Apple iPhone 8 Plus Review Philippines

Apple's iPhone announcement this year definitely surprised us, as it was the first time there will two completely different iterations of the revered device. Hey guys. This is Joey Masada and today, in this review, we'll be taking a look at the iPhone 8 plus the iPhone 8 plus has similar design cues as the seven plus, but still looks unique. The definitive difference here is that the phone is now covered in glass, both front and back. It makes this change, while still retaining the ip67 rating. It still has the same 5.5 inch Retina display with a full HD resolution. The front also has the same: seven megapixel FaceTime camera, the usual sensors and the circular home button with touch ID.

On the left side, we can see the volume keys and the mute switch and on the right we can see the power. Slash lock button with the SIM card slot just below at the bottom of the phone is the Lightning port, as well as two Audio grills on either side of it flipping it around. We can see the glass back, which gives the eight plus a nice shine and smoothness, as well as the protruding dual 12 megapixel rear cameras and their accompanying quad tone LED flash in the hands. The 8 + feels a lot like the 7 plus, but with a glass back. There are some changes in its dimensions, though, as it is slightly bigger and heavier compared to its predecessor, the iPhone 8 plus sports, the same screen size and resolution.

As the iPhone 7, plus a 5.5-inch screen with a full HD resolution, it still has the same 1,300 to 1 contrast, ratio and brightness and supports 3d touch. On the software side. We have Apple's latest operating system, iOS 11 our unit currently runs the recently released iOS 11.0 point 1. The layout is still similar to iOS 10, but with aesthetic changes like the redesign control center, which now takes advantage of the whole screen. The new iPhones only come into storage variants, 64 gigs and 256 gigs.

Our 64 gig unit has 50 8.9 gig of usable storage out of the box, which isn't bad. It's also a great starting point, as there is no option to expand this further. Why am I Kurt SD, the iPhone 8 plus sports, dual 12 megapixel wide-angle and telephoto rear cameras? It has optical image stabilization up to 10 times digital zoom and has squad led true tone. Flash with slow sync, which captures subjects in low-light with a slow shutter speed and the short stroke pulse also present is the new portrait lighting mode which is currently in beta. It uses facial detection and depth maps to capture portraits and lighting effects.

Image quality as expected is perfect, especially in bright conditions. Images appear sharp with plenty of details and accurate colors low-light performance is OK, but noise isn't handled too well. Selfies, on the other hand, are handled by the same 7, megapixel F, 2.2, FaceTime, HD, camera quality is also good and has space tracking and 1080p video recording speaking of video recording the iPhone 8 plus, can shoot videos up to 4k resolution at 60fps and slow motion videos up to 1080p at 240fps, just like the photos. Video quality here is impressive. Powering the iPhone 8 plus is Apple's most powerful chipset.

Today, the new, an 11 Bionic chip with neural Engine and the embedded M 11 motion coprocessors. It features for high efficiency cores that are up to 70% faster than the previous 810, and to performance cores that are up to 25% faster. The GPU, on the other hand, is up to 30% faster than the 8/10. What all of that basically translates to is that the iPhone 8 plus can easily handle whatever tasks you throw at it when it comes to pure benchmark numbers. The iPhone 8 plus currently has the highest an tutu score when put up against other current flagships.

We reviewed the iPhone 8 plus packs a 2675 William hour battery, which is a downgrade from the seven plus two thousand nine hundred mill amp hours. Apple, however, claims that it lasts just as long in our video loop test, the phone lasted 12 hours and 35 minutes of continuous playback, which is better than the 10 and a half hours we got from the iPhone 7 plus last year. Another new feature in the iPhone is wireless charging, which includes QI chargers already currently on the market. The iPhone 8 plus, is, without a doubt, one of Apple's, most powerful smartphones to date. Although sporting a new number in its name, it still someone basically the upgraded version of its predecessor following the usual naming convention.

This could have easily been the iPhone 7s plus now, should you get the iPhone 8, plus the short answer, if it's your first iPhone, or maybe you're, upgrading from an older model, but it's definitely worth considering now. On the other hand, Android users might find this as a less attractive option, especially if they're looking for something that sports, newer tech and things like slim bezels, considering the pace of which its competitors are innovating. The iPhone 8 plus doesn't bring a lot of new things to the table, but all in all, it's still a great phone and that's all for now guys be sure to leave a thumbs up if you liked it consider subscribing for more content. This has been Joey and I'll. See you in the next one.
