HTC U11 Unboxing & Detailed First Impressions By Forbes Tech Reviews

Hi everyone- this is chosen from four SEC reviews. Do another video today's video, yes I'm, going to unbox and give you all my first impressions on the HTC you ultra, but before I. Do that check this out? Okay, everyone's own! Yes, in today's video I'm unboxing, my HTC you alter I was able to go ahead and pick it up from FedEx today, and so I'm going to do the unboxing give you all my first impressions on it. First thing is nice presentation from HTC like the box, a lot if you flip it over, you can actually see if my mate now in focus, you can actually read some specs on there. If you want to pause the video you can actually do that, but one thing I do see on access X, X n, so we definitely check that out later on and see exactly when that's about, but let's see what we get in the box. So hopefully this doesn't roll me.

Maybe a little baby won't all right. So, let's take the plastic off nice priming. The presentation is great. Oh man, alright! So nice presentation is the phone itself we'll come back to that. Oh nice, very nice, looking definitely smaller than heck altar.

So the first thing is the Trojan break and does come with a quick charge 3.0. So then you also have your headphones nice headphones. These are supposed to be really, really good. With the HTC you lean, let's see what else you get in the box, you get some extra earbuds and here's your USB type-c cable, nice black wire. Let's see what else nothing down there! They open this here, all right, so sod that okay, so to give you a case, nice case clean I, guess you can call the case.

You know they don't have to send that in everything didn't want to. If you have your sling, your sim card ejection tool with a nice picture wireless when I put it in there, look at that man give you a fiber cloth. My name is a bunch of stuff in here instructions. If you want to read that you can but like I said most men, don't read instructions all right, so you also get um. You know doesn't come with headphone jacks, which I will get in a little later, but here's your toggle switch.

You can! Actually you know if you have regular headphones, you want to use it. You can definitely do so, and you have more instructions. So let me put that all on the side and you what everybody wants to see. Okay, so here's a CTU Kevin, let's go ahead and remove this stuff. Nice ha it's like revealing.

Oh nice, alright! So, so yeah I mean you can tell night phone I got the amazing silver, as you can tell that. Yes, it will get. Fingerprints, definitely will get fingerprints off, let's see if it has any power on it. Alright, so why does it start up? You can definitely tell ACC did perfect with the build quality. Look.

I mean it's just a beautiful looking phone, yes, will attract fingerprints, yes, but you can see. The single camera in the back is very. The back is very reflective, so it's starting up HTC powered by Android I, so nice phone while I start up. Let me just go over the phone. There's a SIM card on a slot.

You have a microphone there on the right hand, side you have your volume rockers up and down OAN. You have a nice Ridge power button there, nice and ridge at the bottom. Furthermore, you have your USB type-c. Furthermore, you have your speaker at the bottom. Furthermore, you also have a microphone here and a microphone there.

Then, in the back, you have another microphone and then, on the left hand, side there's pretty much, nothing. Nothing! Then, on the back, you have your camera in the flash, and now it's talking to me, so it says: welcome, let's go so: let's go alright! So what I'm going to do now is pause. The video put all my information come back and let you all know exactly you know how it fills out the phone so give me a minute. Okay, everyone, so I was able to go ahead and put all my information into the phone I've been using it for a little, definitely liking it. It's definitely I mean look at.

It was great looking to build quality. Yes, it will attract fingerprints, there's no helping it, but definitely I mean it's just a great looking phone I'm going with respect really quick, because I didn't do that earlier, but also I'm going to go over where you can buy this and a couple of things I missed earlier in the video you can actually pick this up at two different spots at one is either amazon. com, which I will have the link in the description, but also you can pick it up from their website HTC com. They actually have coupons floating around on Twitter and I, think even on Facebook I've seen one for 50 dollars, also 649 ?, 50 bucks, and you get it for five hundred and ninety-nine dollars. So definitely you know a great price for all the specs that you can get with this also I'm going to discuss and go into the edge sense feature which I know that's what everybody is looking for.

