Google Pixel 2 XL Unboxing & Hands On Overview (Indian Unit)

Hi there this is Transit and, as you can see, I have the Google Pixel to excel with me and in this video we'll be doing the unboxing, and this is the Indian unit and the price is about 73,000, as you can see, it's sold in India via Flipkart, and actually this is not my unit. This I got from Faisal, Communications and I. Just simply couldn't get the unit early, so he had one. So he just loaned me for some time so that I could produce an unboxing video for you guys. So this is the phone itself, as you can see. Let's just take this out and as I've told you, this is his unit, so there is something it's I think so his name as aged over here and, let's just open it up.

So it says: welcome to team pixel, some paperwork and stuff. Just we also get that adapter, because this is USB type-c, so USB type-c to normal USB adapter. We are getting, and we get a USB type-c cable, and we also get a dongle. Yes guys we don't have the headphone jack. So, just like the iPhone, you have to use this dongle if you want to connect the 3.5 mm, headphone jack, so USB type-c to that when you are getting- and this would be the charger- let me just take that out- and this is a fast charger that is supplied. So this also as USB type-c, and this is a fast charger that we are getting.

So let me keep these things to the side, and then we'll have a look at the handset. So this is the phone itself, and this is the XL, and this has the six-inch screen. But it is not very, very Bank because it's again in the 18 s to 9 screen aspect ratios and, as you can see, this is the black color and Google decided to go just with a single camera. But again the single camera can also do portrait mode and even the front-facing camera has that portrait mode. It also has dual love front firing.

Speakers we'll check that, let's quickly just put this up, and it gets that Google logo over here by the time it actually boots up. Let me give you a physical overview on the top. We have a secondary noise cancellation microphone. We have the power button volume rockers over here, whatever we just have the USB type-c no headphone jack, and here we have the SIM slot. Again, it's a single cell device guys, and it has actually booted, but before we continue here, are the specs for the pixel to excel the pixel to Excel is powered by the Snapdragon 835 chipset, which is outscore processor.

It has a drain of 540 GPU. It comes with 4 gigabytes of RAM. Moving to the storage, we have two variants: 64 or 128 gigabytes. It has a 6-inch screen protected by Gorilla, Glass, 5 and moving to the camera. It has a 12 point, two megapixel rear facing camera with F 1.8 lens, and it also has optical image stabilization moving to the front-facing camera, it's 8 megapixel shooter with F 2.4 lens. Furthermore, it also has stereo speakers and a 3520 William hour battery.

So, as you can see, I have unlocked this device, and this is the new launcher that we are getting on these pixels as smartphones, and this is a live. What you can see, as you can see, this moves, and many of you will I am pretty sure, are asking about the screen. If you look straight, it looks fine, but again, if you tilt a little, there is a little of color shifting that you would notice now completely white background. It has some more evident and pixel. Google has also added a new thing.

If you just squeeze these devices, you can launch the assistant. So, as you can see, squeeze for assistance is there. You have to set it up, and it launches to Google assistant. So obviously you can use the Google Assistant like this or press this button and notice the speaker as I told you. It has that front firing speakers, so it is actually pretty loud.

So this is the new launcher and aim it's a pixel device, so it is really fast as of now so, as you can see, if we go to system as you can see, it's running on the Android version, eight dots, and we get on to variant 64, GB or 128. The one that we have is the 64 gigabyte variant and, as you can see, almost 11, it's sort of you, so you would get approximately 50 3.5 GB of space available I mean if you require more off for the 128 gigabyte variant, because this one does not have any micro SD card support. So one thing that I've noticed is that, though it is having that six-inch screen, it does not weigh that much so in terms of weight, it has been done. The balance of the weight has been done very well, and another thing is that back is actually metallic, but they have a coating, so it gives that rubbery or sort of plastic feel. So in fact it provides a good grip to the device itself.

So, let's just unlock this one, and I think that Google was talking. A lot is regarding the camera and DXO mark actually gave it a very high rating, the highest for smartphones. So let's also look at the camera. In fact, let's just fire it up. So this is the camera interface in terms of interface.

Again, as you can see, not much has changed. We have the timer. Obviously we have this Motion Plus. Absolutely we have this grid and color temperature. But if you go over here, you can also toggle on the portrait mode.

So let's just take some quick snaps here. The shutter speed is nice, and the camera is supposed to be actually very good again. I have taken some snaps around my office, and even I mean Demand was here, so I took some snaps with him. So here are some of the quick samples that I've shot with this pixel excel, and here are some of the samples with the front-facing camera. You guys, let me know what do you think about the camera performance again? I will be testing the camera a lot more, and I'll be posting a lot more videos on this pixel to excel.
