Google Pixel Unboxing

Unless you've been living under a rock by now. You've no doubt heard about Google's latest smartphones, the pixel and pixel XL. Both subjects of a major advertising blitz, we've already brought you full coverage on the larger 5.5 inch, pixel XL, and now it's time to turn our attention to the smaller of the two phones, the 5-inch pixel op Steven shank with phone arena. My full review will be following shortly, but for now let's get start it with an unboxing of the Google Pixel meet the 5h Google Pixel. Here in it's quite black color last week you might remember we unboxed and reviewed the 5.5 inch pixel XL here in it's very silver, shade, surprisingly enough boxes, exactly the same size, despite these phones being different sizes, Google's elected to go with the same packaging for uniform, look I, think it's a kind of cool design decision here. So if you saw last week's unboxing, you're probably going to be pretty familiar with what we have in here, but we're still going to dive in nonetheless, outside the exact same sort of markings we saw with the XL Google Assistant Google cast daydream, VR, letting us know what some features the phone supports.

Obviously assistant built-in daydream we're still waiting for that guy to arrive, but pre-orders are open for the daydream. Headsets. If you want to make sure you get one. Let's get this box open here same sort of packaging. We had last time open this guy up, and it looks exactly like we had with the pigs.

Luck so I'll, be it slightly smaller. Although I do like this cool black shade here, let's see how the phone first because that's the most fun same introduction to Google assistant. We had before get this unwrapped, it'll never be as clean as it is now, but that's okay yeah! That is really nice. Looking there, the glass looks a lot different in the black, then didn't the silver. In fact, unless you catch the light just right, it doesn't really look like glass at all.

It's really cool how they did that. A nice firm matte finish with the metal all over here the aluminum the same set of sloping, the curved sides. It could have this nice flat eggs that makes it feel nice in your hand, this knows markedly lighter than the XL I wonder how this is going to feel carrying around for a few days same USB, type-c port on the bottom for charging speaker, grilles, headphone jack up top our sim tray on the side here at sim, only no micros expansion, let's power the phone on, so we check out the rest of the accessories again we're not expecting anything different from we saw with the XL, but you don't care her to look is why you're watching, after all, yet same USB, type-c power adapter that takes the USB type-c cable? It's not a standard a2, USB, C and right here we have yep that USB type-c, 2, USB, type-c, cable, lovely opening tone, same sort of guy I expect ya, sim tool get started, guide, introduction to the assistant or there's going to have play music yep play music. Thank you note and our warranty safety info standard stuff. There are no surprises the rest of our cables and accessories.

Here we have the USB c2 standard, any cable, so you can interface the phone with your computer or any existing chargers. You have lying around and this little migratory tool here. This guy means it's not going to come out of here. That's going to be assuming it's the same as on the XL yep, a standard a2 USB, type-c, adapter, you're, gonna use this. You have, let's say like an iPhone that has your lightning cable at USB, type-c or USB standard on the end you plug it in here you can interface with the phone can transfer stuff over I, believe it works with the iPhone.

I should double-check on that. Oh, or you know other Android phones, so you can get your files on the new device and get up to speed in a hurry. So that's the hardware that comes with this guy. Here's the phone same sort of introductory a software we saw and stare at SIM card yeah. We have to get a SIM tray, SIM card in their yeah copy over from an iPhone I was right or an Android, or the cloud get set up as new aren't we going to go ahead and configure the Wi-Fi here and come back in a second alright with Wi-Fi setup and the basic Android setup process taken care of.

We are now into the operating system itself. This looks just like we saw on the pixel XL background, the default backgrounds a little different there, but that's cool we're going to customize, the heck out of this thing, as we start playing around with it check out the Google Assistant on here, I'm gonna, have to sign in to Google account. Okay, we'll check that out for the full review, but yeah. This has been an unboxing of the Google Pixel. You already saw the Excel.

Now it's a smaller phone stay tuned to phone arena. Our full review on this model will be coming up soon. For now, though, I'm Steven shank, and thanks for watching.
