HTC U11 Life Unboxing and First Impressions

Alright guys welcome back to another video sure mange will, so a lot of people are excited about the iPhone X, and I am too, but there are other phones that are coming out that costs half almost less than half that will probably perform just as well, and this is exciting. So what I have here is the HTC? U 11 life, this is exclusive to T-Mobile, and you can also get it directly through HTC. The T-Mobile version costs $300 folks, full cost 300 bucks today is November 3rd and I just left the store. I went in and got it. Let me tell you about this phone. You guys know that the HTC! U 11, is my favorite top device at the moment, but this one gives you some of those features and gives you a premium product, a guest at a more affordable cost.

So 5.2 inch display on this one compared to the 5.5 quad HD. This one has a 1080p display, which is still probably gonna, be good, 16 megapixels on the front and the rear of this one and keep in mind this does do 4k recording on the rear. I will sample that, for you, it has four gigs of RAM and a Snapdragon 630 with a 2600 William hour battery. So don't let that fool you into thinking. It's not going to be good because the HTC, u 11, has a 3000 William hour battery and that thing lasts all day.

This has 64 gigs built in, and this should have Android 8.0 I can't believe it. It's crazy that this phone is releasing with 8.0 and there's other phones out there that are not. This is also IP 67 folks, IP 67, remember 3. Another price tag premium, looking hardware, so I won't bore you with all that, let's get into it here. Let's cut this open here, I'm pretty excited because I want to get this next to my, and I'm, not recording with the U 11 for this video.

If you're wondering because I wanted to show you the? U 11 next to this phone, so I'm using the Galaxy Note 8. So there we go. Let's crack the seal on this together. Let's take a look so right here, you're faced with the phone itself and you Bob, and it's crazy, you get the Sonic headphones in this and I. Think about this.

This phone is $300, it's offering some premium items out of the box, and you get you Sonic headphones and you guys know the Sonic titles. If you don't know it's fantastic and boy, oh boy, let's just get straight to it. Oh my gosh! This is gorgeous. This is HTC, is winning, and it's unfortunate that a lot of people will probably skip this phone, but they'll say: oh this, you see Brent, look at how gorgeous that is. Oh, my gosh! That is gorgeous now.

Let me tell you, I can't tell if this is actually plastic or metal. Let's get some power going here, and we'll get into the contents of the box folks. This feels good. Oh my gosh, alright! So you've got that still that kind of the good premium. Look that you have from the HTC.

You will let my here's the 11. You can see it's a little smaller, but it still feels good. We're going to take the cameras outside in the same video too as well, so you got that 16 megapixel back there with a dual tone: LED flash Ridge power button volume, rocker button there, nothing on this side, you've got the SIM tray up top, which doubles with the SD card slot, and you've got a noise cancellation. Microphone you've got type see down here. Folks, Wow! Oh, wait me yep type cos it's to the side Oh get out, so they put the type C port to the side and I guess.

This is a speaker right here, nice, very nice, and then you've got a noise cancellation microphone down there. This phone does still have that surround sound recording this is gorgeous man. It's going to look at that Wow, so in here on this side there they are folks use sonic headphones, pretty much everything that comes in the box with the premium version of this phone, which is the u11. It's pretty amazing if they're giving you the sonic headphones, you got the turbocharge. You got everything in the box, you got your SIM tray.

You got manuals and stuff here we don't care about that. Let's go ahead and go through the setup, and then I'll be right back, so I'm going to get this thing all set up, and I'll be right. Back and I know this is kind of fantastic. So, let's get it set up, and I'll be right back, alright guys! So alright! So in this set up here, as you can see, you do have the squeeze feature, and- and this is really nice, so I'll set it up later, because you guys already know about that. I also set up the fingerprint reader later, let's get anyway and just go next, and then we got to agree to all this, and we're in, so I'm doing a restore from the essential phone, and you can see the wallpaper already picked up the hook.

I love doing a restore, sometimes because it picks out everything. Furthermore, I'll have to do a lot of setting up. But if you look at how beautiful the screens and I hope, the Galaxy Note 8 is doing it justice with this recording, but you can see here, this does have the Snapdragon 630 and this I think this is kind of my first experience with a Snapdragon 630. Let's go down to about well, first, let's go to storage here and my apologies. I said this phone had 64 gigs of on-board storage.

That's probably the unlocked version of the International Version. This one has 32 gigs onboard storage, but it does have an SD card slot where you can upgrade. You do have the Sonic active noise cancellation, headphones that you can use as well and once again this one I was reading the specs, which I shouldn't do I should just read around the box, because I was reading the specs from GSM arena. This version, the T-Mobile version, has 3 gigs of RAM and 32 gigs onboard storage, but that's still perfect, and also it's running 7.1.1, as you can see. So this will get Android Orion.

So again, my apologies, but let's go into what you all want to see which I want to see. I'll do a comparison of these two phones later, but we're going to get into the cameras on these, and you can kind of see the difference here in the size for the? U 11 and the? U 11 light this one is gonna, get a lot of use. Trust me! So, let's go take it downstairs and let's go check out these cameras. Folks, alright guys it's your man Jay will. This is the rear camera of the HTC? U 11 life the light version of the HTC? U 11 and the HTC 11 plus.

This is a light version. This phone costs 300 bucks check out this rear camera at 16, megapixels 2.0 aperture. What do you think this is a 4k sample and look at how it's rendering it think of your flagship phone that you got I'm just kind of showing you different things around here? To give you some sense of how the quality is: let's walk down. I know most things: they don't have stabilization in 4k, but I always do it anyway, because some people might be walking suit in 4k and if the video is jittery, they might not like it, but here it is 300 bucks, folks, I'm glad I skipped the Moto X 4, because yeah this phone may be plastic, but it looks perfect. Let's check the zoom, all that zoom is stuck.

Oh yes, check out that zoom, that's pretty good! Oh, yes! Now the ultimate test. Let's check the front camera Houston! We have taken off, and I got to tell you this front. Camera is looking pretty good. This is probably what you would get outside in the shade. That's where I'm at, but let's switch the lighting up a little, see how good it gets and look at this beautiful camera wow.

This is amazing. This is a crate, 16 megapixel camera on the front of the HTC. You life I'm, not just saying that. Well, you see for yourself compare this camera to some of your other phones that you have. You tell me, which one is better.

I will have comparisons of this phone next to the HTC. U 11 so stay tuned for that. But what do you think so there you have it, how do a CH TC do so far? This is just my initial impressions. In first hand, zone and I got to tell you. Oh, another thing.

This is plastic, so you know you don't get a metal body and chassis like you do on here, but they did a good job. Making this look like it's a premium. It looks premium, it's super lightweight. I mean this is it looks just like the phone over here is, if you get a smaller version, and you still get a premium feeling phone a premium looking phone, this is gonna, be good folks, so issue mange will yes, it does have the fingerprints, so you will need to keep it clean. I.

Don't really care about that, though, because this is plastic, and so it won't be like the metals which means it probably won't. Scratch is easy, like this, liquid design or whatever this one I keep it in a case, but it's gotten some scratches from the case, but all that said this is a must buy folks. This is a must-buy bumpy cam. This is a must-buy for 300 bucks. Oh my gosh and I hope the note eight did fit just video justice.

It doesn't look too good on the viewfinder. To be honest, there's also used to recording with this phone, but nonetheless this is the life. Sure mange, we'll see you guys in the next video take care.
