Apple Watch 38mm vs. 42mm: WATCH THIS BEFORE YOU BUY! ⌚️

I get this question all the time what Apple Watch am I wearing I am currently wearing the Apple Watch Series: 342 millimeter space, great GPS, Wow nailed down the first try what's up YouTube, it's your boy, MAC, so Apple Watch, it's no secret, I love it, but one of the questions I get asked all the time when it comes to the Apple Watch has to do with this MAC. What Apple Watch size should I go with. We have the 42 millimeter Apple Watch or the 38 millimeter. Now at a glance, you're thinking, okay, 42 38, that's only a 4 millimeter difference. How big of a difference can it actually be, but I will be the first one to tell you that 4 millimeter difference when we're talking about a device of this size. This can make a big difference in how you're gonna use this thing.

What it's going to mean to you, differences that go beyond just the obvious size difference. Let's get right to it. First things. First, let's talk about screen real estate. Now, usually, when we're comparing screen sizes with something like a TV, for example, the size difference usually is just a matter of how it's gonna watch on your TV Stan.

Do you want the bigger TV or the smaller TV? What complements the TV stand better when we talk about screen sizes on devices with touchscreens, however, that's where screen real estate actually makes a big difference. Differences in sizes with touchscreens makes a big difference because it changes the way you actually interact with the device when you're working with a tiny device. To begin with, such as the Apple Watch, it's pretty agreeable that every millimeter of screen size does make the Apple Watch easier to use now. Having said that, I'm not saying that bigger is automatically better I'm, not suggesting we have an Apple Watch the size of an iPhone X on the next generation of the Apple Watch, that'd be the kind of cool, but a little ridiculous. Knowing me I'd probably go out and get the thing if it was the size of an iPhone X on launch day 2.

What is wrong with me? I need help, but this means, when you're debating between the 42 millimeter Apple Watch and the 38 millimeter Apple Watch, you do have to think about how you're going to be using it I'll be the first one to admit that the Apple Watch is pretty amazing when it comes to touchscreen responsiveness and the fact that we get 3d touch built into this thing just blows. My mind and I am pretty impressed with what you can do on the Apple Watch. With the little screen area we have but Roxanne the 42 millimeter Apple Watch always have it's possible for some of you by downgrading to the 38 millimeter Apple Watch, ease of use with some of the things you're going to be doing on the Apple Watch could suffer a little now. This isn't going to be true for everyone all right, but for my fingers, for example, I just can't seem to not fat finger on a daily basis. I could have a screen.

The size of the moon and I would still have fat finger problems where it's just like I clicked the wrong thing. It's not even that my fingers are actually fat. That's just what you call when you can't properly use them on your touch screens, but when you have such a small screen area to work with on the Apple Watch, I personally think that four millimeters can make a huge difference with how well you're actually able to navigate and use the Apple Watch screen. One of the main reasons why, for me, I went with the 42. If you have small wrists and small fingers, and you're super accurate with these things, when you're getting stuff done, then you might be okay with a 38 for me not the case.

I have somewhat small wrists, but I still I'm, not super accurate with the touchscreen, so bottom line for those of you who find yourselves accidentally hitting things on the Apple Watch or even on your iPhone you're, probably going to want to go with the 42. Another thing to mention here is because of the bigger screen size the Apple Watch, 42 millimeters is naturally going to have more pixels built into the display. At a glance, this probably isn't going to make that big of a difference to the naked eye. Both Apple Watch sizes have enough. Pixels built into the display to observe Apple's Retina screen rating, which is Apple's way of explaining that you're not gonna, see individual pixels on the screen because of the pixel density.

So whether you're on the 42 of the 38 you're, not gonna, have to worry about pixel density issues. You're not gonna, see the individual pixels from a natural distance bottom line. Both a 38 millimeter Apple Watch in the 42 millimeter Apple Watch have enough pixels built into the display for you not to notice a difference. The pixel difference itself is really a non-issue, but one of the other differences to consider between the two Apple Watch sizes is the actual difference. In thickness between the two sizes.

