Blackberry KEYone Review After One Week

What's up guys this is, will, and I'm back with another video, and today I have my one week. Look back our look at the BlackBerry key one. Now, I'll pick this up about a week ago, and I've been using it as my main phone have my sim card in this from that day and I just want to go over what I think about the keyboard after using it for a week, that's my daily driver, and I'll just tell you what I think about it, what I like and what I don't like about it and first off I, want to say that this I really like this phone. This is a great phone I'm, not disappointed by from buying it, don't have buyer's remorse, I'm ready to satisfy with the phone, but that doesn't mean that the phone is perfect by far, so I'm gonna talk about some of the things I dislike about it first, and then I'll get into some of the stuff that I like about it. Ok, the first thing that I don't like about this phone. Is this phone freezes that'll freeze on you, if you're in the middle of doing something it'll just freeze up and what I'll have to do is turn the power off turn it back on, and it seems to work fine after that, but it freezes, and it freezes frequently now I, don't know if there's something they can correct with a software update or something like that.

But that's one thing: I don't like about it that lags as far as slack on it. I don't have a lot of lags on the phone, because I don't run a lot of apps in the background, so say, for instance, if I'm in the browser right here, I have a little lag with this strolling key where you can scroll using the keypad, it's not too smooth. Of course, it's going to act right now, because we're filming but uh forest opening, apps up and things of that nature. I, don't like with that and I may be. It may be a little slow, but it's not unbearable from lack.

You know, so, a little of lag, but not not enough dipped above a deal. Breaker, so the freezing part of it, that's one thing: I, don't like the second thing: I, don't like are these on stream buttons right here? These buttons can be annoying if you're, trying to use this to stroll just like I was showing you within safe, say you're within an app, and you're trying to use them to stroll you constantly going to hit these little buttons right there and that gets annoying I wish they would've done did that a different way with those buttons on there, but and and what I've done is to kind of train myself to get in between sell them on the website. Let's go back into the browser here and if I want to stroll I kind of get in between the two buttons right there and teach yourself to do that. That way, you don't hit you don't hit. The button says that's often, but you should, you know you shouldn't have to do that.

You should be able to use it and not not hit those buttons all the time. The speaker speaks on this phone. Is it's okay, but it's not it's not it's not real loud, especially when you're trying to use the speakerphone or you playing your music or something it's not. It's not a very loudspeaker on it, at least not my phone anyway. So the power button, sometimes this power button can be annoying most my phone's phone.

The power button is on this side. So a lot of times I'll hit my convenience key and I have my convenience key set up, but a flashlight right here, and you know that's just. It gets a little noise sometimes, but since I've had it about a week now, I've kind of got myself convinced to know that it's on this side right here and one of the last things that I can think of just from the one-week accessory. It's not not a lot of accessories for the phone, because it's you know it's pretty new, and it's just not a lot accessory. So you got to know that when you buy it stuck and that's about all the things I can think about I dislike about it.

So far and like I said, you got to know what you're getting when you get this type of phone. Also, you're losing some of your screen real estate for the keyboard, but I'll get into that and a little a little later. So some of the things that I do like about it, I do like to convenience key you can assign this key to any app that you want out there anything you want to do. You can assign that that key, and it works great too- that might set up for the flashlight, because I use my flashlight quite a bit so with the convenience key. If you're worth in a call- and you want to mute the mute, the call all you have to do is press the convenience keys once, and it'll mute it until you through I, do like the fact of the battery this matter it in this phone I can't kill it in days time, I'm averaging five: five and a half six hours battery life, every time, I'm gonna charge on it and that's using a pretty heavy.

You know the first week, or so you get your phone you using it quite a bit, so I just can't kill a phone, and its quick charge also so when it does go down, they have that boost charge. I like that a lot also I like the bill cloud when you're holding this phone, you feel like you, you know you feel like you hold or something here, and it's kind of thick as you can see, but it just was very well-made. I know I, hear I heard a lot of rumors about the stream popping off different things of that nature, but I haven't had any of those problems. My keyboard works. Fine, like I said it just feels the bill feels good on it.

