Hey guys sock here from saw key tech, and in today's video we have some very important news for Samsung Galaxy owners in relation to Samsung Galaxy updates for your phone. So let's dive in and get all the juicy detail all right. It takes you to the store, and you simply apply the wallpaper after you download it. So that's that now the big news that we have in relation to Samsung Galaxy smartphone updates, is that Samsung has officially announced. Samsung has officially announced that the galaxy devices will now receive regular security updates for a minimum of four years after the initial phone purchase. So, as you can see, the title says: Samsung takes galaxy security to the next level by extending updates and, of course, this information comes straight from Samsung newsroom. So it's a hundred percent official.

This is not a rumor. This is not a leak. That is fantastic. That means we are going to be getting four years of security updates for our Samsung Galaxy smartphones. Now they do make something very clear here.

It says this is going to apply to all the galaxy products launched since 2019, including the z series, the s series, the note series, the series and, of course, the m series, as well as the x cover and the tab series tab means the tablets like s7, s6 and so on and so forth, and again it's saying they will now receive at least four years of security updates. Now let me talk about the updates real quick. So if I go to my settings over here and if I go all the way down, if I tap on my software update now when I go to my last update here at the bottom at the bottom, you're going to see it says security patch level February, the first. So this is an update we get every month we get a security patch every month, January February, march April may and so on and so forth till December, and this makes sure that our phone is in fact secured. So that's exactly what they're talking about they're, not talking about the regular software updates they're talking about the actual security patch updates? Okay! So let's go back over here and look at the other important things now.

One thing I want you guys to understand is some Samsung phones get these updates monthly and some of them get them quarterly. So if you're not seeing these updates on your phone every month, then you're getting them quarterly. But if you are seeing them every month, then you're in the monthly update plan- and you can see it says it over here- security updates delivered on a monthly or quarterly basis. Uh. One important thing is: if I scroll down over here, okay, it's gonna actually tell you that they're securing over 130 models, and if you go down here, it actually gives you a full list of all the eligible galaxy devices.

So again we have all the galaxy full devices because they were all released after 2019, and then we have the galaxy s series, starting from the s10, all the way to s21 ultra. All these phones are going to be eligible for four years of security updates, starting from the day they were actually released, and then we have the Galaxy Note series, starting from note, 10 galaxies, a series starting from a10 all the way to a71, and then, of course we have the galaxy m series. The x cover series which a lot of people don't have. These are actually specialized phones used on the field, so consumers normally don't have access to these phones. But then we also have the Galaxy Tab series so, starting from all the way from tab active pro all the way to s7 plus these tablets are also eligible for these security updates, so your phone can uh remain secure for a long time.

All right, so that's a big update. You guys need to be aware of. You know it makes you feel better about your purchase and also, if you're in the market, to purchase a Samsung phone. Now you know that you are going to be up-to-date as far as security is concerned, with your phone for four years, if you were to buy a phone today or even if you have purchased the phone in 2020 in the beginning of 2020, such as the s10 series or s20 series or whatever alright.
