iPad Air Camera Test Review & Demo

This video is brought to you by bear motion, find great accessories at bear. Motion case, calm, hey guys. What's up, it's me, Robert here contributor of gadget, guru, HD comm, and today we will be taking a look at the iPad Air and the two cameras that it packs now for the people that care I'm going to go ahead and quickly a rundown these specs of the FaceTime HD camera. Now this is the camera that is front-facing, and it takes 1.2 megapixel photos record 720p, HD video as FaceTime video calling over Wi-Fi or cellular. It has face detection, backside, illumination, tactic control, exposure for video or still images and photo and video geotagging. Now the back camera is the iSight camera, and I'm also going to quickly run down the specs.

Now it takes five megapixel photos has autofocus, face detection, backside, illumination, five element lenses: a hybrid IR filter, an aperture of 2.4, tap to focus, video or still images tap to control exposure for video or still images photo and video geotagging HDR photos and going over to the video recording. It has 1080p HD video, recording video stabilization phase detection tap to focus while recording backside, illumination and three times video zoom. Now, personally, I, don't think you should be taking pictures with an iPad. It should be a backup camera if you need it in like the worst case scenario, but people look definitely very funny taking pictures on their iPads at soccer games. You see soccer moms running around and trying to record their kids and overall, just taking videos or pictures on an iPad should be a no-no.

Now, if you do decide to take some pictures or videos, the camera is very gorgeous, and it's very visible on the Retina display. Now it's good for a tablet camera. There are other tablets out there that have cameras but are not as good as the iPad Air I would say that the iPad Air has the best tablet camera out there, but, like I said you shouldn't be taking pictures with this device. Now on the screen, you guys can see some pictures that have been taking with the new iPad Air, and they're. Definitely not bad.

When you have perfect lighting conditions- and you have a set scene, it works great. The Apple iPad is definitely a decent camera for tablet, and the FaceTime HD camera also allows for brightening up images when you're facetiming with friends and that works very well compared to the older iPads. Now the one thing that the iPad is horrible at is taking low-light pictures, especially viewing them on the Retina display. You can see all the noise in green inside the pictures and I would leave this iPad to ideal conditions where there's good lighting and the subject is very prominent. So wrapping up this video, the camera- is definitely decent and probably the best for a tablet.

But you shouldn't be taking pictures with a tablet. I think you should just go ahead and pull out your iPhone or carry around a compact camera. They will definitely do the job a lot more and capture that special moment, but just in case the iPad is there. It does take decent photos like I said: ideal conditions are the best and overall that's about it. Thank you all for watching and be sure to check out more of our iPad Air coverage.
