Apple iPhone 12 Pro Max Full Review

So, what is up guys nick here, helping you to master your technology, iPhone 12 Pro max full review. Now this one does come in at 11.99. I picked up the 256 gig model. This is in silver and uh this device. You can get it starting at 10.99. So this is no cheap phone.

By no means it's actually the most premium priced iPhone you can buy. I think the Galaxy Note 20 ultra is a little more than this, though, as is the folding device. So this is not the most you'll pay for a phone out there, but definitely for an iPhone. Now, if you want to know why I went with the silver it's because I just wanted something different from the marketed colors in the past couple years I have been buying the color, that's always marketed, so it was with the gold iPhone 10s max, and then I bought the green iPhone 11 Pro max, but this year I wanted to go something more classic. So I went with silver and I think it looks fantastic.

Some people may disagree, but it's really down your personal perspective and opinion. In my opinion, this kind of reminds me a little on the sides of the original iPhone 10 with those really shiny, stainless steel silver edges right there, all right. So when it comes to the body and the build of the 12 pro max, this thing weighs 228 grams. So it's a pretty heavy phone by comparison to smaller phones on its own. If you're used to big phones, this one's not going to be a big problem for you, if you're already used to using a big device, 7.4 millimeter stick makes this pretty darn thin for the size of this phone. So it's not super thick whatsoever.

It does change the edges to more of a square design very similar to what we've seen on the iPhone five days SC day. So if you love that design, but you always want it in a big sized phone here, you go. The iPhone 12 Pro max has got you covered now. This also does have ip68 dust and water resistance, and this phone also will feature ceramic shield for better drop protection, but I do assure you that it will still scratch so get yourself. A screen protector, if you are picking up 12 pro max overall, my thoughts on the body and the build quality are, for some reason.

Apple always finds a way to make their phones feel even more premium than the last one. Even if it's by that much because that's how much it feels like it's by, but these squared edges do give it a drastically different feel just because the overall way it feels was squared versus a more curvy edge on the iPhone 11 Pro max definitely feels a little different. I think it gives you a nice grip on the phone, and it doesn't really feel that slippery, especially with the stainless steel edges. They do attract fingerprints, but they do give you this sense of something to hold on to okay. So reviewing the display for this phone, the iPhone 12 Pro max does feature one of the brightest one of the sharpest displays 458 PPI, but what apple has done here is they found a way to take OLED, which is typically very saturated and tune it to be just a nice balance between not too saturated, and very you know, natural looking.

So it's got this pleasant. Look to it. I mean you can't really tweak it that much, but you do have true tone here. You do have dark mode, and this one just has such a massive canvas that you don't really see the notch, or you don't look at the notch that much on this phone. You don't notice it as much, but I still like to see that go away in the future, so I will zing apple a little on that one.

I would like to see that go away if they can find a way to get face ID within the bezel like this at the bottom. But up at the top you can see that in terms of zooming scrolling, there's no 90 hertz or 120 hertz, and I know you probably heard that a thousand times it's starting to get annoying but at the same time keep in mind guys that that is a feature that competitors do offer at similar price points. So it's just something I point out, and also you can see very overall smooth, though I mean apple, does find a way to make their phones with their optimization software and hardware to make their display super smooth, regardless of that technology of 90 or 120. So having the 60 hertz is probably not a dealbreaker for many, as millions have already pre-ordered this device. Overall, I have to say the display whether you're watching videos or, if you are reading articles on the web or doing basically anything if you enjoy large screen phones for consuming media for consuming content, you're going to love what this phone does have on offer, and it's very wide for typing as well.

So if you are going to be doing a lot of things with the keyboard which you more than likely will on a phone like this, you have a nice wide keyboard for typing in an application that you're going to download or text messaging and people and stuff, like that very wide, very spacious, very comfy here on the 12 pro max. So overall, the 6.7 inch Dr OLED display, has hdr10 support. It also does have Dolby Vision, support. It's a very high-end display. I think, there are displays out there that are just as high-end on some other competitors, but rather gaming or whatever you're doing watching hdr10 content you're really just going to love this display, because this is one of the main reasons to get the max is to get the max.

