Ipad 8 vs Amazon Fire HD10 speed test what double the price gets you By Fred's Aquariums and electronics

Hey, I want to say this will be a very quick comparison, but mostly a speed test here between the 2019 Amazon, fire, HD 10 and the new 2020 iPad 8. Uh. So these are the newest versions of each respective tablet here. So let's first go over their geek bench five scores very quick, then we'll very quickly go over each of their specs. So you see you have 11 11 on single core 2424 on the multi-core on the iPad, whereas on the Amazon. Here you want to get a 325 and a 501.

So for single core. The iPad is about three times as let's say it would be three times better uh score and then on the multi-core. It's almost five times better there. So for you, guys are going off and just keep bench. Five scores iPad is, of course, going to be the better uh, the better device here, uh you're, going off those scores.

Do some quick specs here both of these have 32 gigabytes of storage. This one is expandable, though I believe, goes up to 512 on the 2019 version here uh. This has three gigabytes of ram. This only has two that one gigabyte ram will make a difference when you are reopening apps. If you have multiple apps open uh, let's see so this, you still get the physical button down here the home button, which I absolutely like uh.

Let me know, do you guys prefer having the home button or do you like having almost no bezel on it? I actually kind of prefer having the home button compared to the pros and then the new air, where it has no home button at all, but almost no bezel uh down here. You always have this, or almost always have these buttons uh they're, built into the screen uh, which is basically your home button right there on the Amazon there uh, let's see real fast. This is thicker. You guys can't really see that, but this is definitely a thicker device for the Amazon pricing. Wise though this is where you get a big difference too, this is on normal price in the US 150 bucks for the Amazon.

This is 330. When these things go on sale, you can get this for around a hundred thinking. Sometimes it goes for less than that, like around the holiday. I think it was a little less than that. Even this will go down to about 300 bucks.

So again, this is about double the price of the Amazon here, yeah. Okay, that's good enough for spikes. There I'm going to go ahead, we'll go ahead and delete our histories here. I will show this off as well. So you do all time, of course, which is what we'll do, and actually we should get rid of what we're on as well here and, of course, you can get rid of the history here as well, so that just goes book, it's gone I'll, do all the time and nope it's gone all right.

Well, we will get rid of all the open stuff here. I just did a video bringing this to the a7, get rid of everything there all right, so before we do begin. The speed test, though well as we're doing it here, we're going to use safari we're going to use silk uh so far is of course, apples. Silk is Amazon's own web browser. It's what I use all the time on both these devices here, uh, so silk, and now both these are on my home internet and they both have about the same brightness right now.

This is somewhere around 80 percent. Go to bestbuy. com, make sure I can actually spell all right. So one two three uh Best Buy's website is very wonky. I always say so: Apple is done there uh it just it trips up a lot of tablets.

It seems like see. This is there's a little swirly who going. I said, it's always a wonky website. If you try to click on one thing, and it'll click on something else and it just to me, it's always annoying all right. We're going to do a quick search here.

Uh I did not mention screen size. This is 10.2. This is 10.1 uh, the stream. The ratio is way different, though Adam uh. So even though the iPad's only let's see here, make sure you can type only about 1.1, inches bigger, it really does seem bigger um and this definitely seems taller, but this just seems way wider. I think two bezels mess with your release of my perception of how big devices are, I'm going to try to be as unbiased as I can during this video uh, but I will say which one wins and the iPad did win there yeah, especially if we're waiting for this really who to be done.

Okay- and this is kind of like a smaller version of the 2019 iPad Air yeah, that's my thing, but that way that was 10.5 inches with the same specs, the same uh. Now that I wanted to hit quicker by I'm, not a second there, too um yeah, I mean if that was 10.5 inches compared to the 10.2, but it had the 810 processor in it like this. Has it had three gigabytes of ram like this has uh? They had 64 gigabytes of storage, though, if I'm not mistaken uh, but otherwise. This is kind of like a 2019 smart version of the 2019 air. That's what I mean by about being wonky when you hit something you know this is the webpage is loaded and a lot of tablets.

It seems like yeah you'll hit something, and it just takes a few seconds to comprehend what you're actually trying to do. Uh yeah all right, let's open up a new page here, we'll go to Pok?mon. com one two. Three, this iPad is the winner. There go to the Pok?dex brother soy trying to refresh so you guys see on the iPad.

Those give you a little motion down here. I always like to see this on devices now that gives you a motion. This guy does not. I think most android uh devices do not give you that little motion for some reason go back up here, hit vivid voltage, and you see the motions there. Neither of them have any issues with those motions.

