Galaxy Note 10 (8 GB) vs Note 10+ (12 GB) - Speed Test - Does RAM Matter?

So, the Galaxy Note 10 12 gigs of RAM and the Galaxy Note 10, eight gigs of ram, and so the obvious question is: is the Galaxy Note 10 performing than the Galaxy Note 10? And that's what you're going to find out and to do that? We'll take some real-world scenarios like powering on the device, restarting playing a game or launching a game? Does the internet run faster on the Galaxy Note 10 to 10 yeah, so, basically things that we do on a daily basis? I'm going to take those, and we'll put it on both the phones and, let's see, if there's a real difference. So let's start with the most simple test, which is the power of test? Ok, so just going to hit the power buttons at the same time and then, let's see which one power is off first, okay, so that's almost at the same time, all right now, let's just switch them back on and here's where I think the Galaxy Note 10, the one with 12 gigs is actually going to perform better. In fact, I think I turned on the note, 10 plus just half a second late. But let's see if it still turns on faster okay, so then the Norton actually showed the Samsung logo before the note 10 plus. But let's just wait for the entire thing. Oh, there you go, that's a lot faster.

Actually so yeah I can see the lock screen right here, the note 10. However, it still shows the P, which is the Android Phi loading. So let me just unlock the note 10 and see: oh, it's still starting the phone up and the note 10 class is all booted up and now, let's just do a quick, restart as well and actually restarting, is different from powering off and powering on, because shutting off actually shuts off the hardware, whereas restarting does not do so. But again it shouldn't be a surprise that the note 10 plus, would be faster even in that, given the 12 gigs of RAM and yeah, there you go. The Samsung logo comes a lot faster, a lot quicker, and you see how it's different from powering off and on because over there the logo came faster on the note 10, but right now it's the note, 10 plus way ahead when it comes to restarting as well.

So when it ? powering off on an even updating firmware, the note 10 plus, would definitely be faster than the Galaxy Note.1000 comes the more intense test which is launching games. So let me just clear off all apps, so I close all of those, and now we're going to launch asphalt, 9 together, okay, so there now. Obviously you would expect that the Galaxy Note 10.1 with the lesser RAM, but so far, they're, actually pretty much the same at bar you're still loading the game. Oh, there you go almost at the same time, so ya know 10 at par with the Galaxy Note 10.1 am affects how quickly these races are loaded and so far you're actually in complete sync, not even a microsecond of a delay. That's that's very interesting, so yeah and eyes they're running off the same processors.

Both of them are running. Enos since I'm in India absolutely no lag. Alright, let's move on to Bob G and see how that performs. Okay, so the note 10 plus actually started loading a bit faster, just like fraction of a second faster but whoa, the Galaxy Note and actually had. Oh, it loaded faster than the note 10 Plus.

Interesting. Maybe you know the note 10 plus is logging in through Twitter, whereas the note 10 was logging in through Facebook, but I. Don't think that should make much of a difference, so hats off to Galaxy, Note 10-4, actually, loading faster than the note 10, plus okay, this one's an easy one, we'll just record a 4k video, so we'll open the camera, and we'll record 4k videos and put the phones I'm, just going to make sure that it's on 4k 60fps on both the phones, so that you know there's, there's no partiality yeah, just making sure so. The note 10 and the note 10 plus both of them are now at UHD 60fps, video, recording, alright, let's just go ahead and close all apps, so I'm clearing the RAM, and now I'm going to start the camera app on both the phones together. Okay, so there we go camera and video mode and record so no delay actually, so I'm, just going to fast-forward we're gonna record about 25 to 30 seconds of 4k footage and that's it, so I'm, just going to stop at about 25 26 seconds, and then we're going to go to the gallery and play back the video no lag just absolutely at bar okay, this one's an interesting one, we're going to open my Samsung notes: I've got a handwritten note of about two or three pages, and I'm going to convert that into a PDF and then email it to myself.

Okay, so, which is gonna, hit the share icon, and we're going to tap on PDF, because you know that's the conversion we want. So it's the same file on both the phones. The note 10 plus was just a tad bit faster than the note 10, and now let's hit Gmail. Okay, that's exactly the same, so no delay or any difference over there. Okay, now we're going to open a PowerPoint file which is about 600 MB in size.

So of course, I've got PowerPoint loaded on both and there we go alright, so the Norton plus was again just a fraction of a second faster than the Galaxy Note 10 and now coming to things where internet matters a bit. So I'm going to open a couple of 4k YouTube videos and see if there's a difference over there, but okay, so the Norton Plus, again tiny bit faster, so another video pretty much the same, no difference, no significant difference at least or no visible difference and third video again absolutely the same, and let's just also open some websites. Just you know to try everything now: okay, so Norton was actually a bit faster to open Amazon as well as flip card. So honestly, guys I, don't think the Galaxy Note 10 performing he better than the Galaxy Note 10. So the question being would I spend X to get the 12 gigs version as compared to the 8 gig Norton? Probably not.

If I was worried about future proofing, my phone- maybe but that's something that the test of time will reveal like I'll- have to use both these phones for a while- and you know after six months or eight months or a year, maybe is when I see that the 12 gig node 10 plus, was doing outstandingly better than the node 10. But for now the node 10 is actually pretty much almost there as a 12 gauge, node, 10, plus and sure the node 10 plus may reboot faster. It may power on faster. It may even apply software updates faster than the node 10, but those aren't things that you do every day. So it's not going to impact your overall experience with the device on a daily basis.

So again guys if you, if Ram, is a deciding factor, I, don't think it should be. The eight gigs node 10 is pretty much as good as the 12 gig node 10 plus. If that answers your question, so if you've got any questions, feel free to comment them in the section below, and thanks for watching guys, don't forget to subscribe, see you in the next one.
