Now the date is finally here: rumors have been flying thick and fast, and here's what I think apple will be introducing this year. Yes, there will be an iPhone 12, iPhone, 12 pro and iPhone 12 Pro max, but the big rumor is this year is that apple might also introduce an iPhone 12 mini to cater to everyone who has wanted a smaller, more comfortable smartphone. This mini is believed to have a 5.4 inch display compared to the 6.1-inch screen on the iPhone 12 and for those who want a big display. The iPhone 12 Pro max could still pack a 6.7 inch display. Unfortunately, rumors suggest that apple might be skipping out on 120hz displays this year.

Apple's high speed invite alludes to the fact that the company is focusing on you guessed it speed. This should include a fast new a14 chipset, but also 5g support for speedy data transfers. Additionally, the iPhone 12 series is expected to get a major design upgrade bringing it in line with the iPad Pro. Of course, there'll be upgrades to the camera systems. Apple might even add, LIDAR support for better portrait photos and AR applications.

Overall, the iPhone 12 series is shaping up to be a big step forward for the iPhones, with all new design and 5g support and wait. There is one more thing, along with the iPhones. Some rumors have suggested that apple might even introduce a smaller smart speaker expected to be called the home port mini. It should bring Siri support and smaller speakers to a more affordable price point apple will be unveiling the entire range of products later tonight via a virtual event.
