iPhone 12 Mini vs iPhone 6S vs iPhone 6S Plus Size Comparison By Nick Ackerman

So, what is up guys nick here, helping you to master your technology? This is a dummy model of the iPhone 12 mini. It's a really great replica, showing you the design and also showing you the size, the comfort of holding this before you go ahead and pre-order it. My whole intention with this series of continuous videos on this size is to show you versus basically any iPhone you would upgrade from you. Don't have to watch all of these, I'm just making them for the people who have these phones, and you're thinking about upgrading. So here with the iPhone 6s, I covered the six before this, so this is going to be pretty similar, but the iPhone 6s is actually, I think, a little weightier 143 grams you're going to a lighter weight phone here, 135 grams, whereas the 6 was actually lighter than the mini, so the mini is lighter than the iPhone 6s. Now the 6s over here is a little thicker as well as the iPhone 6 at 7.1 millimeters, whereas the iPhone 12 mini here is 7.4. So, even though the 6 was significantly thinner than the iPhone 12 mini, the 6s is not significantly thinner than the 12 mini, but the 12 mini is still a little thicker.

Mostly due to the squared edges, you just can't beat that 6s6 design when it comes to thinnest. That was incredibly thin for the time now. If you take a look at these phones from the front, you'll notice that there's a little difference in height 138.3, this is where the iPhone 6 was. I think identical to the success is in the height, so the reach here, what a 4.7-inch screen. Wasn't that hard to be honest with you, the reach is going to be a little shorter, though on the 12 mini, because you're looking at only 5.18 inches high so and with the width. Here's where it makes a big difference.

For me, it's like three millimeters wider. On the know the iPhone 6s and with the width, here's where it makes a difference. It's like.3 millimeters wider, but that point three makes a difference of like that. Much it's very little, but that point three will be that difference between you barely reaching that last letter on the keyboard when you're swiped, texting or texting. I'm kind of you know messing around with your phone like this trying to get that typed out, so the iPhone 12 mini.

You got something coming if you want a comfortable feel. You also see the design is very different, but we'll cover this more in depth as we cover these phones. When I get the official unit, but overall I have to say the iPhone 12 mini the iPhone 6s. Definitely no headphone jack there on the 12 mini no headphones, no charger, no, nothing! Basically in the box, but at the same time I think you're going to be happy. If you decide you want to go to this 12 mini from the 6s, I think it's going to be pretty similar size, but also a little more comfortable.

Now talking about the 6s plus, I'm not sure many people are going to be going backwards in size like this. You might want to go to a max model. If you really love this 6s plus, because it's going to feel a lot smaller now, this only has a 5.5-inch screen. This has a 5.4-inch screen, so the screen on the 12 mini is a little smaller only by 0.1 inch, but because of the aspect ratio 16x9, the 6s plus screen still feels way larger than this iPhone 12 mini will feel. But that's besides the point, we're talking about over an inch taller here on the iPhone 6s plus.

That means incredibly more difficult to reach. The top of the screen. Incredibly taller feels huge in the hand the iPhone 6s plus, but that's what you wanted. It's a plus phone now over here for the 12 mini. If we take a look at this width wow I mean the width is out of this world difference.

But again, if you have bigger hands, if you're the type of person who's like I'm gonna, be typing like this. On my iPhone 6 as plus my hands are big. I don't want my thumbs doing this. You know having thumb wars when I'm trying to type and make mistakes you're going to like the width of a plus model phone or a max phone, so that width is very different here on that you're talking about a difference of over 10 millimeters, so 77.9 wide and over here, 64.2 millimeters, wide and thickness about the same actually 6s plus is a little thicker than the 6s. The 6s plus comes in at 7.3 millimeters at its thickest point, iPhone 12 mini 7.4, so almost identical when it comes to thickness at their thickest point, although them square sides do give it the illusion that it is that it's a lot thicker than it actually is and when it comes to weight, you're going to feel it the iPhone 6s plus 192 grams. This is a heavy boy.

The iPhone 12 mini nothing really 135 grams super lightweight again you're going to get that newer, iPhone, look on the back of the 12 mini on the front, but with that older 5s kind of design on the sides. So if you go from a 6s plus to a 12 mini you're, going down, but you're getting a lot more comfort, if you thought this was too cumbersome, you got you alert. You got lured in by the big screen days you held onto your 6s, plus you're, going to a much more comfortable size here. If you want something more in the line of this, you probably don't want to do this upgrade, but that's it for me for this one, the iPhone 12 mini versus the 6s and the 6s plus.
