Galaxy Watch Battery Life + Charge Speed Test (Bluetooth)

Hi everyone Tao here I've been using the galaxy bus for a little over a week now, and I've received tons of questions on the battery life, as it is one of Samsung's main selling points for the watches. Samsung claims up to four days on the smaller 42 millimeters and up to an impressive seven days on a 46 millimeter, my battery life on the 42 millimeter. It was super underwhelming for the first charge cycle was always on display off and heart rate, monitor, said to frequent I, barely got through a day and a half and that's without wearing it to bed to utilize the sleep tracking function. Honestly I was super disappointed. Fortunately, after charging it for the second time, I did see improvements with the battery life for the last two full charges. I'm beginning around two and a half to three days of battery life.

My husband who's been using four to six millimeter galaxy watch experienced the exact same port battery on his first charge. His second charge cycle got him a little under four days, using identical settings to me to get up just clean. The battery life you'll likely have to scale down the settings quite a bit and give a lot of the smart functionality of the watch. I also did a little experiments to see how fast the watches were charged since the 46 millimeter has a much larger battery I assumed it will take much longer to charge, but the results surprised me check it out, so the 42 millimeter took 2 hours and 44 minutes to fully charge up from a dead battery, and the 46 millimeter took 2 hours and 49 minutes to fully charge. Considering the differences in battery size, I found this pretty interesting.

These watches don't charge fast by any means, so you'll likely have to put it on the charger overnight to juice. Up generally, though, I'm satisfied with 2 and a half days of battery life per charge, and I'll probably end up charging it daily. But it's nice to know that the watch can go on for a second day without charging it in case I forget I am jealous of the 46 millimeters for a day. Better life, though I'm in the process of testing the watches, fitness capabilities and a video on that should be coming out real soon, so stay tuned until the next one. Peace.
