APPLE WATCH SE (Biggest Frustrations & Best Features after 1 Month of Daily Use)

So, one month ago, apple came out with a brand-new Apple Watch, SE, and in the first month there was a lot of excitement around this watch for its low price point and its excellent features being that it's almost indistinguishable from the Apple Watch Series, six for the most part, and yet it's selling at under 280, which is closer in price to the series 3. Now. This gives a lot of people the opportunity to buy an Apple Watch who would otherwise just not be able to afford one, but now that it's been one month, it's time to step away from what this watch can do on the spec sheets and start talking about what it's actually like to use on a day-to-day basis. Now I've been wearing the Apple Watch see very day for the past month, and I found some things that were both good and bad. So in this video I'm going to break down my favorite features and the biggest drawbacks I found after wearing the Apple Watch SE for a month now, I'm going to break this down into kind of pro con layout and keep in mind. This is just based on my own experiences.

So every you know each of these might bother different people more or less so comment down below and let me know if you've been wearing the Apple Watch SC. What your favorite and least favorite features are about the watch now getting into it. I want to start off with the first drawback I found when I'm going for runs, which is going to be a big part of wearing this watch for a lot of people, it's great for tracking fitness, but I found that it's not quite a complete package, so it has almost everything I need, but it's missing one big thing: that's really bothering me! So when you run you have GPS, you have heart rate. You have a great display that tells you know how long you've been working out. You can keep tabs on everything you can.

Even listen to music on here with earbuds, but the drawback is you, don't have offline Spotify, and I know it has offline apple, music and things like that. But realistically I and I know a lot of other people use Spotify, and it's just such a big drawback to not be able to use my own playlist and stuff like that without having my phone, and so I find that I end up running with my phone, which again kind of defeats the purpose of what I really wanted. This watch to do so that's a huge drawback there. If you have Apple Music, it's not a big deal at all and maybe eventually they'll come out with a Spotify player on your Apple Watch, but at least for now that's certainly a drawback now getting over to the first pro. I want to talk about just keeping things really simple.

The Apple Watch is a pretty mature watch. We see so many other smartwatches out there that just really struggle to do basic stuff and being that this watch is just so well-developed by now. You don't have any problems with that. The speaker quality the microphone quality, the Siri functionality, all of it's going to work really well on this watch, and I find that overall, everything that this watch claims it can do. It does really well.

It has almost no issues with that, and so the interface on here is going to be a huge plus and overall, the infrastructure again is just it's not going to be very buggy at all, and this goes all the way down to even the little nuances as well. For example like if I'm texting somebody every time, I get a notification, it doesn't ding on my watch right away unless I'm not looking at my phone, so it notifies me on my phone and then, if I don't reply to that within a couple seconds, it notifies me on my watch, which I like that it's not going to just bombard me with notifications, like it's the little things like that. That apple really does right, with their watches now shifting back over to a drawback with this watch. While a lot of these sensors are pretty accurate, and I'll talk a little more on that later on. In the video I found that some things were surprisingly weird like it did a good job of knowing how many staircases or flights of stairs I went up in a day, but the stand hours.

So, if you look at your rings for the day, you have three different rings. One of them. I believe it's, the blue one is going to be your stand hours. How many hours in the day did you stand up or were you sitting for the entire hour, and I found that this is not especially accurate, while sometimes it does a decent job, and it can get close enough. I have a standing desk, so I pretty much stand all day every day.

Occasionally I sit down, but I know that how many standing hours I should have per day and a lot of times it's off by maybe one or two or three hours, not that that's going to matter that much for everybody and, of course, it's going to be relatively difficult for my watch to know if I'm standing or sitting being that my desk is already elevated, but still it's a metric. That apple chose to make one of your three most important, metrics of the day being in your health rings, and yet it's not the most accurate one out there and getting back to a positive note here. Something apple does really well specifically on your phone. Is it syncs really well between different watches? So I have the SC and I have the six, and I've been going between them a little during the month wearing sometimes, two watches at once and Apple does an excellent job of knowing which one you're using and synchronizing everything between the two watches. So if I get a new app on one watch, it'll show up on the other watch, it's something that I really like having, especially when they're all under the same account.

Obviously now I'm sure a lot of you might be wondering if you're buying the Apple Watch SC, it's so much cheaper than the six. But what are act like what are the differences and do they matter on a day-to-day basis, and that was something I was kind of keeping an eye on and observing over this month. So the two big differences that you're missing on the Apple Watch SC. Well, three big differences. The first one is the ECG and I found that the ECG is something that I personally did not miss being younger and healthier, and I don't have any heart problems like.

I just never use an ECG. If I wasn't wearing a watch, I wouldn't worry about that and then, when I am wearing a watch, you know when you first get an ECG on your watch. You're excited you, try it out once or twice, but after you see that every single time it just says sinus rhythm, and it's totally normal. I don't use that feature so in the entire month of using this. I didn't miss that feature.

Even when I was wearing the Apple Watch 6. I barely ever used that feature other than just to test it out and see how the feature worked. Then. The second thing you're missing is blood. Oxygen measuring this is something that again, I didn't really miss that much, but in some situations I did miss it so, for example, in sleep tracking, it is really nice to have that, so it can more accurately track your sleep and break down the different cycles or different parts of your cycle.

