HTC U11+ versus Samsung Galaxy S9+ camera comparison

Hey, what's going on guys I'm the grade, the high-tech traveler, and today I'm doing another smartphone camera shootout, with the Samsung Galaxy S 9, plus against the HTC? U 11, plus, which came out late last year now, as I've done in all my other smartphone camera comparisons, I'm going to be shooting everything in this video with these two devices so make sure you keep an eye on the bottom left-hand corner to see which device is being used. I'll also have full resolution images in the description below. If you want to check those out for yourself as well with that out of the way, let's take a look at the specs of these two phones. The Samsung definitely has the advantage when it comes to specs. It has two sensors on the back with 26 millimeters and 52 millimeter lenses. The manual sensor, though, has an adjustable aperture, which ranges between F 1.5 and F 2.4 and there's also a dual LED flash. The 8 megapixel camera up front is paired with an F 1.7 25 millimeter autofocus lens, and it can also record video at 1440p at 30 frames per second, while the main camera on the back can record full 4k video at 60 frames per second and also 960 frames per second, if you bump that down all the way to 720p. As for the HTC, u 11, plus on the back, you get a 12 megapixel sensor with phase detect, autofocus optical image, stabilization and an F 1.7 lens and a dual LED flash and then up front. You also get an 8 megapixel sensor, just like the Samsung Galaxy s, 9, plus that's paired with an F 2.0 lens. The main camera on the back can only record 4k video at 30 frames per second, but thanks to six different microphones on the front back and sides of the phone it can capture 3d audio as well and for the front-facing camera it can record 1080p video at 30 frames per second now.

Both of these phones also use an auto HDR feature which Google introduced to us a couple of years back with the pixel. But let's see which of them actually implements it better in day to day use girls talking about plain funny, I, don't think, so you know girls talking about what are you playing bunnies I, don't think so, as I was expecting, and the differences between these two devices and daytime shots are extremely close. Both devices capture images that are extremely clear, with great color balance and also dynamic range, but there is a clear distinction and white balance between these two devices. If you take a close look at the images, you'll notice that those that are captured with the galaxy s, 9 Plus have a bluer tone to them, while those captured with HTC smartphone are a little warmer. Having taken these images myself, I can definitely say that HTC's images are a little more representative of what I was able to see with my naked eye.

That being said, Samsung's phone does have a clear advantage over the HTC: u 11, plus when it comes to low-light photography, especially when there's extreme low-light situations. HTC smartphone does do a little better when there's a little more light, capturing more dynamic range than Samsung's phone, but the advantage definitely goes to Samsung here. Samsung also has the advantage when it comes to 4k video recording with the main camera. The 60 frames per second, that it can capture, is a lot smoother than when you get out of HTC. U 11 plus is 30 frames per second and Samsung's optical image.

Stabilization is also better as well, where the HTC, u 11, plus shines, is with audio recording with the videos, thanks to its six different microphones that are located on the front back and sides of the phone, and, if you want to take selfies I would say that the HTC- u 11, plus, is the clear winner as well. It has the same resolution camera as the Samsung Galaxy, S, 9 plus, and even though it does not have an autofocus lens on the front, it simply captures a better selfie. Even though I'm a huge fan of the HTC u11 plus I'd have to say that the Samsung Galaxy S 9 plus, is probably the better device for taking pictures in everyday situations. If you disagree with me, let me know what you think in the comments below and feel free to share any other thoughts that you might have. Thank you guys so much for watching.

If you enjoyed this video I hope you give it a thumbs up and don't forget to subscribe, get you.
