Huawei Nova 8i First Impressions | GOOD OR NOT? By Geekception

So Huawei passed me the nova 8i early and in this video I'll be giving you my quick first impressions and taking requests for what you would like to see in the review video and oh it comes in this super-secret box too. Here's a quick unboxing and first impressions let's begin and welcome back my name is Emmanuel, this is the Geekception and thank you so much for checking out my video. In the pinned comments down below is the link to all the recent videos that I have released so please do check them out when you have some time and a quick disclaimer before I start the video, Huawei nor the press that sent me this phone does not get to see this video before you do that being said though this box as you can see here is secret and it's not final retail packaging so some of the accessories that i'll be showing you here is actually not representative of what you'll be getting in the final retail box. Now enough of all that let's get started. Of course as mentioned this is a secret box opening it and i see the phone here in its multi-camera glory. Don't go anywhere because i'll be coming back to the phone.

I see a box that contains a tpu plastic case for basic protection. There's also a sim removal tool included here as well there's the usual USB type b to USB type c cable. Next is the charger which is different from the final packaging. Now according to the press rep this is a 40 watt charger that is here while the retail version ships with a 66 watts charger and that's pretty much all i got in my press box right here As promised, let's take a tour of the Nova 8i and on the front of the phone is a 6.67 inch 1080p display, the front camera here is a 16-megapixel shooter. On the right side are the volume buttons and the power button that actually doubles as a fingerprint scanner there's absolutely nothing on the left side of the phone.

On the bottom of the nova 8i is the USB type-c port, speaker, and a sim slot that allows you to use a dual sim. On the back of the nova 8i I find the cameras here Now we have a main 64-megapixel camera here with three other cameras for zoom, ultra-wide and taking really close macros. There's also a flash here. I have to say though the nova 8i feels quite light and does not feel cheap at all. Now here's an overview of the specifications there's a snapdragon 662 here paired with 8 gigabytes of ram, 128 gigabytes of storage, android 10, and finally no Google play.

Now I haven't checked out Huawei devices in a while so this is the first Huawei device I've reviewed without the Google play store. So it'll be interesting to bring you my thoughts in my full review. On turning on the phone and I have to say it did take a while for the phone to boot up I went through what i have to admit is quite a long setup process and finally i am in. The interface Huawei use on their android phones is called EMUI and the version here on the Nova 8i is EMUI 11. I'll be testing every aspect of the interface and will be sure to let you know my thoughts in the full review. it will also be nice to check out the cameras on the Nova 8i though I'm currently stuck at home on the lockdown, I'll try my best to take photos with the normal camera, the wide-angle camera, the telephoto which I even saw went up to six times zoom, so yes it would be fun to test all of that. Now for my first impressions of the Huawei Nova 8i right here, I would say definitely when I held the phone in the hand, it felt quite premium and the interface here I'm not used to it so it will take some learning from my end you know especially with having no Google Play on the device so I'll be bringing you all of this and more in my full review.