The screen is a little smaller for my taste before what I've been using the phone for this is not a media, you know if you're watching, you can do YouTube and stuff like that on it, but it's not really designed for that. You talk about a 4.5 inch stream, but as far as using it for your Facebook, Twitter, Email and stuff like that, then this phone is great for that. So, if you look at it for a media to make it a media consumption device- and no you don't need to get this one. Let's see what else I got here: I like the keyboard. Now, if you're looking for a physical keyboard, then this is the probably only option out there with it built nowadays, so I mean Samsung.

You can get the one that you clip on there and there may be some other ones out there with it with a physical keyboard, but I'm not I'm, not aware of them, but this is now it is. It is a little cramp right here, but over the week that I've used it I've really got used to using it. And you know your muscle memory just comes in, and I do like all the shortcuts that you have safest. If I want to text my wife, a short press that and them right there in it, and I'm texting away too or right there, I can also assign that a long press, and it'll actually dial her number. If I want it to do that.

Now, if you, if you just dead, set on you, I'm tired of using this physical keyboard, you do also have a virtual keyboard and there I am on the virtual keyboard right there, and you still have the excuse me. The same flick feature right there to flick your words up, and so that works pretty good, so I really like the keyboard and the endless options that you have for setting up things on it and shortcuts and stuff like that. So awesome the keyboard is, is if you go by this, it's mainly because of the keyboard. So, but there's endless you know, I got my wife set up, go right into YouTube if I want, as you can see, that opens things up pretty good check out my videos. I have Appleton comparison of this.

The iPhone and Samsung Galaxy S7 edge, and you'll see that it kind of holds it on quite a bit, but those have you know they're a little faster, I am certain tiny. This is that so slow where you don't want to don't want to use it. So I got that if I want to go right into the browser, push and hold be and now back into the browser so endless shortcuts. You can set up with your keyboard on it then I like that, a lot. So the things you can go black bear has you know where you can go in and get your download your icon packs I have my hub.

Let me move it off. Camera right-click make sure blowing nobody up on here phone numbers, but, as you can see, I have the dark theme for my hub right here and if I go back into my app draw, you can see that I have that as a dark theme. Also, it came. It was like when it came, so you have that option to do that, and also speaking of the hub, the hub is not unique. Only to blackberry any more I have it on some of my other phones, but the hub is where you can aggregate your text messages, your social media notifications, you're messaging, your emails and all that stuff into one area.

Where you know you can just have all that in one area, and you don't have to have separate apps to get into it. So, but it's good! It's not like I said it's not only for blackberry anymore. You can go in the app store and pick that up the fingerprint sensor. Scanner on here. This is awesome man, it works.

It's really fast. Just lay your finger on it, you don't have to press it's your space bar, you don't have to press on it or anything, just let your finger on it. This is superfast man, as you can see right there I really like that about it. Let me see what else I got here. That's just that's about it.

I mean this is my first week of using it, and it's been pretty good, so far, I like it. This also has features like double tap to wake and double tap put it just put it asleep. You also have a flip to mute. If you want to mute your phone all of a sudden, you can tap your power key twice, you're, going right until your caramel and speaking about the cameras. This has great cameras on it.

The back camera takes excellent pictures that doesn't have image stabilization on it, but it tastes nice crisp, pictures that come out real good and the front-facing camera is pretty good. Also take some excellent pictures as well. So, oh, it has a few features like that on it's not going to be featured packed like your Samsung's, and you know other phones of that nature, and this and this stuff- it's not stuff that those phones don't have. But you know for the price of this saying: 545 50 I still think that's a little steep on it, but someone that needs a physical keyboard and to have those added features like that on it and the endless things you can assign your keyboard. For then that may be a great price for someone like that.

For me, I think I, really like it. It's there's something that's different when you get tired of use as a slave phone all the time you got this. This is different people going to look at it, wow man. What is that? That's a new blackberry, a lot of people don't leave. No black bear still has phones out there, they're not they're, not making them, but they still have a phone with their name on it.

So yeah man, that's my one week. Look at the BlackBerry key one I, really like it, I'm going to stick with it, and I'll get back to make another video within you know, maybe a couple of weeks or so see how it's going, but so far, I like it, and thanks for watching guys sketch on the next video.