It anyway. Is it a gimmick? Will you use it I, don't know I'm gonna, try it out, see how it works out for us, or at least for me and go from there, but a couple of things: I want to go over really quick as far as a headphone jack? No, it does not have a headphone jack. That's why I got the toggle in there. Also, I might say you forgot to mention. Is that comes with boomtown, so you have your speaker down here, but the earpiece also I see increasing as a apiece.

Also, just like the HTC alter has Twitter's in there so actually acts as a speaker when you turn it on sideways. Our landscape definitely will make it sound a lot better I'm going to do some speaker, comparisons and everything else too. But let's go over to the specs. Really quick. The display is a 5.5 inch, quad HD on a 2k display. It's actually super L LCD.

It comes with Gorilla Glass 5 on there. So should have some protection for scratches and scrapes on there but I'm going to buy me a glass screen protector just in case, so the pixels is 2560 by 1440. It comes with nougat 7.1 straight out of the box, and it's running the HTC Sense UI over it, so I mean it's really. Nice has a little app drawer. There definitely smooth, as you can tell it, comes with the snapdragon 835 processors, so you know hey it's 2017.

Why not have the best, or I won't say the best, but while the latest and greatest SAR processor in there from Qualcomm and also comes with a 3000 William hour battery, yes only 3000 I know people might complain about it, but you know it is what it is. It does have quick charge.2.0 I'll actually charge it up, see how that lasted for me and get a couple of charges in there make up a couple. Other videos on it. ? also comes with a 12 megapixel camera in the back with an aperture of 1.7. So you definitely should get some perfect pictures.

Low-Light pictures and also has dual flash, so I mean the CTU ultra camel is perfect. I, don't see. Why is that this one alone? It also comes with a 16 megapixel camera in the front to the rear. Camera can shoot up to 4k. The front is 1080p, so definitely I'm.

The cameras should be really, really great. It does also have 3d audio. So that should be great. When you, you know playing making videos taking videos, you should get. You know that 3d sound makes it really sound great.

Also like I mentioned earlier, it does come with the HTC boom sound, which is your know the earpiece and the speaker at the bottom. I mean nation. You also sounded great. Also has Bluetooth 4.2 on it, it comes with NFC on it, I mean it's definitely having all the features that you're looking for, as you can tell they're, you know, I'm connected to my are my Wi-Fi. It has hotspot the calculator, so it has a flashlight which I'm going to go into a little later on too.

So definitely a great looking phone I mean you just look at it. It's just a beautiful device of for will at will it hold up. Will it know, pass all the tests that I'm going to put it through? Only time will tell, but let's get into the essence, because I really want to show you all that, because that's what you know this phone is built on. That's what everybody's talking about it. So if you go into the settings, I don't know if you can actually see that, as my main on is focusing pretty good.

Oh, one thing too, while I'm here machine, it comes with 64, gigs of storage and also four gigs of RAM. So straight out of the box, you would get about 53, gigs of storage, because, as you can tell that system takes about 11 gigs of system, so not not too bad. So 64, gigs straight out of the box, does have a flammable storage also, which is pretty cool. Let's go back into that and so four gigs of ram I'm using about 1.8 right now, an average so should run smooth I shouldn't have any hiccups, but it does have the essence is there you can actually turn it off. If you don't want to use it, so I'm going to click into it.

There's two differ loads. When you first set it up, you can do not advance mode which allows you just to do one app as far as you can launch your camera app, or you can launch Google assistance or anything else. But if you want to get fancy, you can hit advanced mode and what that does be allow you to either press is really quick to do one action or if you hold the squeeze down, you can launch different things, as you can tell right now, I have launched camera as the short squeeze and the squeeze and hold will launch Google Assistant. So let's try it out, see what it does. So, if you hold it, and we just squeeze it really quick, it brings up the camera.

