Blackberry (BB) Stock News Analysis | Department of Defense + SolarWinds By LEYA

Hello, welcome back to finance, live bailey your source for daily financial news and analysis, and they're doing a little update on blackberry, ticker, symbol, BB uh. This stock is down in roughly six percent in today's market. It's around 12.21 cents per share. This is, despite you, know, a huge retail frenzy and HFC activity that you know, I think, got it up to 25 per share, and now it has steep decline. It's sort of consolidated around 12 dollars per share um, and this is despite some recent news that has been you know, pretty, pretty solid. In fact, today, blackberry is a constantly releasing news.

It's actually incredible, and I want to make sure I'm updated on every single specific new segment that comes out, and today they were, they were called best in breed for their blackberry, Jarvis platform. Obviously, I think that's inspired by Iron Man. Uh, of course, leave a like. If you really think that this information is good, it's valuable, uh backward Jarvis, a software composition, analysis tool has been recognized as best in breed by the internal research and development project. The analysis was conducted on behalf of the United States.

Department of defense by the aerospace corporation recommends the most proficient binary analysis, solutions on the market for embedded software, citing blackboard drivers as the most promising and robust after rigorous assessment for key players. In fact, this is so substantial and the reason for this was that uh there are a number of regulatory changes in standards such as WP, 29 and software, build of materials coming into effect, which will empower authorities to levy fines against non-compliance or shutdown operations completely right. The first step to mitigating these risks is the ability to inspect all the code that comes from suppliers into your supply chain and environments where safety and security are paramount. It is not economically feasible to manually inspect all 30 third-party binary files to ensure that the quality of multi-tier software supply chain is met. This is very important as a result of its extensive vulnerability coverage and superior test performance.

Blackberry Jarvis appears to be the ideal single 204 embedded platforms. Once again, they also have embedded platform suites. So it's this kind of tool uh provides. I guess much a recurring revenue stream uh for their specifics' security side embedded software side. We are honored to be recognized as best in breed in this report.

We understand the need to iterate and develop uh sorry iterate and deliver software rapidly with blackberry, Jarvis tasks that would take upwards of a month to complete can now be automatically rendered remedied within minutes. Incredible, so blackberry Jarvis is that tool. Uh software composition, analysis for embedded systems. They have an embedded system. It works in unison with that platform, which is fantastic, let me just make this a little more clear here.

Um there we go. Let's continue on with the video here. As a result, the coverage superior test performance. This is, I think, you know existing platform, it's a good platform, and I think this is very important that they start to be recognized, especially by government agencies, as you know, best in class for their solutions, especially testing for vulnerabilities and even the exposure becomes. You know very extensively important and because of what's been happening recently was uh solar winds, for example, the ordeal that happened there um Microsoft reveals new deal.

This is just today. Microsoft reveals new details about suffocated, sophisticated mega breach. I think, from a software engineer perspective, it's probably fair to say that this is the largest and most sophisticated attack. The world has ever seen: brad smith, the president of Microsoft, incredible solar, solar winds, a sophisticated cyberattack, and I do in fact believe that uh, so many uh agencies were you know in inflicted by this cyberattack, but blackberry was not, which is incredible because they have defense contracts. They have countries with different U.

S. organizations with governmental and, of course, private institutions, so they were able to. I guess not for whatever reason uh they were not. They were maybe protected by the emotional attacks. I don't in fact know the details, but it seems like blackberry was able to mitigate or completely avoid any of these attacks.

That did in fact happen. Solar winds are reflecting on its security practices. Yes, solar winds and acknowledges the need for changes following the 2020 breach. The firm's new CEO uh wrote in a recent blog that solar winds is urgently adding security controls and working to evolve a secure by design company. So obviously, security is becoming exceptionally important and to have tools that uh buy the best reputable agencies on the planet, the U.

S. department of defense, the aerospace corporation. They are in fact telling these institutions that blackberry has a best-in-breed solution to provide you with an automated uh platform that you know inspects all the code that comes from suppliers in your supply chain. Well, here you know it's no longer an economically feasible for them to be able too manually. Do these things it has to be done.

Uh with some sort of solutions like this. Some sort of analysis tool and what looks like Jarvis is one of the best in class solutions uh for the beta systems, market, um, incredible, of course, uh. France also got like a cyberattack. It seems like the US continues to charge the damage from solar winds. According to a-n-s-s-I, sophisticated hacker group successfully penetrated the centurion systems product, a French it firms specializing in network and system monitoring that is used by many French government agencies, as well as some of the nation's biggest companies.

