What is up you guys welcome back to my channel. Today's video is going to be for all of you who have been questioning the battery on the iPhone 12 mini. There's been a lot of controversy regarding the battery on the iPhone 12 mini and just from reading, through my previous comments on videos that I've made about the iPhone 12 mini in the past, a lot of the concerns you guys had regarded the battery on the iPhone 12 mini and how long it does realistically last on a day-to-day basis, I'm going to go through my day today using my iPhone 12 mini as I normally would so. You can see in real time how the battery actually sustains itself. I'm also going to talk to you guys about some things. I have noticed about the battery on the 12 mini in case.
You are curious in case you are someone who has been having trouble deciding between the 12 mini the 12 pro the pro max whatever it might be. If you are someone who has been concerned about the battery life on the 12 mini, hopefully this video will provide you some clarity. Let's go ahead and jump right into it, as you can see. At the start of my day, I just took my phone off the charger for the very first time this morning, so, of course, it currently has a 100 charge. I definitely use my phone a good amount throughout the day, whether I'm on social media, whether I'm editing for YouTube for Instagram.
I pretty much always have my phone in hand and, of course, your battery life is obviously going to depend on how much you use your phone throughout the day and exactly what you choose to do with your phone when you're on it. Even if you are someone that find yourself using your phone 24 7, and you use a lot of data. At the same time, I still find the battery life on the iPhone 12 mini to be pretty spectacular. The first thing that I do want to say that I have noticed about the 12 mini after using it for about three months now is. I do not have to consistently charge my phone throughout the day, not even more than once.
I feel like with iPhones that I've had in the past. Furthermore, I would have to charge my phone multiple times throughout the day, just to ensure that my battery would not die on me. Furthermore, I normally will put my phone on the charger when I'm getting in bed for the night, which is usually around 9 or 10 o'clock, and I will take it off the charger when I wake up the next morning and that charge will last me all day and something I do want to know. While we are talking about charging, the iPhone is that the iPhone 12 mini charges so much quicker than my previous iPhone 8. Did it felt like my iPhone 8 would take forever to charge even to get to 50, and I feel, like the iPhone 12 mini charging time has been cut in half.
This review specifically, is more in regard to the battery life on the iPhone 12 mini, but something that I do truly love about. The 12 mini is its compact size. In conjunction with the long-lasting battery, I can easily take the 12 mini with me. When I go on a walk or on a run with my dogs, I can listen to music. I can go on a long phone call with my mom, because I tend to do that.
Often, and I've never had an issue where I get back from those long walks, and I've noticed that my battery is completely drained. I have had previous iPhones in the past when you come back from the gym, or you come back from after having a long phone call with a friend and your battery is basically dead. I have never had that issue with the 12 mini. Furthermore, I feel like. Furthermore, I have noticed the most battery drainage when I am using my camera, or maybe I'm watching videos for a longer time than normal, but other than that when you're just using it on a normal, daily basis, you're using it for phone calls text messages listening to music, the battery isn't going to die that easily and speaking of phone calls, I feel like.
Furthermore, I have had a lot of those today. Furthermore, I've spent a lot of time on the phone today, just dealing with things I needed to get taken care of and as of right now it is 3 35 and my battery is only at 52. Furthermore, I also keep all of my default settings, as is so. Furthermore, I do have the rise to wake up the phone, and I do also have the double tap enabled as well. This is just a feature that is very convenient for me and I haven't noticed that it made any difference in the battery life whatsoever and while we're talking about the settings on the iPhone to preserve battery life, I really don't mess with any of the settings, especially in terms of protecting the battery life.
The only thing that I will tend to do is when it gets later. In the day when my phone is about 20, I will go into low battery mode, but that is the most I will do when it comes to the settings. Everything else is really just set to its default and the phone works perfectly throughout the day. I don't have any issues with my battery running super low, and you will see that throughout the day, the one thing that I have noticed about the 12 mini that I will let you guys know is that when you are using the camera, maybe you're taking a video, or you're just using the camera to take a lot of pictures, it does tend to drain the battery a bit quicker compared to using other apps on your phone. I don't necessarily know why that is.
Furthermore, I don't know the tech details behind it, but that is just something that I have noticed for me. It's not really a problem, because I don't film my YouTube videos on my iPhone 12 mini and when I do need to use the camera, or I do use the video my phone's still going to last me all day, so it's not a make it or break it for me, but maybe if I was actually using my iPhone to film my videos, it might make a difference. I film my YouTube videos with the canon, sx730h and honestly, I'm kind of interested in seeing how the quality does come out. When I film a YouTube video with my iPhone 12 mini, I think it would be fascinating to see how the battery lasts, when I film a full-on YouTube video with my phone as well as the quality. I have actually gotten a few comments in the past on my iPhone 12 mini unboxing video.
Some of you did request that I do film a day in the life with the iPhone 12 mini. So that is something I can definitely do. I think it would be really cool to see how the quality does turn out when I film a whole video with the 12 mini and just to see how long the battery lasts throughout the day with filming. Overall, I think it's pretty obvious. I have zero complaints about the battery on the iPhone 12 mini this phone does its job, and it does it pretty.
Well, I'm really taking my experience using the iPhone 12 mini and comparing it to that of the iPhone 8. I never find myself constantly running low on battery or being worried about using an app for too long and fear that it's going to drain the battery. I used to have that experience all the time with the iPhone 8. It could just be for the years of use I put into the iPhone 8, but so far my experience with the iPhone 12 mini and its battery life cannot even compare to that of the eight because they're, just in completely different ball games for what you get in the 12 mini with its strong battery life, mixed with its nice compact size. I'd go as far to say that it's the perfect phone, at least for me.
Currently, the time is 3 45, and when I am filming this video, my phone is at a 50 charge for the rest of the day. I know I still have to edit my thumbnail, and I'm going to go through my social media, since I haven't really done that. So that is something that I am going to do for the rest of the evening. So I will definitely leave in some screenshots in case you're interested in how long the iPhone 12 mini battery did really last me the entire day, but I am going to say even with that extra usage and time that I am going to be spending on my phone editing that thumbnail and going through social media. It still is not going to put my phone at a point where it's in a dire need to be charged.
So if you are someone who has been hesitant and purchasing the iPhone 12 mini due to the worry of its battery life, don't let that stop you, I think, you'll be happily surprised with how good it actually is. Hopefully this video did help you out. If you are on the fence of purchasing the iPhone 12 mini and the battery life was one of your deciding factors.