Let me find something take a picture and why not just why not is a baby? Bro I mean older brother, bigger brother. So and if you hold it, you squeeze it, and it takes a picture, as you can tell it, took. The picture actually looks pretty good night cooking picture. So if you go back, oh yeah, I'm going to send it away alright. So if you go back and if I actually hold the button down, it will launch Google and Google will tell me something.

So you can actually go back to settings. You can actually change that I mean you can change anything. So if you want to customize the squeeze and hold you can change it to any app that you want to say: I mean we all watch YouTube. So if you know if YouTube is your thing, you can put YouTube there and if you want to go back, if you want to change the camera, you can change the camera ? anything else. ?.

You can turn the flash fresh light on and off. So let's test that, if I hold it, you two should come up which it does now, if I squeeze it pretty easily, the flashlight came on, and I guess: oh you squeezed. It again turns it off so I mean. Is it a gimmick? I, don't know I'm gonna, try it out I'll, let you all know maybe I do a 48-hour related video, but so far, I think it's pretty cool I mean yeah. It is a gimmick, but you may be to actually use it.

I mean actually goes back and do this on things I'm going to put the camera app and turn that back, and I'll leave YouTube on there. You can actually adjust your screen. You squeeze horse so, depending on how hard you want to squeeze it, you can go up and down when you first set it up, or you can make it even easier. I'm saying go back, you can make it easier if you wanted to, and you can actually test it, you're actually part of the setup. If you squeeze it, you can tell how hard you're going to squeeze it make sure the balloons if you hit next, you want to fill up the balloon and hold it, and it tells you that, so I mean that's getting hit done.

Maybe I have to do it, squeezing in alright. So pretty much, that's how you set up the squeeze. You can actually like I said. If you want to force it or if you want to squeeze it harder, it's definitely up to you. I'm gonna play around with it.

Let you all know how I feel about it, but I think it's pretty cool like I said: look you just hold it press it. The camera app goes there. You want to take a picture, take a picture of this to SE. So BAM there you go I, think I, think it works. Pretty good, like I said, maybe more testing because trying to hold it and not move the camera too much, but I think it works pretty good so that that's so definitely I wanted to show you all.

Also, I'm going to do some comparison. Really quick right now so I have been a big brother. Let's clean off the screen, they both attract fingerprints but, as you can tell definitely different sides, look at the comparisons. Account IU 11 is definitely smaller and let's see- and it's also it's- you know it's a little sign as wide as the ACC you also they both attract fingerprints, but I mean look at they both the beautiful devices. So let me take my Galaxy S8 plus, let's see this alright, so again, ACC! U 11 is smaller, but this one's not by much, and it's a little wider than this- the Galaxy S II Plus.

But let's let's talk about one thing they could do and the front actually gave you a bigger screen. I, don't know if you can, I mean so hard to see, but the chin is like this big. If the fingerprint scanner is there, you can see that in the low they could actually make that that small of the chin smaller also at the top there's a lot of space up there. They could have made it smaller, finding and overall I think the phone is great. So far it's perfect I'm digging the squeeze feature I'm play around with it more and let's go into one thing too, because somebody asked me about the cameras are ready.

So, lets going to the camera app there's a camera up there, so here's the camera app it has. You can do HDR you pull this down. You have your different megapixels, so you have the sixteen by nine greats. Looking thing you can do video, and it tells you that too, for best 3d, sound sprints, make sure not to cover the microphones. We all know that.

So, let's go back, you can do the different qualities, as you can tell it shoots in 4k for HD or HD period, so 720 1080p at 30 frames per second or 4k. You can do the 3d audio, so cameras should be really, really good so to wrap this up. I think the HTC u11 will be a great device. More time will tell that I'm a touch the camera I'm gonna, do comparison between the Galaxy, S, II, Plus, and also the HTC. U altar and LG g6, and also I make videos like I normally do.
