iPhone 12 Mini vs iPhone 12 - Comparing Battery Life, Size & Value!

Okay, so this comparison does not have to be that complicated the iPhone 12 mini and the iPhone 12 are one and the same with a few key differences that separate these two 20 20 iPhones, the iPhone 12 mini, starts at 729 for 64, gigabytes of storage and the iPhone 12 starts at 829, also for 64 gigabytes of storage. So for 100 more, what are you getting with the iPhone 12 that you're missing from the iPhone 12 mini? Let's talk about it both of these new iPhones have terrific OLED displays the iPhone 12 has a 5.4 inch display with a resolution of 2340 by 1080. Meanwhile, the iPhone 12 is rocking a 6.1 inch display with a resolution of 2532 by 1170. , so not much of a significant difference where the resolution is noticeable to the naked eye. Now, if you are consuming a lot of media on your phone like Netflix and YouTube, the bigger display is obviously the way to go. You do get more screen real estate, so media consumption is a much more immersive experience on the regular iPhone 12.

I'm not saying that you can't consume media on the iPhone 12 mini, but this knot does become much more noticeable, especially when you are consuming media, because it's the same size notch. That's found on the regular iPhone 12, but now it's in a much smaller form factor, so it does become that much more noticeable quickly before we do continue. Just like this, the iPhone 12 and the iPhone 12 mini are designed the exact same with these beautiful flat edges, these sleek aluminum rails, and they both do come in the exact same colors. The only key factor that differentiates these two iPhones is the size.

Size is a complete matter of preference. Of course, some females tell me that 5.4 inches is good enough for them, and others tell me that they need that extra 0.7 inches to really get things going for myself. I'm completely content with the size of the iPhone 12 mini. This is the perfect size iPhone in so many ways. It's the iPhone that I've been asking apple to make for a very long time.

It's super easy to use with one hand everything, including the control panel, is within reach, and you don't experience any discomfort when handling this phone throughout the day. More importantly, the iPhone 12 mini is almost one ounce lighter than the iPhone 12 a difference in weight that you can feel with these phones. While you carry them around the iPhone 12 is a tad bit harder to handle. I find I do have average size hands, so for me my preference and size will always gravitate towards sleep mini. There is no question about it.

You do get better battery life on the iPhone 12. Although I was surprised by the screen on time, I was getting on the mini. I've been able to average around five and a half hours of screen on time consistently throughout my days, which did in fact surprise me. Keep in mind, though this was on a 4g network, with casual use. What I mean by that is, I was watching a few 10-minute YouTube videos, texting on WhatsApp and telegram and scrolling through social media throughout the day, all while taking a few pictures here and there with the same usage on both of these devices, I was consistently getting around seven hours of screen on time with the iPhone 12 and, as I mentioned earlier, five and a half hours with the iPhone 12 mini so about like an hour and a half difference of screen on time give or take.

I do understand, though, that many people do value battery life over convenience and portability for myself. Personally, I prefer the latter, so the iPhone 12 minis battery life is enough for me, I don't mind having to charge it once or twice throughout my day, and that's a trade-off that I'm willing to take for a more compact device, that's much easier to handle, but I do strongly believe, though, that max safe battery packs are coming either from apple or a third party, and it's going to change the way everything works. The concept is just like the MagSafe charger, where you just magnetically, attach it to the back of your device for some extra juice. That's required to get you through your day. These are most certainly coming.

It's just a matter of when so with the mag safe battery pack, I believe the iPhone 12 minis battery concerns can be totally written off for strictly thermal reasons when connected to a MagSafe charger. The iPhone 12 mini charges at a slower, 12 watts, as opposed to the standard 15 watts like on the iPhone 12, but since the iPhone mini has the smaller battery capacity. The charging speeds from 0 to 100 on both of these devices are virtually the same. Both these devices share the same versatile camera system with a 12 megapixel wide and a 60 megapixel ultra-wide angle camera. They both take great pictures in low light environments due to apple now using a seven element lens, not to mention they both support.

The fusion and smart HDR for more detailed images than previous iPhones could capture. I really despise saying this, but the iPhone 12 mini and the iPhone 12 are very evenly matched. Phones which one you should ultimately get comes down to your own personal preference. If you are like me, and you want a phone with a small screen and a compact form factor all while spending the least amount possible and still walking away with key upgrades, then the iPhone 12 mini is the model for you. But if you do need that bigger screen and a bit better battery life, then by all means I do recommend the iPhone 12.

So, at the end of the day, the only difference between these two phones are the battery life and the size which iPhone you choose is ultimately up to you. So let me know down in the comments below which iPhone did you go for the iPhone 12 mini or the iPhone 12. ? As always? Thank you so much for watching.