The best display apple does have on offer, so definitely a major thumbs up you. You cannot deny the greatness of this display and one of the best things is. It gets super bright at 800, nits, usable knits, meaning that the actual usability of this brightness, if you're in dark lit in situations you'll, never need it. It's so much to play with, and it gets very dim as well. So it's got a nice range as well on the phone, some phones you'll slide the brightness slider all the way up, and you won't even see it changing really so now, let me move on to the topic of software, so this one did just get an update to the iOS 14.2.1 and 14.3 is coming shortly here for this phone, which is going to add raw support on this device for the camera, which is going to make it even better. Now you can see that we do have app library.

You also have the ability to have widgets on this phone, which is really nice as well. I just got to state that you know. I would like to see a picture in picture mode that doesn't have to make you go to the browser for YouTube. That's not really apple's fault, but uh YouTube needs to update that for this device, I'm not sure if they will, they might keep that to their platform. But you can see we have to go on to YouTube to use the picture and picture uh from the browser.

I want to see it in the actual YouTube application itself. In addition, I want to see some split screen and I want to see this phone kind of rotate in landscape, at least for the max size phone. It would be useful so overall, the software just as good as the smaller phones. It's just not really that much different. I want to see more advantage taking of this display on future max phones, but it's a clean software for a large phone.

That's basically what I think of it and that it's going to last a very long time with its updates. Now, when it comes to performance, I'm reviewing this in the sense of the a14 bionic five nanometers, but in the sense of thinking about the a13 as well, and how good that CPU was if you've used a13 even a12, a12x a12z any of those processors from a12 and above you probably won't be seeing major differences in your day-to-day life. Yes, this thing does fly, and it is faster in rendering and stuff like that. But day to day, the iPhone has been fast for so long that this is not a feature that you know. It does look good on paper, and it definitely does convince some users to pick it up just because of that and for longevity purposes for keeping this phone updated for the long term.

Yes, it's a good investment in this processor, but what I'm trying to say is that right now speed right now, you don't really see that much of a difference. It's something you don't think about! You just expect apple to deliver here, and they do they definitely do it's just something to come to expect with the iPhone. So I found myself when using the 12 pro max thinking about everything else it offers and not really thinking about much about the a14 chipset. Even though, in the back of my mind I know I do have the a14 on here. It's just something I didn't think about much.

What I did think about much was, as you can see, right there, the six gigs of ram. I liked how pretty much everything I opened did not reload after it was already opened. So that was really nice to see that you can just hop between the applications, and you can hop between a lot of them, and you're not going to see a lot of reloading going on for this phone. So that's a major thumbs up for performance. This is probably the fastest phone in the industry and let me go ahead now and discuss my experience with the battery life on this phone, so the battery health for this device, of course, at 100 percent, but I found in usage with this device that it's one of those phones with the battery life that you'll get through the whole day easily.

This thing actually has a 3687 William hour and I really wish apple would have put like a 4500. This thing would have blowed away the competition, but for now this one still gets through a day even two days. If you're a light user, this phone for heavy users will be a one-day phone without breaking a sweat. It also definitely has this problem where it drains a little more in gaming. I found I don't know why it is like that.

But if I'm playing games heavy, I can definitely drain this thing down. Pretty quick um, not super quick, but still, if I'm gaming for a couple of hours, three hours or so it's gonna- eat some battery down on, but that's pretty much with all phones if you're doing gaming. Also, when I am going to be on camera, if I'm doing 4k HDR content, this is one of the biggest drainers of all the iPhone 12s pro max included. So you know those circumstances where you're you're really going to tax the battery. You know it will drain some and 5g as well.

When this thing is in the 5g mode, you're definitely going to see a little of a hit versus something like 4g LTE, but at the end of the day, this battery life right here is the best you're going to find on any iPhone 12. So if that's the reason you're buying an iPhone as you want better battery life from your prior one, look no further than the 12 pro max it's sitting at the top of the hill right there, and this phone is capable of fast charging wireless charging. But of course none of that stuff is included in the box, so you have to buy those accessories separately when buying the iPhone 12 Pro max, if you already don't have them at home. I also want to take a little of time to discuss the storage on this phone. The 256 gig is an option.

