Google Pixel 5 VS Pixel 4a 5G VS Pixel 4a Comparison!

What's happening everyone, my name is Alex and welcome back, so today I got the pixel 5 and the pixel 4 a5g. So the latest two phones from Google now over the past month and a half I've been using the Pixel 4a as my main phone, and if I can use this as my main phone, this phone is going to be good enough for a lot of people, of course not for everyone. A lot of people want better specs, better features, and so on now this one you can find for 350 dollars, the Pixel 4a 5g is 4.99 and the pixel 5 is 6.99 and of course, I'm talking about um us dollars. So in today's video I'm going to compare the three pixels that we got this year, and hopefully I will make it a bit easier for you to choose the right pixel for you, because the most expensive one may not necessarily be the best choice for everyone and with that being said, let me turn the camera around, and I'll. Tell you all about them, alright! So, as you can probably see for yourself, these three phones look pretty much identical. There are a couple of small differences, but it's difficult to tell which one um is which so on the left.

Here we have the Pixel 4a. This one has a 5.8-inch screen. Next we have the pixel 5. This one has a 6-inch screen, and then we have the pixel 4 a5g, and this one has a 6.2-inch screen. So if you need the phone that has the biggest screen this one here is your only option.

Now, if you look at the bezels on the pixel 5, they are definitely smaller than the bezels that we get on the Pixel 4a. So, even though this is a 6-inch screen, we basically get the same size for the phone, so the Pixel 4a and the pixel 5 are almost um identical in size. So of course, um that comes with a higher price um on the pixel 5. The pixel 5 is also the only one out of the three that has a 90 hertz refresh rate. These two have a 60hz refresh rate, and the resolution on all three devices is also 1080p, and they all use them all.

At this place. Now the colors on the screens from the Pixel 4a 5g and the Pixel 4a are also a bit warmer. I find the colors on the screen from the pixel 5 a bit cooler and also, I believe that the pixel 5 gets a bit brighter, just a tiny bit brighter than the other two. So these two, the pixel 4 and the pixel 45g, are kind of using the exact same on screen, but the pixel 5 is using a better quality screen. I'm going to say moving on to the back.

Well, as you can see once again, they do look very similar now out of the three only the pixel 5 is made out of metal, so the back of this one is metal. The back on the pixel 4 and the pixel 4 a5g is made out of plastic, and these two phones, the pixel 4 and the 4a 5g, do seem very similar. We have the same fingerprint scanner positioning there, but the cameras here are a bit different. So the main lens is the same on all three devices, so the one that you see here, but then on the pixel 5 and on the pixel 4a5 g, we get an ultra-wide lens um as well. So what you're seeing on the screen right now are some pictures that I took earlier today and after looking at all the pictures that I took, I actually took way more than I'm I'm showing you on the screen.

The colors seem to be the same picture. Sharpness is the same. Dynamic range seems to be the same, so it doesn't matter which phone you have they're going to take very similar pictures. I did notice. However, there are a few differences for video recording, so the pixel 4 a5g and the pixel 5 get um some new levels of image, stabilization, something that we don't have on the Pixel 4a, and we also get 4k at 60 frames per second, something that the Pixel 4a cannot do.

So the maximum recording resolution for the Pixel 4a is 4k at 30 frames per. Second. I've also noticed that the pixel 4 a5g and the pixel 5 seem to cut down the wind noise much better than the Pixel 4a. So next I'm going to show you a quick recording, so you can see what I'm talking about the video quality in between the three. This is a quick video recording between the Pixel 4a, the pixel, 4a 5g and, of course, the pixel 5.

Now, unfortunately, this super windy, ultra, probably gonna, hear a lot of wind in this recording so for this recording I'm doing 4k at 30 frames per second, and I'm using the main lenses um. On the back of these three devices, however, the pixel 5 and the pixel 4a5, which could also record in 4k at 60 frames per second something that the pixel 4 um. You cannot do, so we're going to stop somewhere around here, I'm going to pan left slowly and back right and up so yeah. This is how recording from these three devices would look like on a sunny day, basically recording in 4k 30 frames per second. The pixel 5 also supports wireless charging and reverse wireless charging.

What does reverse wireless charging mean? It means that you can place some headphones here or another phone, and you can charge them that other device from the pixel 5. We've seen this feature for a lot of other devices in the past, but the wireless charging is only supported by the pixel 5, so not the Pixel 4a or the 4a 5g. So, if you need that feature in your life, the pixel 5 is definitely the one to go. The pixel 5 is also the only one. That's water resistant out of the three.

So if you believe that your phone will get wet in the near future, definitely get yourself the pixel 5, because this one will not be damaged if it gets wet. These other two will probably be damaged if they get wet with the Pixel 4a and the pixel 4 a5g. We also get 3.5 mil audio jacks um, where the pixel 5. We don't get that, so you either have to use some Bluetooth headphones to the pixel, 5 or um use an adapter from the USB to a 3.5 million audio jack. The buttons of all three devices are also pretty similar.

So once again you can't really tell at which phone you're looking at another thing. I've noticed on the pixel 5 is the fact that at the top there we don't actually have any holes for the speaker. So with this on the pixel 4, we get some holes for the speaker and the same with the pixel 4 a5g. So these devices have a speaker here. There is one here as well, but it's underneath the screen, and then we have um the second speaker at the bottom here now.

In my personal opinion, the Pixel 4a and the pixel 45 g sound similar, and they sound a bit better than the pixel 5, probably because the speaker on that one is underneath the screen, so the sound doesn't come out as easily as it does on these other two moving on to performance, so the Pixel 4a is using the snapdragon 730. The pixel 5 is using the snapdragon 765 and the pixel 45g it's using the snapdragon 765. So the same one on the pixel 5 and the 4a 5g. This one has 6 gigs of ram. The Pixel 4a has 6 gigs of ram as well, and the only one that gets 8 gigs of ram is the pixel 5.

Now I've been using the Pixel 4a for a month and a half now as my main phone, and there is only one app that I found that could use a bit more ram, just um, just one app and of course, if you check the scores on the an tutu benchmark, the Pixel 4a gets the lowest score followed by the pixel um for a5g, probably because it has that six gigs of ram and the pixel five I'm getting the highest and score on the android to benchmark so to quickly conclude this video. Personally, I feel that the pixel 4 a5g offers the best value out of these three. I mean, of course, you're losing the water resistance and the wireless charging by getting this one over the pixel 5 and, of course, the low refresh rate on this one. But personally, because this one has the larger screen um. I do think this is the best option, at least for someone like me.

That wants a bigger screen. I also forgot to mention that the battery inside the pixel 5 is the biggest out of the three. So this one has a 4080 William hour battery, and I'll write, uh the values from um, the pixel 4 a5g and the Pixel 4a on the screen, but the pixel 5 should get the best battery life unless that 90 hertz display will use more um, more power. Of course, I'll have to test out the phones for a longer period of time. So I can see how that goes all right guys.

Hopefully I made it a bit easier for you to choose the right, pixel um, if you did like the video, don't forget to press that. Like button, don't forget to subscribe, and I will see you guys in the next one thanks for watching.