You are in, and I'll mention sleep tracking a little later on in the video, but then the third thing that you're missing on this Apple Watch. Se here is going to be the high-end processor that you're getting the chip that you're getting on the Apple Watch 6. So this one has the same processor as the 5, but, realistically speaking, it's still really fast. I didn't notice any kind of sluggishness when opening apps like nothing is slow on this watch. It works very well, it's very fast and for most people you probably won't notice the difference in speed from this processor to the Apple Watch 6.

So, looking at those three things, a lot of people would be very happy with the SE. Instead of the Apple Watch 6, which after wearing this for a month, I can say is a huge pro about this watch. It's somewhat, you know much better price and still doing everything that I was looking for now getting to a drawback. What I, what I was missing was the spo2 sensor, the blood oxygen measuring when you're doing when you're, when you're sleeping. So I found that the sleep monitoring on this is almost useless, at least with the native app here it tells you like when you fell asleep and when you woke up and that's kind of it, it really doesn't tell you much more than that and considering that so many other watches out there as cheap as 50, are able to do this in a much better fashion, and they're able to really break down every part of your sleep cycle and give you a nice digestible, sleep score to tell you how well you slept like this watch, not doing that.

I think is kind of a weird corner that apple cut. So if you're worried about your sleep tracking, which honestly is one of my favorite features about smartwatches, it's definitely a big drawback here, not getting great analytics on that, because personally, I like to be able to test different things and kind of optimize. My sleep, sometimes if you're tired in the morning, you don't necessarily know why. But if you can change the temperature change your pillows change stuff, like that, eventually, you can figure out what works best for you and just feel better every day, getting back to the positives. What this Apple Watch does well and really what pretty much every Apple device does well is.

It makes everything as far as connectivity goes seem like behind the scenes. Magic, like you, don't know why things work, but they just do it doesn't tell you that it's connecting by Bluetooth, you don't have to go on your phone and do stuff like AirPods and your phone and your Apple Watch just all fit together really well, and it does a great job of making things very seamless and another big positive is, if you have a mac or an iMac or a MacBook or whatever you have. It is really nice that you can unlock your Mac with your Apple Watch. So when you're in proximity, when you're close to your Mac, you can just automatically unlock. I think that's a cool feature to have now.

I know before I said there were three big things that are cut out on this watch compared to the Apple Watch six, but I suppose that's not correct, there's actually a fourth one, which is another big drawback here. This watch doesn't have an always on display. This is something that bothered me a little while wearing this watch. I got used to it because, sometimes like I turn it off anyway, to save battery, but an always on display means that when you're, when you're sitting there, and you're not looking at your watch, it will show something instead of just a black rectangle with this one, it's going to be a black rectangle unless you're looking at the watch, which means that the aesthetic of this overall is going to be compromised a little. It doesn't look as nice to wear so a small drawback, yes, but ultimately it is going to be good for your battery life.

The battery life on this, like I said, is going to be lasting about maybe two days, if you're lucky, depending on how much you're using GPS, sometimes a day and a half, so I usually just charge this one overnight because, like I said, sleep tracking doesn't really do that much for me anyway. Another big positive with this watch is that you have Apple Pay on here, of course, and Apple Pay again is so widely accepted. It's so easy to use, and so you can type in your credit cards your debit cards on your phone, and then they will be here on your watch and what I like about this one. I know a lot of other watches have a similar thing: Garmin pay, Fitbit pay. Google Pay right like they all have essentially the same thing, but I like how Apple Watch doesn't make you type in a password or like a pin.

Every time you go to use the card. Instead, they make you type in a pin. When you put the watch on its able to detect when it's on or off of your wrist and once you type it in then you're good anytime, you want to use Apple Pay, you just push a button, use Apple Pay, and it's just a really quick, easy way to use your credit cards. So then. Lastly, I really like the feature on here.

That is series like lift and speak feature where you just lift the watch up to your mouth and start talking, but there is a little of a learning curve. It doesn't work unless you do it right. So you want to make sure you like, lift it up and turn your wrist in and then, when you start talking, it'll just start listening to you and doing whatever you tell it to do so guys, overall, the Apple Watch SE here after wearing it for a month. I still think that this is a great watch to buy if you're looking to buy an Apple Watch for most people. This is probably the best one to buy being that you're saving some money, and you're cutting out features that a lot of people won't necessarily use that much anyway.

But again, if you really want the ECG, if you really want blood oxygen measurements, then maybe the series 6 is going to be better and then of course, the other thing you're missing is the always-on display, which I'm not really sure why they cut that out on this one. It seems like such an easy thing they could add, but regardless it's not on this watch. If those are the only compromises out there, at least for me, I would be picking this watch every single time. I think it's a great buy, and I'll have a link down in the top of the description, so you guys can see the latest price, because I mean Black Friday stuff, like that it is likely to go on sale so check that link out for the latest price guys if you enjoyed this video, consider liking and subscribing comment down below any questions you have about this watch. Thanks for watching guys, see you next time, bye.
