Google Pixel 3a Review - Is it a MISTAKE? By sakitech

Let's dive in hey guys, sock here from sake tech in today's video, we're gonna, be talking about the Pixel 3a, so Google has launched a Pixel 3a and the pixel 3/8 XL and, as you know, the Pixel 3a is the smaller version for $400, with a 5.6 inch display and the Pixel 3a XL, which would be my choice, is the larger version with 6 inches and $479. So what are you getting for this price range of $400 when you purchase one of these smartphones, so I have a pixel, 3a XL over here, and I'll. Let you know what you're getting right off the bat you're getting one of the best smartphone cameras on the market right now that directly competes and even beefs.

Some of the best flagship smartphones on the market, such as the iPhone 10s Mac's, the Samsung Galaxy S 10, plus the Samsung Galaxy note 9 to name a few, so that amazing camera certainly is an immediate benefit of having this smartphone. Now, let me talk about. Let me talk about other things as well, but let me quickly show you something: I'm gonna project, two images on the screen: one of these images were swirled was taken with Samsung Galaxy, S, tens night mode at minimal light, and the other one was taken with the Pixel 3a XL again, with the same lighting conditions using the night sight mode and of course the s 10 plus is $1,000 phone and the Pixel 3a is in fact $400 to get you started. So when you look at these pictures side-by-side, it is crystal clear that the camera on the Pixel 3a for nighttime shots is in fact better. Now, when we move on to daytime shots, images have similar image quality.

But again that is the highlight of this smartphone. This smartphone for $400 is giving you a flagship camera. That's me very useful for many years to come, so that's one thing that you're getting what else are you getting with the Pixel 3a? You are getting that same gorgeous design of the pixel smartphones. I am a very big fan of the design of the pixel smartphones from the rear end. They get a nice two-tone finish.

They've got a colorful button over here and, of course, when you buy this one here that is built out of plastic this. This does not have a premium build quality, but it's got the same design language as its premium brothers, so over here I have a pixel 3. Okay! So when I hold this in my hands, it feels really nice. You can tell that it's a premium product because of the glass finish on the back with this one. When you hold this in your hands.

First and foremost, it's a little lighter because it's plastic and number two you can tell it's not as premium as a pixel 3, but it looks exactly the same you're getting a Google branded pixel smartphone with an amazing camera. Another thing you're getting is, of course, the fact that you have stock Android on this thing, and it's always going to be up-to-date. It is very essential to understand that a lot of people put a lot of emphasis on the camera and the actual software of a smartphone in their decision into while they're buying on and finally another strong pillar of the smartphone of the Pixel 3a is the actual display, I'm surprised that actually we were able to put in and all that display in this guy and of course it does not have a low resolution. It is a 6-inch screen on this one. This is the XL version, and it's got 1080p display.

Actually it's called full high-definition, plus it's even beyond 1080p. It's got a lot of pixels. It's got an all that display that's going to give you deep, blacks and also a nice and bright screen. Now, if you were to go and take a look at the 10 or there are so many things in that phone that are amazing, it's got an amazing processor amazing build quality. Basically, every component of the iPhone 10 are is pretty amazing, but then you get a low resolution LCD.

Now this phone does not make that mistake. You get an OLED display on the smartphone for $400. You get the best camera in the market for a smartphone right now and of course, you get Google branded pixel phone with access to stock Android, which is very smooth, very fast and very snappy, and, of course, you're going to be getting updates for a long time to come. So that's what you're getting with the smartphone now there's a couple of things you're not getting. This is not a flagship smartphone.

This is a budget version of the pixel 3, so I have the pixel 3 here and, of course, the pixel 3 has so many things that the pixel 3 8 does not have. It's got a better build quality like we talked about. It has a faster processor. Furthermore, it's got wireless charging, it's got water resistance, so it certainly has more to offer than the pixel 3. But when you consider the price difference between these two smartphones, so a pixel 3 would be $400 and a pixel 3 would be around $800.

So for half the price you're getting all the highlights of a Google, pixel flagship smartphone on the Pixel 3a, and that's the magic of this smartphone. Somehow it just feels like this is one of the best balanced budget smartphones on the market. That does in fact focus on things that matter and deliver those things and to cut the prices to get you that low price. It does do some cutbacks on the things that are not that important, such as the build quality or even a faster processor, because I'll tell you what the phone runs like a champion. It's very fast and very snappy.

Furthermore, it's even got that squeeze functionality. You can squeeze the phone to bring up the Google Assistant and, of course it does have that 3.5 millimeter headphone jack for people that enjoy that option. Okay, so the conclusion is: if you are in the market right now to buy a pixel smartphone, you can easily choose the Pixel 3a over the pixel 3. Okay, I've been using the phone for a little here and, of course, I've used the pixel 3 as well and I. Don't really notice too many differences.