I'm going to go up a little here. Let's actually do one of those there we go we'll keep it on that and get out of that. Let's go to google play store, and we'll go to the apple, app store here. So one two three so Apple is going to win I'll go to Pok?mon. I don't know I'm typing.

com, for if I was uh Pok?mon, you guys can tell do you still like Pok?mon all right. Their app stores are way different, of course, we're going to scroll down a bit, and we'll go ahead and get out of that all right. Next, we'll go to. Let's go into temple run, so one two three don't know why it's on that all right, guys, let's retry, that I've not played temple run on this device and well since the last time I did review between something this and something else. Let's go back in the temple run here, hello world.

All right, so you can see apple is a little faster into the actual game here. Okay, all that, let's go into among us all right so again, Apple is a bit quicker there. One thing I really do like about Apple software and some Samsung software is if you're in this orientation go into a game that changes it to you exit that game. I love how it goes back to the orientation you headed in where this guy's to get stuck in the orientation that the game puts you in. Hopefully that made some sense right next, we'll go into YouTube and YouTube, like I always say when I have an Amazon device that we're comparing to something else or just a review on is make sure you guys download the Google Play Store, makes the device like an actual android normal android device here uh it takes like five minutes to do, makes the device so much better.

All right now we're going to go ahead and compare speakers. Let me find the speaker, the volume button here, okay and make sure we find this fine button here. That's going the wrong way, two different ads this time, but while that one's doing its thing uh, so this has two speakers. That's right there, both there's actually two speakers, but the apple puts it on one side, and I'll show you guys Amazon actually has on the top. Okay, we're actually going to turn around so be on this side or where my hand is 1080.

, go ahead and restart the video from both of the same spot. Here, oh so it definitely sounds good on the iPad. All right, then. This guy has dual speakers as well, like I said, but it does a different. Where is one on either side, and I'm going to call that the top here and 1080.

Me so both sound decent? I think that apple actually sounds a bit better, but you guys, let me know what you guys think. I think both these sound very good, though uh, of course, one more thing to note. That is something kind of big to note is when watching videos, at least on YouTube. You know smaller bars on Amazon than you do on the on apple, as, of course, due to their screen ratios. These things are huge, though I mean that's more than my finger, where this is less than my finger.

So this is something to note. There uh make sure to turn down this volume, okay, and then we're going to keep them open to do, and one more thing I want to mention is both: these: do have a blue light filter. So if that's something that is important to you, uh personally is very important to me. Every night I have all my devices have the blue light filters on both of them work very similar to where you can either sell them for a certain time or to be on and then turn off, or you can sell them to where they're, both sunrise or sunset. So that's something to note uh, but they're both basically the same though, and you can also change how uh the opacity of them as well all right.

So this is something quick to mention that I always forget to mention, so we'll go back and go into each uh, each of the apps that we had open here now remember this has two gigabytes of ram. This has three you see this keeps it open. This had to reload go back into Best Buy's website like the best buys website. So this is where this device is going to start uh, I guess we'll say falling apart compared to the apple attack even compared to the 2020 Amazon fire HD 8 plus, just because of that ram just doesn't have that ram, so it has to reload things, go to the app stores here, so this actually did keep it open. For the most part, I can't, I thought we went down a bit, but maybe not uh.

The apple definitely kept it open, though so we're on the Paul screen. That has no issue. This is going to reload. Well, we'll call that a half reload, because they're still on, basically where you were actually uh going back into among us. So that's going to reload on the Amazon all right.

Well, let me change that. Bro go back to YouTube here, so no reload, uh, full reload and just for good measures, we'll go back into your zip browser, so you guys can see, there's a big difference when it comes to uh keeping apps open. This had no issue keeping every single app open, even multiple web pages, open uh, the Amazon, because it only has two gigabytes of ram- is- has almost reopened, or at least halfway. If we open every app reload every app here, uh, let me know which one you guys like I mean there are some good differences in while in the price and then some differences in the power uh yeah. So let me know what you guys think I do like both of these devices again.

Let me know too, do you guys, like him, the apple, the iPads with the bigger bezels and the home button, or do you like it where it's almost off-screen and no home button? I think I actually prefer bezels and the home button when comparing apple to apple uh, to me too, having big, bezels kind of makes the screen actually seem bigger than it is for some reason to me. It kind of deceives my eyes uh same thing, even on the Amazon too, I feel like the screen is bigger than 10.1 inches. So I feel like this is bigger than 10.2 inches uh yeah.