You should go with if you're going to be doing a lot of 4k video. If you are going to be doing some 4k, some photography, and you're going to download quite a few apps, but you don't think you're going to be like using it too much. Then I think the 128 gig should be fine um. If you're going to manage your storage, the 128 gig should be fine as well, but still any of the options you go with are pretty spacious. Now so 128 256, 512 they're, all pretty spacious.

Now you don't have that pretty low 64 gigs. So I'm pretty happy overall reviewing the storage on this phone, I'm happy apple went with 128 gigs and guys. Let's talk about the cameras, one of the biggest things that people really look forward to when the next iPhone comes out and Apple has delivered once again, the ultra-wide you can now zoom further on the 12 pro max up to 12 x. That's pretty awesome! I mean Samsung phones zoom way farther than that, but for an iPhone, that's pretty great, but where this phone really shines is the 4k video you're actually watching this video shot on the iPhone 12 and 4k 30 right now, not HDR, but this one can do HDR so can the 12 you can also do it in 4k, 60 and HDR. You know this phone's video is mind-blowing.

It's its super bright. It has perfect focus abilities, and it's portrait mode also improved over past years. I do want to state that the panoramic mode is also nice, but I want to state about the front-facing camera here.4K 60 on this phone really makes the video match up very well. If you're vlogging on the front seeing your front camera angle like if you're doing a vlog, and you switch to the back, they match up very well. So I do love the cameras that were introduced on the 11, and they return here with 4k 60 on the 12.

But enough of me talking about these triple 12 megapixel cameras. You've seen there's a LIDAR sensor as well. I didn't take much advantage of that just yet, but take a look at some of my samples, and you can decide for yourself if this is going to be the phone camera for you, hey, so hey him all right guys. So let's talk about the audio amongst jumbo iPhone lovers, people that love the big, so that was the unboxing now. The thing is that this phone has a very crispy audio quality, even at the high end.

So when it gets to the back max volume, this thing's going to be amazing for you, so my impressions right away are that it just has a very nice full sound even at its max volume, and that to me just makes us feel like a very high-end speaker when it comes to the audio performance you get on your stereo, sound, so major win here for the iPhone 12 Pro max. If you pick one up here in terms of that, it's a major win now when it comes to Wi-Fi performance connectivity, I find that things just open up so fast here the Wi-Fi performance works fantastic, but, as does the 5g having these Qualcomm modems have given me more bars more consistently, I'm holding on to that signal strength better than the past iPhone. So if this is something you're in an area where you don't get the best service, this is definitely an upgrade from the past iPhones. You might have had some issues with that. So definitely, and if you haven't, it's still better either way, it's still just a better chip for cellular reception and stuff in this device.

So definitely a thumbs up there. The call quality has also been fantastic 412 pro max, I haven't had any dropped. Calls and people have said. They've heard me just fine, so if you are looking for a good phone for what it is a phone uh, not that you're all making calls right now. But if you are, you know doing FaceTime calls the speaker performance is good.

The call quality is good. There's just not a lot of wrong with this device right here. So my conclusion to this video is the iPhone 12 Pro max worth buying, and my answer is definitely, but it depends on which phone you're coming from. I think, if you're coming from the iPhone 10s max or the 8 plus, this is a great upgrade. I think it's tougher to justify if you just bought an 11 pro max to upgrade to this.

Furthermore, I probably would just skip this I'll wait till next year. If you have an 11 pro max, unless you absolutely have to be on the latest and greatest you just love the square sides more, or you have some jump program or some carrier subsidy where you can just easily switch over from the 11 pro max, then go for it. But I would say overall, this is just an excellent refinement on the iPhone 11 Pro max and giving you something a little different with the squared edges, but it's definitely going to cost you, but for those people can appreciate a large phone like the iPhone 12 Pro max this one's for you anyway. If you guys found this video helpful entertaining and forming click. The like button for me subscribe, if you haven't already nick here, be sure to be well and peace and by the way this is like the old iPhones.

This guy actually stand up on its own without doing anything, because it is a squared iPhone.