I think that we shall see, I suspect, because of all these different government institutions being hacked uh extensively by you know these this malware, these malicious attacks by hackers and so forth. I don't understand all the necessary details, I'm not a'm, not a know, I'm not a cybersecurity expert by any means, but it seems like there needs to be a world in class solutions that are brought to security experts that enable solutions that obviously are connected the world together, but in a way that's extremely secure and blackberry seems to be at least pushing that initiative with their blackberry, Jarvis their system being called best in breed. This is fantastic news on that front, I'm very, very happy that blackberry Jarvis was received. This name. I think this will be hopefully accredited into the future.

As you know, more industries, more institutions, maybe utilize this tool, um even more or even within uh, their suite of platforms. Now I don't imagine blackberry Jarvis on its own right to be a very, very let's say, revenue platform, but I think, as a blackberry develops a strong brand as a really secure brand, and it continues to do so into the future with its tools with its development and how it utilizes artificial intelligence to really secure those endpoints and secure embedded systems. It can really, you know, mean a different kind of uh brand for blackberry, where it's it hence touches. You know the world of data and some relevant aspect. You know it's already: 175 million vehicles it's already being utilized in all these different trading partnerships.

We've of course seen blackberry expand with partnership with vita to power, next generation autonomous driving technology. We're seeing this happen right before our eyes, blackberry, q, x, black channel communications, to be used in motional drivers platform every almost every few days, they're releasing some recent use regards to blackberry being utilized with strategic partnerships for autonomous driving by government agencies and so forth, and what we really do in fact need from an institution. Right now is an ability to be able to securely transfer data safely, especially with these high-risk uh vehicles and the regulatory environment that we're in right. The matter matches the compliance standards. Imagine the restrictions that have to be put in place to get these uh solutions to the market right um to get driverless platforms to the market.

It's exceptionally important to be able to have it be extremely secure that the applications that are in that are added developed are met with heavy scrutiny that every compliance standard is met from a legal standpoint and of course, especially when information is being transmitted not only within cities, but within countries and all across the world, as information is, is constantly being sort of uh changed. It's extremely crucial and important to have a secure network for these things to in fact exist and thrive, and it seems like, with this kind of standard or with blackberry, Jarvis being named best in breed. I think if it's just one more key news, one more key, uh insight that enables them to hopefully build their brand as a software service provider in the cybersecurity sector in a meaningful, intelligent way um. But I think blackberry's vision is uh. I think they're really making an effort to secure a connected future that they that we can trust- and you know it seems like that- makes a lot of sense, and you know I'm happy for what they're doing.

I want to see more information. Of course, I want to see their balance sheet into the future from an investment standpoint, and we shall see they beat in fact the last four quarters, which of course was fantastic. Despite that, I mean they're, try, they've traded, you know very rapidly. I don't know how they're being traded right now the numbers are on 12 dollars per share. It went off I'll cover that the stock around five six dollars per share.

They also have the 80 bus deal a bunch of different deals in the book. Sony deal all these different deals that seem to be pretty substantial, but also it does matter what that will mean for their business. I really do want to see soft the software sector from revenue standpoint increased by 20 to 30 percent by the end of this year. I need to see those numbers happen, especially when they're getting you know. The brand is being built like this from different institutions, shaping them like that with different partnerships, the name going out the public and blackberry is really I mean honestly.

From my perspective. I don't know if this is just me, but this is my opinion on this. I think BLA. Furthermore, I no longer see blackberry much so much as a phone company anymore, a smartphone provider. Furthermore, I really do see blackberry now, as a security platform for our for electric vehicles, uh, smart cities and the like.

Furthermore, I really, I really do see this as a security company, a cybersecurity company, an electric vehicle, a software provider. It's its to me. It's a lot different now, and it's really changed my perspective on blackberry completely. With reading all this new information with seeing how much it already has developed. It's really remarkable, and I think that oh, I think that these products are needed.

Um, but, of course, we'll see what that means from their. You know, balance sheet perspective, the revenue perspective and how much they can actually keep growing a given success that they've already currently had, and their balance sheet already is where it is uh we shall see I'm I expect big things from blackberry, I'm you know I'm overall long-term on blackberry. I can't tell you: what's going to happen in the near term from the stock price, and you know it's going, it went up substantially, it might go down substantially. I don't really know uh, it's a very volatile market, and you know price uh, there's a lot of liquidity everywhere in the market and trying to find a home. Blackberry was one of them and then it dropped.