The Apple Watch Series 3 in Apple Watch Series 2 is gonna, be a lot thicker than the series 1, for example, no matter what size Apple Watch or material you get, but the 42 millimeter in the 38 millimeter Apple Watch within the same generation model is usually the same series.3 watches, for example, same depth and thickness on every size of the Apple Watch, except for the white ceramic bottom line. Usually the thickness of the Apple Watch within the same Apple Watch generation model, no matter what size you get remains the same. It's a pretty general rule you can live by. If you want to check, you can go online to see the actual thickness dimensions of each individual Apple Watch model. Another thing to consider is accessories.

If you guys watch this channel, you already know I love, mono air design, bands, mono, wear design bands are the only bands. I wear I actually have an entire video review on my channel discussing these bands. Why they're my favorite and hooking, you guys up with a discount code. If you want to check out my video on my favorite Apple Watch, bands and reviews on these bands check out the video. That's gonna pop up on the top right hand, corner of your screen with that card.

Annotation wear as always, I'll leave the link in the video description box below as well, so be sure to check that out. If you're trying to up your band game, the bottom line is with most accessories for the Apple Watch, accessories like bands and docks and charges are interchangeable between all the Apple Watch generations. Now, obviously, something like a charging dock is going to have no problem charging either a 42 millimeter or a 38 millimeter Apple Watch, but you do have to keep in mind if you get an accessory like a band. Obviously a 38 millimeter Apple Watch bands not going to fit on the 42 millimeter Apple Watch band so just know that most accessories are interchangeable within the size. Apple Watch that you get so don't decide on an Apple Watch size based on accessories.

There are multiple accessories available for either size, Apple Watch and accessories within that size. Category is interchangeable amongst generations. So now that we got those two out of the way here is a difference between the two different size, Apple watches. As of the making of this video, the 42 millimeter Apple Watch no matter what generation you get does have a bigger battery than the 38 millimeter Apple Watch right now. The 42 millimeter version of every Apple Watch has a bigger battery, has a better battery than the 38 millimeter.

A bigger battery means more room for storage, which means more stored energy, which means a better battery, which means the 42 millimeter Apple Watch technically lasts a little longer when it comes to battery compared to the 38. Now the battery life itself won't be a drastic difference, but it can make a difference once again based on how you use the Apple Watch, this one's pretty self-explanatory. So just know that whether you have the first generation second generation or third generation, the 42 millimeter version of the Apple Watch, it's going to have a slightly better battery than the 38 millimeter, no matter what generation you choose something to keep in mind now. Here is possibly the biggest difference to consider when deciding between the two sizes, as is usually the case with most Apple products, the bigger the device, the more expensive it's going to be. The Apple Watch is no different you're going to pay a little more for a 42 millimeter watch than you are 38 millimeter.

As of right now, the price difference is usually just around $30 which, when you're purchasing a device like the Apple Watch, probably isn't going to make that big of a difference anyway. But if you're on a budget- and you really want that Apple Watch that starting price difference of $30 could make a big difference for you. So bottom line here. Just look out for that. $30 price difference between the 42 millimeter and the 38.

Here's the last difference that I personally think is the most important choosing between either the 42 or the 38. Apple Watch really depends on your needs and preferences. I think the Apple Watch is a phenomenal device that could change your life for the better I personally found my life to be more positive, more active, healthier and productive. Since I bought myself an Apple Watch, so it should come as no surprise here. The best way to decide between the 42 or the 38 is just discovered what your needs and preferences are with a device of this nature.

If you need a little more screen real estate to make sure your interaction with your Apple Watch, a little easier, maybe go for the 42. If you have tiny wrists and tiny fingers- and you don't want it to look like you- have a sundial attached to your wrist when you're looking at your Apple Watch, maybe go with a 38 I get this question all the time. What Apple Watch am I wearing I'm, currently wearing the Apple Watch, Series 3 42 millimeter space, great GPS, Wow nailed down the first try, but I made my decisions on this watch. This model this size, based on what my needs and preferences are with the Apple Watch for you to get the most out of your Apple Watch.
