iPhone 12 Mini Battery Solution! - MagSafe Battery Banks Are Here! By Rjey Tech

How's it going everyone, my name is RJ and if you're like me, and you daily drive an iPhone 12 mini, I may have a solution to your battery problems. One of the main complaints I always hear regarding the 12 mini is that the battery life isn't enough to last an entire day. I've been consistently averaging around 6 hours of screen line time, which is just enough for me to get through a full day of usage. By the time I'm ready to hop into bed and charge. My phone, my 12 mini, will be sitting at around 10 to 12 battery life left on heavier days of usage. The 12 mini gets me around three quarters of my day, so not entirely enough to get me through a full day, so I was waiting for a solution in the form of a MagSafe battery pack.

Let me introduce you to the era MagSafe battery pack. I called this back in October when the iPhone 12 mini first released. I said in a previous video that MagSafe battery banks were coming and that it was only a matter of time fast-forward. A few months and companies such as anger and era are releasing MagSafe battery packs to the public. Hero did send this out to me for review.

I've been testing it for a couple of days, and I have some thoughts when you purchase this power bank, you get a lot of interesting accessories inside the box. You do get a magnetic USA, two USB charging, cable and a magic kickstand. If you want to you, can attach this kickstand to the back of your power bank and the magnetic ring holds your phone up together quite well, so you can use this as a kickstand on your desk or whenever you are out and about. I didn't think I would be using this as much, but the use case of this kickstand has grown on me quickly before we do continue. It has a nice cold metal touch to it and, most importantly, the battery bank is ultra lightweight and portable. This is a 3 000 William hour battery bank, which is a bigger battery capacity than the battery found in the iPhone 12 mini. You can charge your iPhone 12 mini one and a half times using this battery bank, which is more than enough for an entire day of usage. The battery bank is super compact.

In fact, the thickness is nearly identical to the iPhone 12 mini. I usually carry it around in my jacket pocket. It doesn't weigh me down and whenever I need that extra juice, all I got to do is magnetically slap, this battery bank onto the back of my 12 mini and get that extra juice. How cool is that you might be asking how strong are the magnets? To my surprise, the magnets are very strong if you are using a MagSafe compatible case. You'll have no issues with the magnetic strength.

I usually rock my phones naked and the magnetic strength on this battery bank is terrific. This thing once attached is not going anywhere. You can use your iPhone rather comfortably with the battery pack on. I didn't have any issues texting and just casually using my phone. So there is no discomfort in that department over on the bottom.

There is a power button and four led indicators, letting you know how much use is left in the battery pack. Unfortunately, this battery bank isn't fast wireless charging. The battery pack charges your iPhone at a speed of 7.5 watts. I do wish it was 15 watts charging, but I'm assuming for safety and overheating reasons. Hero went to the safe route.

I also haven't noticed any overheating. The heat dissipation deck is pretty good. The back of my iPhone never gets hot. While I'm using this, which is always great to see when you attach the battery back to the back of your iPhone, you do get that cool MagSafe animation. So it does feel like you own, the official apple MagSafe battery pack.

Honestly, this is exactly what I've been waiting for. Sales of the iPhone 12 mini haven't been too hot, and I'm making the assumption a lot of people are turned off by the battery life, hopefully, as max safe battery packs do catch on more and more consumers will consider the iPhone 12 mini as their daily driver, because, quite honestly, it's an iPhone with no compromises.
