Galaxy Z Flip 5G Unboxing By Tech OG

Hey everyone, tech OG here representing those who are 40 and up who love their tech and I finally got it after hours- and I mean hours of waiting um got an indication this morning at 7 57 that um my package was out for delivery on the FedEx truck, and it's now 4 40 p. m. Here, and I finally got it just got the box a couple of minutes ago. I apologize that this can be a live video um. I do not meet your requirements yet, but um I'm going to meet them soon. Um, like I said, I'm happy to be in my new man cave my new house, so I'm going to be making some new videos new content.

I'm just very, very excited right now, finally got my package, so let me show you what I got inside well. You should already know that um through uh Samsung's advertising and through their uh event that they've had about a week or so ago. I'm talking about the uh, their flagship, the note 20 uh plots, the note 20 and the note 20 ultra that's been advertised and um reviewers. All over YouTube have been talking about the phone promoting the phone telling the pros and cons about it, and I was on the cusp of getting one because with Samsung their um trading program, um, you can trade in phones uh as old. As the note 8 note, 9 uh for some pretty good prices, um geared towards getting a newer phone.

So I went online and pre-ordered the note 20 about a week ago. However, the day after I pre-ordered, I actually canceled the order, because I'm saying to myself this is a very expensive phone. Do I really need it um can I go with what I already have, which it been, I now say the uh iPhone 10s? So I kept going back and forth because I was saying to myself: it's its just getting too expensive to afford new phones and new technology. These days I mean they're, nice they're, new, they're, great and everything, but the price of a phone. These days, like I said, are the price of a laptop.

It's the price of a nice keyboard for those who are in the music. So I just kept telling myself: is it worth it to get a phone? So I bit the bullet and finally got one, and let me show you the one that I got. Don't have my knife on me. So I'm going to use my Stormtrooper Star Wars, key open, my box up man. This has been a long time coming, excuse my excitement.

I got it. Here's my receipt. Here's proof! I got it from Samsung FedEx today, and this is the phone that I decided to get notice. The box is not as big as the note 20. I got the Galaxy Z flip 5g.

Now. Why did I decide to get this phone over their flagship? The note 20 ultra cause, like I said I had it in my cart. Had it all ready to go even had the education discount on it. I was just about to get it but decided to go with the z flip 5g. So why did I decide to get this one? I'm even though the note 20 great specs, great phone, not a great price.

One thing that really told me to gear away from it was the size. I mean, I know: big phones are the thing right now, but I am not a fan of big phones and, with the uh note, 20, ultra being a 6.9-inch screen phone that that is really, really large, and they're getting larger and larger, and I mean, despite the great specs that it has on it. I just couldn't fathom having that big of a phone in my pocket or having it in my hand, because the bigger the phones get the heavier they can get. You know in your pocket or holding it. It can cause fatigue.

So, yes, this phone stretches out to be 6.7 inches when you unfold it, but looking at the box and comparing it to the note 20 ultra, this is a lot smaller than that. So let's open this baby up and see what we're working with, like, I said, excuse my knife. My knife is storm. Trooper key- and I have to be careful with this, because I have two weeks to return it, but I already know I'm not because I'm trading in the phone that I'm recording with right now, the note, my trusty, don't knight that I've had for a long time. Let me just take these off carefully.

Okay, finally, get these uh pieces of tape off carefully, and here we go the official unboxing for me of the Galaxy Z, flip five g. The future changes shape meet your Galaxy Z flip. So you got the camera instructions just like you've, seen in other videos, all the stuff that comes in it. Oh yeah, I'm definitely going to be careful with this, so here's the actual phone, and then we have information on premiere service. Excuse my messed up band-aid, but hey! That's how it is that's how it really gets here.

So here's your adapter for charging um charging for this is 25 watts, and you can do wireless charging with this. You get some headphones that I never use. I always keep them in the box. Nothing in there, probably uh. That's it.

Wait, wait! Wait! These aren't headphones. This is just a charging cable, so no headphones, it's okay, because I never use them anyway. So that's that put this carefully back in there and let's get to the phone. Okay, let's check this out. So I have the mystic gray and I want to go for the mystic bronze, not my cup of tea, and here it is the Galaxy Z, flip 5g.

So I said the original z flip came out what five six months ago. So it's been reviewed and everything. So you already know about the crease in the middle. I can barely feel if it's my first time you can see it, you can actually see it, but I can't really feel it which is fantastic. Oh, this feels so much lighter.

I already know it's going to be a lot lighter than the uh note, 20 ultra just the feel of flipping this. This feels fantastic wow, I'm utterly I'm utterly impressed and the reason why I went for this. One is because that it can flip stand it up. It's his own stand. People said that this is a has a built-in screen protector, but I'm probably going to get another one.

Actually I already have one ordered just to protect it. Some more. I have a lot of accessories coming in, so I'm going to be doing a lot of videos on accessories. What you can do with this? How apps work on here, um flex mode uh, what apps work with flexible I'm going to be doing just a bunch of video, because, even though it's been out for a while- and this is just an updated version of what's been out- um there's not a lot of videos on it, because I mean this is not technically a brand-new phone, it's just a way of having a phone or operating a phone. I mean just, just folding.

