality, and I'm really excited to see the sensor shift in body image stabilization that the iPhone 12 Pro max has all the other iPhone 12 models does not have that so really curious to see it. Actually, here's a quick uh camera test right now, for you guys so kind of shooting a video here, and you probably won't be able to see the difference right away so yeah.

Now, as far as battery life goes, the OnePlus 6t has a slightly bigger battery size than iPhone 12 Pro max, however, keep in mind, I've had the OnePlus 6t since 2018, and is it was my daily driver. I don't mind the fact that the box doesn't have chargers uh, headphones and stuff like that. Now, as far as the color, I chose the pacific blue, mainly because it just looks sexy and one is something new and different from the past. Next one is the 5g: it's a new technology network technology. This phone was 3g and the iPhone 4 was also 3g um, but anyways, it's really cool to see what how fast 5g is and how good of a 5g phone this is, so hopefully I can test that out someday, but that's going to be later on in another video.

Okay. Now for the stuff, I don't like well, I kind of already mentioned it. It's the big fat notch that they can't seem to remove or just make it smaller and then uh. Definitely all these fingerprints that I am seeing right now. However, I don't really mind that, because I'm going to be putting you know a case and all that stuff here, oh and the camera itself, the camera bump like that is massive um.

So definitely a case will be needed for this uh. If you don't want it getting all scratched up later in the future or something okay, so I didn't purchase any of the apple accessories. When I was pre-ordering the iPhone 12 Pro max, mainly because they're too expensive and uh, you know most of the stuff can be found on Amazon, even though they're not apple branded, so first ones. First is, of course the charger. I know a lot of YouTubers big YouTubers are sponsored by anchor, I'm not sponsored or anything, so I won't link any of these at all, but you guys can just google it or something like that or just find yourself one on Amazon or somewhere else anyways.

This one is kind of like anchor too, and this one comes with a 20 watt charging capability, USB and uh yeah I'll just hook up my iPhone here and that's good to go another one is the extra cable. This one is six feet: uh type c to lightning cable, that I got off of Amazon as well, and this one is basically just an extra cable for my iPhone USB to lightning. Now, for the case, I got two of them so far, um, and they're not apple made or anything like that, so they're, pretty cheap. You just get them on Amazon, but this one is called by taxi car or something like that. It looks pretty dope.

I actually haven't tried this yet on my iPhone so first time opening it. Oh, it comes with a screen protector, that's cool! I don't know. If I'm going to use that yeah, I think their ceramic shield is like it's just super tough um I've seen some review videos drop tests and stuff like that, and it pretty much holds up to its hype anyway. So I got this um kind of like a fake wood case here from sassy car. It's on Amazon, and it looks pretty sleek as far as casing goes, and it fits flushed yeah that looks dope.

Actually, look at that yeah so got soft of Amazon, oh, and by the way, all these cases are mag MagSafe according to the description, and then also have this one right here, and it's a blue case as well just to kind of match my phone and yeah. It looks pretty good flush there and uh easy access to everything. So looks great see. All these can be found on Amazon. I mean you, don't have to copy me.

I'm not going to link any of these, though, because I don't have any affiliate links to them, but those were the brands. You can just go back to the video if you'd like to rewind it and stuff and get them for yourself and last but not least, I've been using this. It's the OK aka charger. It's a 65 watt charger. So it's basically it can charge like the MacBook pros and stuff like that, but it has the USB and a regular USB as well, and that one works well too, with the iPhone 12 Pro max 12 pro 12 12 mini anyways.
