HTC U11 Plus Pixel camera test

Hey, what's going on guys, I'm the gray, the high-tech traveler over the last couple of months, I've done quite a few smartphone camera shoot-outs with the HTC. U eleven plus year and today, I've got another one for you, but this one is going to be a little different since I'll, be comparing the? U eleven plus against itself. I've gotten a lot of comments from you guys asking me to test out the: u eleven, plus with the pixel twos camera app, and that's exactly what I'm going to be doing today. If you're not aware the pixel two is regarded as having the best smartphone camera from 2017 and as such, quite a few developers have been working to get the pixel twos camera app working on other devices, since most of the magic is within the app and its unique algorithms, rather than the hardware that's used on the phone, the camera app can be easily downloaded and installed on a wide range of newer Android smartphones and the results typically deliver improved image quality over what the stock camera app can do on those devices. But since the camera on the? U 11, plus, is also considered to be one of the best from 2017 I'm, not sure that the pixel twos camera app will deliver dramatically better results for this test. I took the U 11 plus out and took the same photo using both camera apps.

So take a look at these side-by-side comparisons, as you can see the HTC. U 11, stock camera app performs incredibly well practically matching the results from the pixel to s camera app in day time shots in a few instances. The added HDR punch that you get with the pixel choose camera app managed to deliver an image with a little more detail and saturation, but at times it also gave us that annoying artificial HDR glow around the outlines of the trees where they meet the sky. If the lighting conditions are perfect, I'd say it's really a toss-up between the two but the pixel twos camera app really shines in low-light conditions. HCC's app does fairly well, but it does have a tendency to blow out the highlight losing a lot of the detail that the pixel choose app manages to preserve the difference between the two isn't dramatic, but it's definitely noticeable, and you'll also notice much better.

Noise reduction with a pistol choose camera app as well as far as selfies goes the characteristics and the results mimic. Those of what we saw with the main camera, but far less distinguishable. The pixel choose app, does do better with reining in highlights in low-light situations, but other than that. It's really hard to tell them apart. Overall, the camera app pulled from the pixel to can deliver slightly better images than what you can get out of the HTC.

U 11, plus with its stock camera app. But to get those results you do have to contend with a buggy app. That does have a tendency to crash from time to time. In taking these 30 pictures, the pixel 2's camera app crashed on me at least a half a dozen times, and also you'll have to contend with not using the flash at all. Since the results are pretty horrendous, then again you do get a dedicated portrait mode with a pixel two app which can deliver some amazing results with the front-facing camera, but for some reason it wasn't working properly with the main camera on the back of the HTC.

U 11, plus the processing time that creates the artificial both effect does take five to eight seconds, which is substantially longer than when it does on the actual pixel 2. But the results are definitely worth the wait and since you can have both apps installed on your phone at the same time, there's really no reason why you shouldn't have the pixel 2's camera app installed on your? U 11, plus, of course, I want to hear your thoughts on the pictures in this video and whether you think that the image is produced with the pixel choose. Camera are better than those produced with HTC. U 11s stock camera app! If you enjoyed this video I hope you give it a thumbs up and don't forget to subscribe. Thank you guys so much for watching and the next one.
