iPhone 11 & 11 Pro Unboxing / Impressions!

All right so sorry, if you wanted a traditional unboxing, video I, just figured you've, probably all seen so many at this point anyway. I'm definitely not gonna, be the first guy to upload the new iPhone unboxing Oh figured I just cut out all the fluff and just jump straight into my impressions of these two new iPhones, which Apple just launched the bizarrely named 11pro max in the new iPhone 11. Let us begin so. Obviously, I picked up the silver one after traveling to the Apple Store and actually looking at all four of the new colors for the iPhone 11 Pro I'm, very sure of my decision. A lot of people are picking up midnight, green, so I thought it would be kind of refreshing for the channel to finally see someone who didn't get the midnight green option and honestly, when I saw him in that green I. Originally thought is that Space Gray, where is it green, because in the lighting of the Apple Store I literally, could not tell him.

It was right. Next to Space, Gray I just thought there were two space great options until I got really up close and personal with the midnight green, and then I was like. Oh, I see it's like a slight shade of green, it's very, very small, and it's definitely the most popular color for the new iPhones as to be expected. Is its a new one we haven't seen in the past, but I would just like to add. If Google was naming the color, they probably would have called it barely green, or something like that, because it's such a slight shade of green and if you bought it, you're happy with it.

That's all good for you, but personally I, think silver by far looks the best. The most distinguished and pretty doing close to the on leaks renders we got all this year. The only thing we didn't get right was: the silver chrome rings around the lenses which is dope, but the first thing I noticed when I picked up the Pro max in the store and when I unboxed it myself is the weight change. This is without question. The heaviest iPhone Apple has ever made, but it's not so heavy that it's cumbersome.

I've already put it in my pocket a couple of times, and it is totally manageable, and I think everyone is gonna, be more than okay, with a slightly heavier phone so that they can have substantially better battery life, and, in my brief first hour of using this phone I've already been doing so many things on installing apps taking videos taking pictures in the battery has barely even begun to budge. So I can tell in the long term this battery is gonna, be insanely, good, and I'm. So happy. Now that when you buy the max version of an iPhone, you actually get the maxed out battery life of an iPhone. No longer do you have to choose between.

Do you want the best display or the best bad? Now you can have both in one package. The other thing I noticed very quickly when I first picked up. The pro max was the upgraded contrast ratio in the brightness now I. Think a lot of people may not believe me here, but I swear to you. I've been using my 10s max for so long that as soon as I started using the Pro max I was like whoa.

This display looks way sharper, even though it's the same number of pixels and everything it's just the colors popped a lot more than they did before, and I immediately turned up the brightness all the way, and suddenly my eyes were delighted by a much more bright, comfortable screen, that's much easier to look at outside, and that was, honestly. Something I was not expecting to notice was the display upgrades, they sounded pretty small, but now that I'm using it in person, I can say, I noticed the difference. Of course, a lot of people can talk about. These matte finishes on the back I'm personally, pretty ok with them. I like that.

After about using this for 60 minutes, there's barely any noticeable fingerprints on the back compared to my product, red iPhone 11, which still has the traditional glossy back, but yeah I got to say between the two of them. Even if this one is slightly more slippery, I would much rather have the matte finish. It's very soft touch to the back of the hand and I think it's probably going to hold up better in situations where you use your phone careless, and it's not going to collect as many fingerprints and scum on the back, because things should just slide off it, but the stainless steel still provides that grip that we're used to with the previous generation. So in that regard, I'm very, very happy with the changes. Of course, the other thing I immediately went to was the camera.

I've had some very, very brief experiences with night mode, which is magical. How good it works. There are places, I took it and just complete darkness, and it was able to look at it like it was broad daylight. It's incredible how well it works. Also.

The ultra light is really, really impressive. I love how wide angle it is, and I can just hold it next to my head, and it looks like a POV video, basically like a GoPro high-end one at that, because it's shooting 4k at 60 and honestly, it doesn't even feel like it should be.0.5 X, you know zoom out, like they say in the camera, because to me, it feels like it should be a point to comparing the telephoto to the regular lens to the ultra-wide tilt right, zooms out way more than the telephoto zooms in so either way, though, the camera has been performing great for me so far and anytime I open the front-facing camera and put it at 4k at 60, oh man, it looks Super-duper, crisp, I'm, really happy I finally get to vlog now and be able to see myself at the same time and still retain that for okay at sixty, like I had before I also was not expecting live wallpapers to be exclusive and available to these two iPhones, because neither of them have 3d touch anymore. So far, I haven't really noticed that 3d touches and on here yet because I've been so accustomed to the iOS 13 redesigns and making haptic touch more practical, but I think it's awesome that the iPhone 11 gets its own exclusive live wallpapers, which you can just activate by pressing and holding on the lock screen. It's not something you need to press hard for anymore, so they found a happy medium there and the wallpapers do look really, really cool, especially that dust, one that affects on the Pro max. I love these new exclusive wallpapers.

They feel great in the hand- and this is I- think the ultimate example of phones feeling familiar but different at the same time, because, obviously, as soon as I turn, the screen off, and I leave it on a table or I. Just look at the phone from the front and don't think about the back too much nothing's really changed. It's incredibly similar you're right. It's not a big redesign this year and for a lot of people. You need a big redesign for them to warrant an upgrade, but to me, there's so many things, they've added between the upgraded speakers which I do notice the improved water resistance, these great cameras both on the front and the back expanded battery life.

There's so many things to appreciate very similar to the iPhone 7 launch. We had three years ago well, at the same time. Retaining that familiar feel and look. It doesn't necessarily have to be a giant redesign on the front of the device for it to feel like a substantial upgrade. That's where I'm standing right now, I haven't used the iPhone 11 too much, but you know, there's there are less things to talk about.

The most impressive thing about this phone is the fact that it starts at $6.99. But of course, I'm experimenting with the ultra-right here, which this one still has liquid Retina display looks exactly how I remembered it back when I used the 10r for a couple of months, so there's less to talk about here, but still a perfect crispy. Looking phone I'm glad I went with product red this year, although I kind of wish they didn't have to write product red at the bottom I'm more of a fan of the overly minimal back of the pro max, where, in certain lighting, you can't even see that the Apple logos on the back, which personally I like phones, they don't have a lot of clutter on the back, don't have much going on. You know the camera module with the three cameras that has to be there, I get it but iPhone text that didn't need to be there and also product red on the bottom. You know they may have to do it for some reason, but my opinion would have looked better with that gone.

So aside from that, though disappointments, maybe I could talk about face ID while they said it works for more angles. Now, I can't really say: I'd notice, it, you know, face ID work from a lot of angles with my tennis max, and I was most of the time happy with it, but I was kind of hoping for more noticeable. Improvements with the pro max, and I'll do more side-by-side comparisons in the future to see if there's any type of difference, but in regard to face ID and working from better angles, I'm not really seeing it. I am noticing it faster, not sure if that has anything to do with the a13 chip or if it's just I owe s13 but unlocking stuff and activating passwords. When you set up your new phone and everything I, do notice, face ID being very, very speedy, but, aside from all that very, very happy with the two new phones can't wait to keep testing them and if you want to see my launch day, experience for the iPhone, 11 and Pro max I'll be uploading.

A vlog of my trip over on the to channel shortly so stay tuned for that, and I get to vlog. With this thing for the first time and I got to say that ultra-wide is super helpful for people doing handheld vlogging, especially with their smartphones, so any who. Thank you all for watching. If you picked up your iPhones today, let me know what you think of them by hitting me up over on Twitter or joining our discord. This is your Apple shape here.

I'll see you guys in the next one.
