Hey everyone what's up how's it going hope. You are good in this video we're going to be unboxing the Apple Watch SE. This is the first Apple Watch I have ever bought. I decided to go for the Apple Watch SE because it is the more affordable of the new apple watches. While it looks great, it seems to be amazing. I always thought it was super expensive.
So, like I said, this is my first ever Apple Watch. So let's open it up. Let's take a look so as I unbox the Apple Watch, SE, let's just go through some main specs, the main features. What we can find in this watch. The watch features the same design as the Apple Watch Series 6, which is the more advanced version of this watch.
It's also powered by the same processor, and it features the same high resolution. Retina display. The dimensions of the Apple Watch is 44 millimeters by 38 millimeters by 10.4 millimeters thick. It only weighs 36.4 grams. The retina OLED display has a maximum brightness of 1 000 nits, which is very high compared to other smartwatches.
The size of the screen is 1.78 inches, and it has a 60 screen to body ratio. The resolution of the screen is 448 pixels by 368 pixels, with a pixel density of 326 PPI. It features 32 gigabytes of internal memory and one gigabyte of ram for tracking health and fitness. It features an accelerometer, a gyroscope, a second generation heart rate sensor, a barometer, an altimeter and a compass. Furthermore, it also features a speaker and a microphone.
You have the option of getting a wireless version or a version that can connect to LTE mobile internet. It also features internal GPS and NFC. Okay, guys, so I've been wearing the Apple Watch SE for a couple of hours. Now I thought I would just have a proper go with it, because this is a slightly more advanced smartwatch than I am used to. I'm used to kind of having these cheaper smartwatches that are slightly more basic with fewer features.
This is really my first full smartwatch experience, especially with an apple product. So I'm excited to see if it's actually worth it if it's worth the hype, if it's worth the extra money, so the difference between the Apple Watch SE and the full Apple Watch Series six, which is two of both of them, are the newest smartwatches from apple the series. Six has a sp02 tracker and an ECG app. So it can monitor that side of your health. It's more advanced health monitoring, but for me both of those things are a little gimmicky in my opinion, particularly the ECG app.
I don't really think anyone or basically most people who are fit and healthy are not going to need to take an ECG from their smartwatch every day. So I really don't personally see the point in that, or I'm, but certainly not going to miss it, and I'm certainly not going to spend more money just to have that the spo2 tracker is probably slightly more useful. It can monitor your blood oxygen saturation level, which can indicate the health of your lungs and how um yeah healthy you are in general, but again this can be a little gimmicky. It depends on how accurate it is. Furthermore, it depends on how often it takes the reading.
I have spo2 trackers on my other smartwatches, and I've never really seen the point in using it. I've never really missed it when they're not there. The only other difference is that the Apple Watch Series 6 hasn't always on display, whereas the SE is an it doesn't have an always on display. You can see that turning off when I'm not looking at it, but it turns on automatically really quickly and um really responsively. Whenever I know raise my wrist to look at it.
So for me again that is not a dealbreaker. Those are literally the only differences um they use the same processor. They use the same. Retina display, they're the same size and yeah you pretty much have access to all the same apps and technology. So for me, I think this might be a perfect value smartwatch for someone who wants that super premium experience that apple brings, but without the massive large price of these smartwatches.
That is not to say that the Apple Watch SE is cheap. It is still the most expensive smartwatch I have, and it isn't cheap for what it is. It's a watch, and it's you know it is expensive, but for what it does, it could be great value, which is more what I'm interested in so my first impressions of the watch are really quite good. I mean it is definitely the best looking smartwatch I've ever had. It is just really sleek stylish, the metal silver.
I got the silver version, it just looks so good. The display is so bright and super responsive, very sharp. It's the retina display, which I believe is just AMOLED. I think it's just an AMOLED display, but they have their own little buzzwords. Don't they apple like to invent their own little things like? I said: I'm used to these watches that have everything pre-built in that don't have access to app stores, but obviously this has access to Apple's app store.
So I will have to see if it's actually worth it, if there's actually any useful apps there and all these other features that come with the watch. Um I mean it's got the voice assistant, and I've been trying out. Let's have a look and see so just press this button open the weather sure I understand all right chill out open the weather app, and it did it yay open heart rate, and it's doing it yay so yeah. This has a 24 7 heart rate, monitor, which is basically what it's going to be mostly useful to monitor your health and fitness, and it has the accelerometer. So it comes your steps.
It has an internal GPS, can measure your distance speed and where you're going your location, all that kind of stuff. So that is basically what I'm trying to do. I'm trying to see if this more expensive, but still seemingly good value Apple Watch, can is it worth spending the extra money compared to these cheaper smartwatches that I have from um amaze, fit and Huawei that kind of try and copy the Apple Watch, but are just a lot cheaper. Then again, all of these watches still have heart rate. Monitors still have um, some of them have spo2 trackers.
You know many of the same health and fitness tracking features, but they don't have all the other stuff like an app store or um the really bright, clear screen and that kind of premium quality build you get from apple. So that is what I'm trying to work out. So if you are interested in finding out stay tuned because I will be doing some comparisons and seeing if the Apple Watch is actually worth spending that extra bit of money, I would also say the watch is so comfortable. It's so light. This strap that I got its kind of like a fabric and it's so comfortable.
There are so many straps different colors different materials you can buy. So I guess that's it guys. That is my unboxing and first impressions of the Apple Watch SE, but I tend to focus on the cheaper 100 to 200 watches that um. I try and find the best value and the best accuracy and the best things for fitness tracking all that kind of stuff. So I guess we'll see if it's worth it if it's worth spending the extra money and if you are interested in finding out the same thing, stay tuned because I'll be doing a full review of the Apple Watch, SE in the next uh, I guess within the next week, or so, and also some comparisons with those other watches that I mentioned um but yeah.
Until then, if you have any questions, feel free to. Let me know in the comments- and I will get back to you, or I'll answer them in my next video but yeah. Until then. I hope you have a good one. Stay safe, stay, healthy, I'll, see you next time, bye.
