👨🏼‍🎓 iPad (8th gen) review - A Student's Perspective [2021]

What is going on guys, my name is nicks, and this is the iPad 8th generation from a student's perspective. So I use an iPad for everything. I prefer an iPad over a mac because of so many reasons, I've said this so many times now, but I prefer an iPad over a MacBook in so many ways, especially if you're a student, an iPad. I've made a video about this iPad versus max. If you guys want to hear my opinion on that in an in-depth way, links are in the description for my iPad versus MacBook for students video, but I just think that the iPad is just a more fun way on accomplishing your work for student. An iPad can be a tablet when you need it and a laptop when you need it and then a mac, it's just a more serious device.

It does everything that an iPad can do, of course, but in a more serious way it will always be a laptop, and it will never be a tablet of course, because that's what the MacBook there is for its just a more professional. It's just a more formal way on doing work. A great thing about apple in 2021 is that they have an iPad for every single budget and the iPad that I end up recommending to most people is the budget iPad, the iPad 8th generation, especially for students. It's got the neural engine combined with the a12 bionic chip, so you're going to get some great speeds on the iPad, so it will handle everything or almost everything in your student life. It doesn't matter if you're browsing for your research paper.

If you're writing your document, your huge essay it will handle all of that. Just fine with the a12 bionic speed wise. It's its great. My favorite thing by far about this iPad is the price because, let's not forget like we can't be too judging about the specs, because this iPad does not have you know an edge to its display. This iPad is not compatible with the second generation Apple Pencil.

It's not the fastest, even though for the price, it's great. Let's not forget that it's three hundred dollars and for three hundred dollars. It is the best product from apple that you can get in 2021 in terms of value. So it's the perfect iPad, if you're in a budget, and even if you're, not in a budget, it's still a great iPad and if you're still in a budget- and you don't want to get the most expensive Apple Pencil- and you still want to note- take because once again you're a student, I totally recommend the Logitech crayon. This is not sponsored its something that I always recommend to students.

It might not be as fancy as apple's Apple Pencil, but it still does the job extremely well, and I totally recommend it. Links are in the description, so the iPad has a display of 10.2 inches. It's such a good size for everything that you do as a student, especially because it's extremely portable one of the things that students always want is just a thing that they can just shove in their purse shove in their backpacks, just bring it out, bring it in it's a very portable iPad. It's a very small iPad, yet not too small. I love.

I love that it's actually 10.2 inches. Taking notes is everything that you ever wanted on an iPad. That means that you don't need to bring your huge student, binders and big blocks of notes. Everywhere you go everything just fits in one very slim device. I love that.

I love how digitalized you can make your life with an iPad, especially with an iPad. That's only 300, I love it. Students are traveling all the time, so by simply a simple device that you can just take notes everywhere, and then you can have all your notes in one device once again that you can travel everywhere with it. That's um, that's some perfect value. Let's talk about the cameras really briefly.

The selfie camera has a 1.2 megapixel camera main camera has 8. Megapixels cameras are decent in good lighting, but with poor lighting it can get a little choppy. Cameras on an iPad, though, is one of the most useful features that an iPad can ever have, and it's one of the main features that I love an iPad for students over a mac with an iPad. You can scan all of your documents. You can scan all of your notes that type of experience, even though that the camera of the budget iPad might not be the best compared to the iPad Pro or the iPad Air.

It's still amazing and the experience that you'll get is incredible. One thing that you should not expect from this iPad is good sound quality. You will only get one speaker which is meh. It sounds decent, but it does not sound loud at all. This iPad does have a headphone jack, so you can connect headphones, or you can connect wireless earphones, of course, and if you're, actually looking for a pair of earphones or headphones, be sure to check out today's sponsor, which is the ANC 860 from UMI they've, actually got hybrid, active noise cancellation, they have great transparency mode and have a battery of 41 hours, which is incredible.

They have multi-function touch controls, you can play pause, skip a song, you charge them and store them in this very slick case. If you guys want to pick one up, I totally recommend, because when you're a student, and you're at the cafeteria, and you've got all of those annoying kids that just won't shut up, you simply put on these earphones. You've got noise cancellation, and you do not have to hear them again. If you guys are interested in picking one up hit the link down in the description, they honestly sound. Amazing, don't forget that the budget iPad does not have a laminated display.

What that means is that there's actually a gap between the glass and the display that there's actually an air gap. If you have no idea what I'm talking about, I recommend going to the Apple Store, checking an iPad out and checking an iPad Pro, and you'll see that the iPad Pro has a laminated display that there's now a gap and then on the iPad there's a gap. Is it a big deal? Yes, it's a big deal for somebody, that's coming from a more expensive iPad, pro or iPad Air. If this is your first iPad, you're going to be fine. If this is not your first iPad, you're going to get used to it, because it's not, it's a big deal, but it's not that us as humans.

We get used to everything and, of course, we're going to get used to a tiny gap in the display. Let's get over it, this iPad doesn't have face ID, which is better in 2021 in an era that we're wearing face masks all day long, it's got touch ID, which is just a way much better solution than face ID app store. Let's talk about the app store. The app store on the iPad is basically one of the key features for students. If we're talking about like android tablets for students, they might be decent, but the app selection inside there is just not good for students in the app store you've got so many apps to download, and so many awesome and very well-designed apps that simply work extremely well for students.

We're talking, notability, we're talking, Quizlet, there's so many good apps for students notability, it's just a must-have app on the iPad. In my opinion, if you're a student, in my opinion, it is the best note-taking app out there period if you hook it up with an Apple Pencil or a Logitech, crayon you're, going to get one of the best experiences out there on the iPad. Apart from the Apple Pencil, you can actually connect a magic keyboard, which is also phenomenal to connect a keyboard on an iPad. It's awesome because previously, like you, can never hook up an iPad with a keyboard, and now you know in 2021. You've got a great experience like before on the iPad Pro.

If you wanted a keyboard, if you wanted the pencil, you had to go to the most expensive iPad Pro, but now you can simply hook up a lot to tech, crayon, Apple's keyboard, or you can just simply connect. You know Logitech keyboard as well to your iPad, and you're, going to get one of the best valuable experiences out there ever for students. So, as a student do I recommend the eighth generation iPad and hands down? Yes, is it the iPad that I recommend to everybody as a student, and no, it all depends on your budget if you cannot buy the iPad Air, which has a nicer screen, get the um get the budget iPad if you've got all the money to spare, get the most expensive iPad Pro, because that's going to be the best experience, but don't forget that the most essential and key features for students on iPad. If we're just talking iPad you'll get it on the budget iPad, you don't need the most expensive iPad to have the best and the most essential features. So that's my opinion.

Thank you guys so much for watching subscribe. If you're, new, and I'll see you in the next one I've peace trying to find it all that I go through.
