Hands on with the NEW iPhone XR Smart Battery Case!

Hey guys Anthony here and today, we're going to be taking a look at the iPhone 10, our smart battery case, so this was released earlier this week alongside the iPhone 10s and the iPhone tennis max versions. So there's no more red this time around. There's only black and white to choose from, so I picked up the black one, and we're pretty much just going to be opening it up, and I'm going to walk you guys through the case and through its features, alright. So at the front of the box here we have a picture of the smart battery case, along with the version that you picked up so mine, says the iPhone 10 art on the back. We do have a pull tab up at the top, so I'm going to go ahead and take that off real quick awesome. So then you guys should be cool to just go ahead and pull that tag up there revealing the smart battery case and there it is, so it looks really nice.

It looks very simple, very clean, very Apple like, but it does look similar to all the ones that have been released throughout the years. So there are some differences, and we are going to mention those in this video, but I'm going to go ahead and take this out right now, so it does have a little of weight to it, but it's not too much where it feels unbearable. It is very manageable guys. So don't stress too much about that in the front we see that it embraces that full screen designed by Apple no longer do we have that bottom bezel right there on the bottom, so I'm going to go ahead and Chuck this paperwork I know you guys, don't really want to see that anymore. So get rid of that.

So, let's take a look at the design, real quick. So like I mentioned earlier, there are a few key things that have changed, and I specifically want to look at the camera cutout, since Apple no longer makes horizontal camera setups, they only make vertical ones. We have to have the vertical camera cut out to match. So what this means in terms of design is that the whole battery pack at the back has to be shifted downwards. So we no longer have that little gap in the bottom of the case, which made it feel thinner than it actually was.

So speaking of the battery pack, it is a monster on top of the already fake iPhone 10 are. This thing makes it feel like a brick, so it's not something that is going to be terribly hard to get used to you get used to the way after a couple of days, but it is worth mentioning because it makes it twice as thick. Taking a look inside the case, we see that it's still lined with microfibers. So that's a very nice touch in this case does a really, really good job of showing off the iPhone 10 ours edge to edge design so that liquid Retina Display is looking very clean right now in terms of functionality, though, we do lose that front bezel that was redirecting the bottom firing speaker sounds to the front, and instead we do have that regular down firing, speaker slot. So another thing about removing the bezel is that they had to move the Lightning port a little more to the back.

So it leaves this weird unscented port, just at the bottom of the case. Let's talk about the other design elements, so the buttons, as you can see, are a little lighter than the rest of the case, but they match the Apple logo. So I think this is really cool because it acts as a sort of accent and the contrast makes the keys pop one of the things I like about this case is that it's always charging your phone and I know some of you guys don't really like this, but I prefer it this way. So another thing to mention is that you do get a widget with this, so it shows you the percentage of your smart battery case as well as your iPhone, so you always know what's up so if you don't have this just scroll all the way down from this menu click Edit and you should be able to add it from there. A new feature on this huge battery case is the ability to charge wirelessly.

So for all you who have a wireless charger. This is great news for you. Apple is really going all out with their wireless charging. If you choose to charge your case separately, it does have a little indicator inside, so you'll know when it's completely charged. One last thing to mention is that you can use your ear pods with the lightning connector found at the bottom of the case.

So if you want you, don't ever have to take this case off, you can just go ahead and plug in your earphones to the bottom, and you should be good to go. So that's gonna, be it for today's video guys, I hope you liked it and if you did give it a thumbs up and consider looking at the rest of my videos that I'm going to link at the end of this video thanks for watching.
