Google Pixel 5 vs Motorola One 5G ace (comparison and review)

What's up everybody in this video, I'm comparing the Google Pixel 5 with the Motorola one 5g ace, and if you like videos, where you compare smartphones and specs uh low, end mid-range flagships, consider subscribing to the channel, I upload at least two times a day, or at least I try to so. But let's go ahead and get started and compare these two bad boys. The Google Pixel 5 comes in at a relative flagship level. Pricing at around 700 bucks, while the 105g ace comes unlocked for 400. , and you could also get it as low as 30 bucks on prepaid at metro by T-Mobile. So if you get it on prepaid, it just really blows us.

The pixel 5 out of the water price wise and even if you get 400 dollars, you're still saving a lot of cash um. The pixel 5 is a flagship 5g phone, while the 105 g8 gives you 5g, but not at a high price. Let's go ahead and take a deeper dive, so the pixel 5 weighs in and up at about 5.3 ounces, a very lightweight phone one: five gas seven and a half ounces build quality. Um differs a little. The both of them have a glass front, but the pixel 5 has an aluminum back aluminum frame.

One five g8 is pretty much a plastic phone, but for the price I have to give it to the one five GA, so you're, getting barely a better build quality on the pixel five for the price. Pixel five also has an uh. Apart from a NATO sim. It also has an e-sim embedded. So if you're a traveler, you could swap out and have two different phone numbers.

Two different data plans. At the same time, while the one five g8 does not have that um also, the pixel 5 has ip68 dust and water resistance, while the Motorola has a water repellent coating. As for the display, pixel 5 has a smaller 6.0 inch displacement, 6 inch display OLED, and it has 90 hertz refresh rate.15G 8 has a huge 6.7 inch, IPS lcd at 60 hertz and both of them have around 86 screens to body ratio. You have similar resolutions they're, both 1080p full HD displays, but you've got 432 PPI on the pixel 5 393 PPI on the 150 gas. Pretty much almost even you'll get a good quality display on both of these, but one's seven hundred dollars.

The other one is only thirty dollars or four hundred, depending on how you buy it. Now for storage, the pixel five has a pretty good okay amount of 128 gigs, but for that price, it's not that big of a big of a deal, the one 5g ace. Most models come in at 128, gigs of storage as well, but it's only priced at, like I said, 30 to 400 dollars, and also it has the bonus of having that micro SD card slot, which the pixel 5 does not have um so hands down storage department, the one five gas wings uh for as for ram the pixel 5 has 8 gigs of ram one five g8 most models come in six gigs of ram so again, they're very similar in the ram department, but both of these amounts of ram will be more than enough to handle most apps' day to day. As for the software, the pixel 5 has android 11 uh one five g8 has android 10. They both offer a stock version of android, pretty much they're going to feel very similar Motorola one uh five g8s has a few Motorola adjusters like the chop motion for camera twist motion, or I'm sorry, the chat motion for the flashlight and the twist motion for the camera.

But the pixel 5 is going to get the newest versions of android right away. While the one 5g ace, you don't count on getting any meaningful updates, they both offer similar chipsets they're, both around the mid-range mark. Pixel 5 is snapdragon 765g um, Motorola 155g8 has a snapdragon 750 g 5g processor. Both of these will be more than enough for most people as long as you're not handling heavy gaming or heavy video editing they'll both handle 99 of apps out there for consumption and entertainment and day-to-day activities like YouTube. Snapchat Instagram like gaming, such as dead trigger or grand theft, auto one of my personal favorites- and you know, maps and stuff like that.

So you shouldn't have any complaints in the performance department with the chips. As for the camera, the pixel 5 has two cameras: 12 megapixel main shooter 16 megapixel ultra-wide, while the one 5g ace has a triple camera setup, 48, megapixel, main camera, a megapixel ultra light 2 megapixel macro, and they both shoot at 4k video. Now, to sum it up on the camera department, the pixel 5 has an overall better camera and I have to give it to the both the daytime performance and the nighttime performance. The 1 5g ace will give you decent shots, but only in the daytime or in the right lighting for the selfies. The pixel 5 has an 8 megapixel selfie shooter.

You got 16 megapixel shooter and the one 5g ace and they both shoot at 1080p video. So pretty good selfie cameras on both of these um, the pixel 5, does not have a headphone jack, while the 1.5 g8 does. So that's a big advantage, no matter how you cut it. Uh the connectivity on the pixel 5 has Bluetooth 5.0, while the 1.5 g8 has 5.1. Both of these will happily connect to your Bluetooth devices.

Wireless devices such as your smartwatch, your smart band, your wearables, your wireless speakers, your wireless headphones. They both offer NFC, which is mostly used for payment services, and both of these phones have USB type c for charging for unlocking and security. They both have a rear, fingerprint reader, very reliable way to unlock your device. Last but not least, is the battery, and this is where the pixel always falls short um. The pixel 5 has a 4000mah battery, while the one 5g ace has a more respectable, pretty good 5000mah battery, so hands down the better overall battery life phone is the one 5g ace you can get up to three days of battery life.

Pixel 5 is only going to get you probably around one day if you're lucky, but the pixel 5 does offer a little more options on charging. You got fast. Charging at 18 wants wireless charging at 12 watts and reverse charging at five watts, while the one five gauge only has 15 watts fast, fast charging, but overall, better battery experience is going to be the one five g ace. So what are my thoughts and opinions after reviewing both of these phones in the spec department? Well, the overall better phone in value is going to be the one 5g ace. If you c, if you want an um, if you don't want to spend a lot of money on a 5g phone, you know the one five g8s will be perfectly suited for you.

It does pretty much everything that the pixel 5 does um and the best in a lot of departments such as the battery life, the screen size. It has the micro SD card slot um. Furthermore, it has. You know the headphone jack there's a lot of things to like on the one five g ace, the only advantages that the pixel 5 really gives. You are going to be a better overall camera experience and reliable, fast, several uh, android updates, but other than that the software is going to feel exactly the same.

But for 700 hours, it's a tough sell on the pixel 5 you're, not going to find it with any meaningful discounts on prepaid, while the 105 g8 could be had for as low as 30 bucks. So, overall I mean just pick the one 5g ace it's going to give you probably much of the best value on the Motorola 5g phone, while the pixel 5 only pick it up. If you want fast android updates and a good camera other than that, the 5g ace wins hands down. Thanks for watching guys, and if you like, content about comparing smartphones and specs.
