CAT S62 PRO REVIEW - WILL IT SURVIVE THE FERRARI TEST?!

There are some pretty rugged smartphones that are out there today, and this is no exception. The cat s62 pro can take some serious abuse from dropping out of the window or getting run over by car you'll struggle to break this phone, even if you're trying, which is exactly what we're going to try and attempt later in the video. Not only is this an extremely rugged and waterproof phone, but it also happens to be a pretty powerful phone. So if you're, someone that finds yourself in a lot of situations where the vulnerability of your smartphone is often compromised or if you work in an industry where you could benefit from having a rugged smartphone such as construction, or maybe you're, just extremely clumsy, but you still want a powerful phone that can handle a lot of the latest apps and games, then keep watching being tough is what the cat s62 pro is all about and to ensure it can deal with anything that comes its way. It is compliant with ip68 and mil-spec 810h specifications. It is resistant to sand dust dirt and is also waterproof cat advertised.

This phone to be waterproof to up to 1.5 meters for 35 minutes, whilst also being able to withstand drops of up to 1.8 meters on steel plates upon testing. Unfortunately, I wasn't too keen the idea of testing whether this phone could be submerged lower than 1.5 meters, as I did not fancy going for a swim this time of year, but I can at least confirm it's definitely waterproof, but we did do a lot of tests to see how tough the phone is, including getting run over by Ferrari, which has survived just fine without a scratch. Multiple drops on the concrete from around 1.8 meters, a lot of throwing it down the stairs multiple times onto hardwood and concrete. Our final test involved multiple takes of dropping the phone out of a second story window, four meters onto solid concrete, which, to our surprise, it still somehow managed to survive. Although cosmetically the phone did look a little worse for wear with a few heavy scratches around the corners of the phone, but not too bad.

All things considered. All this said, of course, has not suggested that this phone is designed to be able to survive such a drop, and you will risk validating the warranty if you unfortunately do replicate it. But it's pretty fair to say that this is a pretty tough phone, and it's not going to break easily taking a look around the phone starting on the front. We have a 5.7 inch display and just above that is the 8 megapixel front-facing camera, along with the headset earpiece and sensor on the back of the phone you'll, see the dual camera setup and flash along with a conveniently placed fingerprint sensor, making it nice and easy to unlock your phone on the right hand. Side of the phone is the power button and volume keys on the left.

Is the micro, SD and sim tray along with a programmable button, and then, finally, just at the bottom, is the USB c port and main speaker with its Qualcomm snapdragon 660, two gigahertz outscore processor and six gigabytes of ram the cat s62 outperforms its rugged competitors with all the performance and efficiency. You need to run all the latest apps and to be able to multitask if you're into your mobile gaming you'll be pleased to know that we're able to run a lot of the latest game without having to switch to low graphics, you're, not gonna, have to worry about battery life, either with a huge four thousand William hour battery. That should last up to two days with average use. A generous 128 gigabytes of internal storage should be sufficient for most needs. But if you need more, the smartphone is compatible with memory cards of up to 256 gigabytes.

The 5.7 in full HD plus display is bright and clear to read in any conditions with 1080 by 2160 pixel resolution. Corning gorilla, glass, 6 protect the display panel, reducing the rest of scratches and minor aberrations with the glove and wet finger mode, ensuring you can keep working in a variety of conditions. The main camera on the cat 62 pro is not the exciting one here, but the 12 megapixel camera still does a great job at capturing a lot of detail with great colors when there's a good light source. Although it does struggle a little in low light compared to a lot of other phones at a similar price point, but this camera is still going to perform well for ordinary use and is great for taking pictures of friends, family and holidays upon testing. I was actually pretty surprised how well the photos came out.

I found the results to be sharp and vibrant perfectly usable for most needs, but the exciting one here is the Fleur thermal imaging camera. This is a popular feature on the previous cat, s60 and s61. So as you'd expect, cat has improved upon this capability. To this end, cat has incorporated the Fleur lepton 3.5 professional grade sensor into the cat f62 pro without having a measurable grade of minus 20 degrees Celsius to 400 degrees Celsius and a 400 increase on the number of temperature pixels. It can output a 14 by 40 by 1080 HD output with the vivid IR and features a mix linear overlay on the visual card.

Now, for most people out there might not be a lot of need for a thermal camera, but it's still quite fun to play around with. To summarize, if you need a rugged smartphone, but don't want the compromise of having basic hardware, the cat s62 pro could be your ultimate work phone at the time of recording the cat. S62 pro is currently available, sim free from clove technology for 594 pounds, including the 80.
