We post on this channel. We will find a playlist exclusively for galaxy elective, be sure to check it out. The ability to control phones, camera by your Smartwatch is a very handy feature and can have a number of functional implications.
So today, I'll be reviewing the camera control app developed by Samsung Electronics, which is absolutely free and is now available to download for various Ti zen OS smartwatches, like the Galaxy watch active, the newer galaxy watch, active 2 and others I'm sure Samsung will now start, including this app as a default app like other apps such as the gallery, calculator, music and all the other default app. Now just so, you know there are other paid and free third-party apps to control your phone's camera, which is not the objective of today's video. This is an app developed by Samsung himself for the Ti zen smartwatches, so I personally think that this will be a better one. Then other apps, as Samsung, can roll out updates to make the experience more fluid and comfortable with multiple smartwatches and smartphones, but I'll be discussing both positive and negative point about this particular app today. So to download this app open the gear variable app on android or iOS device.
Just so you know you can even download this app right from your watch by searching the key camera on the galaxy app store. Now click the galaxy store, then in the search bar type, the keyword, camera, and you will find this camera control app developed by Samsung Electronics and, as you can see, this was recently introduced in September 2019. Now, let's go ahead and open the app on the watch and get into the meat of this video. As soon as you open the app it will open the camera app on your smartphone right away, even if it's locked, which is really nice, just make sure your watch is connected to your smartphone. Now you will get live feed from your camera by default.
It will start from what you have set on the camera like the rear, camera or front-facing camera video or photo mode on the screen. You get options to trigger a photo or a video as well as timer on and off button. Once you click that timer. The countdown will be what you have set on your phone. In my case, it's 5 seconds.
If you want to change it, you have to actually go on to your phone. What I really like about this app is that the connection is seamless without any interruption. The app instantly opens the camera app on the phone. Unlike the other free control, camera control app, it does not lag and take too long to load the camera or to view the taken pictures. Once you trigger a picture, you will get the preview right away.
Anyways. Let me show you, you can't zoom the taken picture with pinch zoom in and out. It shows the taken picture on the left-hand side of the trigger button. The other cool part is, you can manually focus the object by touching on the screen, which will be very handy when you are taking a group picture. The same manual focus can also be done in the video mode and, lastly, this F does not require any partner app.
Most of the free camera app requires a partner app to be installed on your Android device, which does not always work and most of the time the partner apps are paid. Now, in terms of the downside to this F, which I'm sure Samsung will fix it in the upcoming updates are to change the rear-facing to front-facing camera. It does not work all the time, but sliding the finger from edge of the screen to the center of the screen. Sometimes triggers the camera switch, and it sometimes does not work. Keep in mind.
You can do it from the mobile app if the Smartwatch app does not work. This is something that can be fixed in later updates. The other issues is to change between modes like video and camera mode. You have to do it from the mobile app, but once done it just works great. Let me show you I, guess: I'm not able to play the recorded video, because I do not have a video player app on my galaxy watch active, but if it works for you guys, please let me know in the comments down below certain features are not supported by the watch app like hyperlapse, slow motion, super slow motion, panorama and food which it does make sense.
As for all these modes, you have to move the camera physically, except for food and hyperlapse, so that can be fixed in later up. It's. The other features that I wish sanction could have included our button to switch between rear-facing and front-facing camera, a button to switch between video and photo mode zoom in and out feature and, more importantly, flash on and off feature all this can be included in the app options. In my opinion, which then will make this app the best camera app and enhance the Smartwatch experience. Let me know what do you think and also if there are any other features, you would like to see in the comments down below finally to wrap this video up.
I will say that this is my personal favorite. Camera control, app I have tried other few free apps, but most of them are slow. Leggy some needs a partner app and does not work, always unlike this one. So this is the best free camera app and, more importantly, it's developed by Samsung itself. So you can expect improvements which hopefully they do, because, if you're looking for deals on this watch, and it's accessories, please check the links in the description down below and make sure to follow us on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Pinterest links are in the description.
