ASUS ROG PHONE 5 - Unboxing - 16GB RAM By MildFact

Hey, what's going on malt here today, we're going to unbox, the new ASUS rock phone five. This is the European uh version in the black colorway, with 16 gigs of ram and 256 gigs of rum and yeah. Without any further ado. Let's go and open this boy um. I got this from a German reseller. I bought it myself actually for a quite hefty price tag.

Furthermore, I paid about 1000 euros for this one. It's really not that cheap, but you can already see that in a lot of reviews or tests that this boy is not cheap, unfortunately, but yeah. The packaging. This time is quite simple, um more simple than the last rock form versions. Uh looks pretty dope actually looks like a quick, comic, um, stylish setup, no idea who this guy is and so on, uh for those who dare um in a text with an as rock phone logo or a republic of gamers logo on the top again, I'm going to put the device aside for a minute.

I want to show you guys what else comes with in the box. So um, that's the quick rundown as it seems like launch. Ammo crate and console to scan an r cartoon, no idea what really that does look like there's a cartoon, especially for the rock phone in some way um. This seems to be the big and beefy um fast charging or wall adapter, the um German one at least and yeah waste. Quite a bit with b type c, that's um, the braided wispy type c, to type c charging cable um.

This seems to be a like: a lid to close down the ports on the side of the device and yeah. Basically, that's that and that's some glue, which is really cheaply made wow. That's really sad to see on a quite a big price tag, really uh yeah, whatever we're going to put that aside again and let's look into what we have in that booklet, different ASUS rock stickers. What's that looks like your information about the device itself, quick information about the number of serial numbers of the device, a kinda large manual in different languages, just like in the last year we do have a. I wouldn't even really call that a case, but I think it is a case, at least for aces.

I don't really see a point in such cases as the protection is quite minimal. Um, it's I mean like almost it's. A frame, kinda yeah protection is for me quite minimal. I don't really like um those cases but yeah. It's also quite cheaply made really, really easy.

Bendable, the flex is big in here. I don't know for a thousand euros. I would really expect a little more. Furthermore, I don't like that. Now, lets um go to the best part of this unboxing, the device itself, so the device comes again in a quite normal plastic packaging and again this year the rock phone itself is quite heavy.

I didn't really measure how heavy it is on the back. That's a little different, I'm going to start from the display here for this I'm going to turn it on. Let's see, yeah, I'm gonna start from the display here, as you guys can see. Uh we don't have any notch, so that's um, something which I like a selfie uh camera. It seems like no idea what megapixels it is.

I have just read that the megapixels should be similar to the last rock version. Alrighty, I'm going to turn down the volume for a minute, so yeah, let's go to the top here. The top is blank. I think, on this side we do have a microphone um area on the left side, there's the obligatory rock phone hub, where you can charge while the game and equip your accessory like the fan and so on, and this area is for your sim card with a red accent: let's go to the button or downwards of the device. We do have an offset with the type c charging port with a headphone jack area.

On the right side, we do have, I think, at the microphone again the power button, which is in a reddish accent, the volume up and down buttons and again our air triggers. When we go in the back of the device um, we have the same camera setup as we had on the azure rock phone three, but the back is quite different from the last version. It seems to be like a display in some sort, AMOLED display, and I will go into detail on my other tests and so on, but this seems to be um, something which I should like. As always.