It up is just really, really cool. It just feels perfect in your hands and with the matte finish on the back, you can already see that it's not going to be a fingerprint magnet now, of course, the screen will be so that's why? Hence, why I'm going to get a screen protector, but just seeing this phone right here in my hands and having this phone right here in my hands? It feels really light. So of course it's going to be thicker when you fold it down because that's what it does when you fold it down, it doubles it up, but it's its not cumbersome where it's going to be too fat in your pocket or too heavy in your hands, because it's folded down, it feels perfect. So I'm really, really happy right now with what's going on with this phone. So as far as the full specs on this phone, this phone weighs 183 grams or 6.446 ounces. Um the display is a dynamic AMOLED um that can display up to 16 million colors on the size when you unfold it, it's 6.7 inches top to bottom resolution on this bad boy is what 1080 by 2636 pixels um, it runs. Android 10 um has an outscore processor, the GPU or the graphics processor.

Is it arena 650? There is no expandable card slot, so your only bound by the 256 gigabytes. That's allocated in the phone of course you don't get all 256 gigabytes under some. That's used for the operating system um, but that's still more than enough for what you're going to use it for and if you really need to expand it I'll show you one of the accessories that I have. If you really want to expand the storage on here, but that'll come in a future video um. There is a small display right here where you can get a notification for uh emails or texts.

Things like that. It doesn't show full notifications. It'll just show you that you have something: you'll have to open your phone up in order to get the full notification. Um there's only one speaker. So this does not have dual speakers.

So there's no speaker grille right here, as they have been in uh most of your newer Samsung devices. So it's only a Monaco, a speaker soldiers, one direction, one speaker, that's it um, there's no 3.5 millimeter jack, but of course there is an accessory that you can get to, of course, get that if you need it, um Bluetooth is 5.0. There's GPS, there's NFC! There is no radio in here and the USB is 3.1 type-c reversible, and you can also use an on-the-go an USB if you want to connect uh certain devices such as um, an external hard drive to get apps or whatever or movies on here. This retails at price and the price is outlandish.1449. Now, like I said, with the trade-in program, I was able to trade in my note, 9 for 550 plus getting the educational discount, because I'm a teacher, I ended up getting this phone for 832 much more reasonable than fourteen hundred forty-nine dollars.

So if you've got went through the trading program before they dropped their traded prices um, then you got this for a pretty good price and believe it or not. I went one bay today and someone actually got this phone this morning, and they actually sold it for thirteen hundred dollars because I believe that they traded in the phone and then put it on, and it's of course so quickly, because that was a hundred and fifty dollars less than actual retail price, and I think the person, just you know, got some money for their trade-in and whatnot, so I feel bad for the person. Well, I don't feel that bad that person just didn't want the phone me, I'm pretty happy with what I got. Okay, just looking at the style of the phone, I'm really impressed with how they styled it. As you can see, with the light reflecting off the letters you get, the nice rainbow color effect of the letters, the name logo, which is cool dual cameras, so you got one ultra-wide and one regular they're, both 12 megapixels and the selfie camera is a 10 megapixel camera right there.

So there's your grill to listen for your phone calls. Like I said. Of course, you got your little crease uh. Some people say that it bothers them. It's not going to bother me at all because it's almost flush on the screen, so it's not going to bother me at all whatsoever.

It's not like having two monitors and having a line that defies the monitors where, where it um disrupts the uh visuals, there's your type c port on the bottom speaker microphone, it's just a nice! Looking, it's just a nice looking phone, so you can have an intent mode. You know like this, like this look at the different angles up, so you can't have it too much in an obtuse angle, so we're looking at a little wider than 90 degrees. We're saying why the 110 100 510, it's not too bad, not too bad. So it's kind of cool, that's kind of cool where you can have it at this angle, still be able to view it so having it in this particular angle. Here excuse my ashy hands.

Oh my goodness, I'm doing a lot of work today. So um, like I said having in this mode right here, you're gonna, have in the flex mode and then flexible, there's going to be certain apps that can um accommodate this particular mode. Where you have what you can see in the screen here and be able to view things or do other things on this part of the screen here. So you already know about the wonderful features I'm going to be talking more about the features as I go through this phone. Try it out, you know, put all my credentials in and see how things are already got things set up already got apps already set to install on here already got my emulator set.

I got pretty much everything in it as you can see over here. I have my accessories. Furthermore, I mean I already had accessories bought for um, galaxy's phones in the past that I've kept over the years. It's already got stuff that I've kept. Then I'm ready to use.

I already got I bought stuff um to use on here too. I got stuff that's coming in, so I'm really excited about using this phone. So there it is. There's the unboxing of the Galaxy Z, flip 5g and a great thing, even though I'm not in a big city, there is 5g connectivity available where I am. I already looked it up on the map, so I'm going to be showing you the speeds of 5g.

How fast I can download um how fast I can stream things like that. It's just I'm just really ecstatic right now, I'm so happy, finally game. So I'm about to turn this on, get it all set up so expect um a full, comprehensive review, video on this phone and expect me to show you what this phone can actually do, because the videos that were out there are out right now. Let me show you just certain things so now that I am in the owner of this home. I'm going to use this to the fullest extent and show you what it can and can't do so.

So it's a snapdragon 865 plus, so it's going to run games just as great as the node ultra. So I'm pretty happy with this.
