What's up guys, high here from high tech reviews. Today I bring you the brand new Huawei Mate 40, pro top features and gaming performance. So straight to the point: build quality is impressive: glass back glass front. Color is called mystic silver. You have a large 6.76 inch OLED display it's a 90 hertz refresh and resolution full HD plus now the screen beautifully curves around the sides of the phone. This is no doubt an absolutely beautiful display to work and play on so what's new in the mate 40 pro well, this is powered by a brand-new chipset, the Karin 9000.
It's a five nanometer chip, just like the iPhone 12, and it's an OCTA core clocked at 3.13 gigahertz with 5g support, and in this video we are going to see how the new chip performs in terms of gaming. Now other new features you have dual Huawei supercharging, so 66 watt, wired, supercharging and 50 watts wireless supercharging. We also have new AI gesture controls, giving you some basic controls using hand, gestures. Other features worth mentioning has to be, of course, the cameras. You have four sensors on the back: you've got a 50 megapixel, ultravision camera 20, megapixel, ultra-wide cine camera, a 12, megapixel telephoto and a 3d depth sensor.
You have the ability to shoot cinematic 4k at 60 frames per second videos with HDR, with amazing focus, tracking and optical image. Stabilization you've got two sensors on the front: a 13, megapixel selfie camera with a 3d depth sensor. Now the front camera gives you 4k, video ultraviolet view, dual recordings and lots more, and here are a few 50 megapixel sample shots to tease the camera's capabilities, and if this video gets 300 likes, I will certainly throw in a full camera test on the mate 40 pro. So go ahead. Smash that like button right now, if that's what you want to see, so how powerful is the new chipset? Normally I would run an tutu or geek bench, but unfortunately I could not get geek bench or an tutu to install on this smartphone.
Now I am on the latest firmware, and it seems like the main benchmarking apps are blocked. So when you try to install an APK, you get an error message and I also tried many versions and to no avail. An tutu and geek bench seem to be blocked. However, I did find these results online 693k. I have seen a few other tests with similar results, but I can't help asking myself: if you have the most powerful chipset, why would you want to block benchmark apps in the first place? Nevertheless, based on 693k the mate 40, pro ranks number one on the top performing smartphone chart of 2020, so it looks like the Huawei Mate.40 pro certainly has the power and performance on its side. The new five nanometer chips looks to outperform the iPhone 12 a14 bionic, which is quite surprising.
Actually now you can view this chart and many others online at chixtech. com and read them at your leisure and just for fun. I decided to do a simultaneous 3d mark test.3Dmark can test the performance of the 3d, graphics, rendering and CPU workload, giving you an overall performance score. So we have the mate 40 pro along with three other smartphones, so Galaxy Note, 20, ultra Xiaomi, mi, 20 pro and the iPhone 11 Pro max. Now we are running the slingshot extreme test and if we fast-forward a little the note 20 ultra and the mi 10 t pro finished at the same time now this is the note 20 ultra with the Enos 990 and the mi 10t pro has, of course, the snapdragon 865 a minute later.
The iPhone 11 Pro max finished the test, and finally the mate 40 pro finished shortly after we have very interesting results. So the note 20 ultra with the Enos, scored the best mate 40 pro came. Second me 10t pro third and the iPhone 11 Pro max took the fourth position. I also did the same tests on the p40 pro to see what happens and as you can see, there is quite a big performance between the p40 pro and the new mate 40 pro, so you can expect a noticeable boost in the graphics performance in the new mate 40 pro and without any further ado. Let's just get hands on with some gaming.
So kill foreign, so I've had to play around with this phone. For a few days, my first impressions you're, getting a beautiful large OLED, display powerful hardware, great gaming performance with games playing at their highest graphical settings. You have a great build quality, impressive camera setup, and even the speakers blew my mind. You have the loudest and clearest stereo speakers. I have ever heard on a smartphone, the Karin 9000 outperforms, the iPhone 12 a14 bionic, at least on benchmarks.
It does the mate 40 pro has the potential of being the best smartphone of 2020. It's, of course, let down by the lack of google services and no play store, petal search, app gallery and third-party app stores work quite well, but you still get compatibility issues with some apps and games. For example, Mortal Kombat downloaded from petal search refused to load and Pok?mon Go also had issues signing in to the game. Now I personally can't wait for Huawei to drop the harmony OS. I think the new OS has the potential of changing the game.
If it's that good, otherwise, we need better app support in the app gallery. There is no doubt that the mate 40 pro has the best hardware on a smartphone in 2020. So far, it also has the best camera setup as rated on Denmark and if you're someone who actually doesn't use Google apps or doesn't care for them too much, then this smartphone will tick every other box. The battery life is great easily one day of heavy usage with around seven to eight hours of on-screen time. Huawei's dual supercharging is insane 66 watt fast charging with the fast charger included in the box, so zero to 100.
Well within one hour now, let me know what you guys think of the mate 40 pro. Do you need google services or could you manage without my personal experience was very good, and I was able to do at least 90 percent of all my normal activities without Google services, so Huawei is certainly going in the right direction? By saying that, I absolutely look forward to what harmony OS brings to the table and with that being said, thank you so much for watching, and I hope you all have a brilliant day. I'll see you guys in the next one you.
