iPad Pro 2021 M1 12.9 inch is AMAZING 🍎 Unboxing & First Impressions vs iPad Pro 11 inch (2018)

So this is the 2021 m1 iPad Pro 12.9 inch you all already know that I am a huge fan of the m1 chip with the Mac mini m1, and I have the iMac m1. It's a freaking m1 party over here now, because now I have the m1 iPad Pro 12.9 inch, 128 gigabytes. This thing is supposed to be a beast. My previous model is the 11-inch 2018 iPad Pro, and I really love this machine. There's nothing wrong with it. It's a little extra to get the 12.9 inch as well time to unbox this thing plastic. This is actually my first 12.9-inch iPad Pro that I've ever owned, and the box already feels gigantic. This thing does not want to come out.

I just thought it's going to come flying out. I always think it's bold. When apple puts the screen up when you first open the box, there's nothing really protecting the screen, nothing foamy or anything. It's just this piece of plastic, but I think that's a testament to how well the packaging is made on these things. Here is the iPad very nice.

It does feel kind of huge, but it also feels pretty lightweight before we unwrap this. Let's see what else is in the box: oh and there it goes, so we have some paperwork. There are two apple stickers in there very nice, the charging block that looks nice, the charging cable, which is USB to USB. I also learned from my good friend Marie condo that you can use the lids to apple boxes as really high quality organizers like separators for drawers, or I put lenses and stuff in these things, and now the moment of truth, let's unwrap the iPad Pro. I am just going to rip that off, and this is the 2021 iPad Pro space gray, of course, like I said this is my first 12.9-inch iPad Pro, and it feels absolutely massive. Here's a quick size comparison with the 12.9 inch over here and then the 11 inch. Next to it, you can see just how much smaller the 11 inch is.

This new one has some better cameras and stuff that the 11-inch iPad Pro from 2018 does not the 2021 iPad Pro feels pretty similar to my 11-inch model. However, it does feel noticeably heavier, of course, because it's much bigger, but when I'm holding the 12.9 inch in my hands, it really doesn't feel super heavy and the screen does feel just absolutely gigantic. So let's turn this thing on and set it up ah, and we're already in swipe up English United States. So I have my 2018 iPad Pro over here. I'm going to line this up next, it's going to be transferring the data from the older iPad onto the new iPad.

Keep your iPad up to date. So it's going to download iPadOS, 14.6 and install that iPad. Os 14.6 is updating, and I guess I could talk about what I think about the design of this beautiful, beautiful iPad, pro 2021. So when it comes to design, of course, it's very similar to the 11-inch 2018 iPad Pro except the cameras, are definitely a spec bump. The build quality is fantastic, there's not a lot.

I can really say about this iPad that I can't already say about the 2018 model, which is amazing, still works perfectly. The biggest upgrade on the 2021 iPad Pro is, of course, the m1 chip and the screen has the mini led super fancy latest display technology. That apple has in an iPad, but I'm also wondering is this 12.9-inch iPad going to be too big for my use load, my friend to load, so it looks like it's finally done: let's open it up, restore completed, continue, get started, there's nothing like a fresh new installation of iPadOS. So now I'm just going to swipe through for fun it's glossy as hell m1 on an iPad. I am so excited about this.

Let's see how bright this screen gets. Oh that's, bright! Apple, music, fast, let's open up something random Amazon! First impressions just going through this, let's press something random! Yes, I was looking at a MacBook Pro m1, because apparently I need more m1 machines in my life. Scrolling seems superfast on this thing, of course, damn app store is nice and zippy as well instant. This is why the m1 is so exciting to me, because it's its like finally, computers and devices feel as fast as our brain wants them to be. If that makes sense- and I can say the screen is absolutely amazing- you can barely even see the individual pixels anymore.

Even if I put my head like right up to it, I can see the pixels a little, but overall, this screen is incredibly beautiful. The colors on it just look amazing, but just looking at normal websites and stuff. It doesn't really look honestly that different from my 2018 iPad Pro, I think, where that display technology is going to kick in even more is going to be watching HDR content. So now I'm checking out something in HDR and okay yeah. This screen is definitely different.

The white is so bright in HDR I mean I actually squinted a little at how bright the light is, and the black looks nice and deep and beautiful yeah. This display is definitely a notch. Above the 2018 iPad bro, the 12.9 inch version is definitely brighter. It's definitely sharper colors, look a little more vivid and just more beautiful, overall 12.9 inch. iPad pro is definitely better, but oh, my gosh up close this screen just looks incredibly beautiful.

It is so sharp and the viewing angles on it are pretty amazing as well. This mini LED display is not messing around. This is awesome, and just opening random apps on here feels about the same too as is there a huge difference in speed between these two honestly? Not really just scrolling around and stuff just feels a little nicer on the 12.9 inch, because it does have that bigger screen. This 12.9-inch screen is so big that I'm actually like moving my head physically around like this, where the other iPads you know, I can keep my head in the same position and just kind of look at it like this. Just move my eyes around, so I'm just doing a little selfie test here and the quality looks like an iPad camera.

It doesn't really look crazy better than the iPad Pro from 2018. So let's do a quick speaker test of the 12.9-inch iPad Pro with m1 chip. That's perfect. That's perfect! The speakers sound perfect on this iPad, there's a little of bass even coming through and by the way. The song that I was playing is a cover that I did of the weekend in your eyes and time for a shameless plug.

Everything just feels instant on it, and I'm really excited to test this out more with my 11-inch 2018 iPad Pro. If you have any questions about the iPad Pro or if you bought the new iPad Pro.
