Acer Chromebook Tab 10 2019 Review

Hello, hello, hello, today we're going to look at what I think totally up front is a perfect tablet for someone who wants something a bit different for an Android tablet. That is even though it's not an Android tablet. I think this is worth considering compared. You know if you look at what's available at the moment out there, if you don't want to buy like a Samsung, there's, not a lot of them decent Android tablets around. So what is this okay? Well, this is the Acer Chromebook Tab 10 and yes, you can guess by the name that actually this is a Chrome tab as the main OS. But as most people know now, the Chrome OS has access to the Android Google Play Store, so you basically get the best of both worlds.

So spec wise, this isn't 9.7 tablet 4gb of ram. It has a rock chip, hex core Google certified CPU. It's got Bluetooth the resolution, and I'm just looking here because is 2048 by 1536. So the resolution is really pretty decent LCD. What else has got 5 megapixel camera, which I'm not going to really talk about? So this basically the same size as a non I pad, but is a bit thicker than you can see, because this was kind of primarily aimed at schools.

The book is very popular in schools internationally, so this was really aimed at students. Actually, so you can buy these new for about 320 330 us this I got refurbished. It was about $100 less than that approximately 230 I think it was, and I really didn't know what to expect. But I was really pleasantly surprised. So, as I see it looks the same.

It's the same size as your iPad, it's not as premium feeling, but it's all plastic I, don't mind that it's a bit thicker as well as you can see here. It has USB, see and I. Don't know a lot of weight, probably a bit heavier than say you the latest iPad 9.7, but it feels pretty decent in the hand and I. Don't know why something about the eye like I, don't mind the thickness. I, don't mind that compared the plastic.

There's just something about it. I, like now I. My first experience with Chromebooks was the Samsung that Samsung Chromebook that I reviewed an about a month or two ago, and I think it is a valuable proposition for people who are just donen't want to buy into Windows or fed up the Windows 10 updates. Don't really need Windows at 10, and I've said this often, and most people will know this- that really most people don't need Windows, they don't need a laptop any more I, you can. Everything can be done on a browser or anything can be done on an Android tablet.

If you're only doing light of this work, the there's you have a myriad of choices, presentations, etc. For the most part, I have my MacBook. It's line, gathering dust I'm, not using it I'm, really using either my surface go or I'm using my phone, or I'm using this tablet. So I bought this with view to keeping it in the house, and I have been using a work, it's I have just found it just really quite portable. Now, if you go on to YouTube- and you will see some reviews of this actually, what 2/3 of the reviews of this tablet will be pretty negative, they're saying it's under power: that's whatever the know the bill, call it center.

Well, III, disagree, and I'm, not saying it's, not a speed demon, and you know don't expect that it is, but for general use with within Android apps and within the Chrome browser I've found it to work pretty decently, and I'm have no complaints at all. His occasional has some stutters, but I really have not had any issues with at all I find that it was gorgeous swiftly, and I've really enjoyed using it. I haven't connected when I can remember my password again, let's see well as my I will try and remember that terrible memory I'm not sure that that is it and if not I'm going to have to is that maybe it is, let's see? No, it's not oh, says bad password hold on to get there I'm using this at the moment. I'm using this, it's not bad. It's um my thigh, a with external battery with in solid with up yeah as a battery that you could be high-capacity battery that you can use for a charging other devices.

So look at the bus will begin beer with me because, ah okay I was nearly close to it. He says should be it for life, and he is pretty decent. This cost about $70 when I bought I've heard that while now I'm probably get it cheaper now it's not a brand I just got it from I. Think your best or AliExpress. Something like that.

So it's us connected now. Let me see yeah. So that's all I'm go to my YouTube channel. Ok! So if anybody was watching, let me see nobody's viewed anything no views for that. Lg v-twin it comes on.

Anybody was watching my LG review. I, don't know what happened, but the music didn't cut off, so it kind of like him goes on while I'm talking. So he can't hear me talk and I. Don't know why, as I said as I've said many times, I'm not I, don't have a mm-hmm I, don't have a professional. Let's see I'm, not particularly high standards when it comes to video production, yeah, the couldn't add, I, don't know what I'm using this other program at the moment.

My volume is not on this me. Is it something to do with me, and it is so you see I started talking the music didn't and stop so anybody watching that I think the music on the last, but about a minute or something I'm. Sorry, I, didn't notice, and I'm using this move, our v3 version of which sorry I'm just editing within the phone, so I mean it's pretty decent for what you get for free so anyway, I'm apologize for that seventy-seven views. Okay, let's see what my 14 views, and it's not bad from yesterday, see that's what it makes them happen, so I think the videos look pretty decent speakers, nothing to write and nothing to write home about it's fine, but it's you can use. Of course, your headphones, whatever I did see some reviews where people were complaining, I, don't know if this, whatever the resolution or something on them YouTube but I, didn't find any problems with her I.

Really, and I've been watching some stuff within the player BBC player and some downloaded stuff on to the the hard drive it's got.32 GB I forgot to mention a 2 GB internal storage and I, put in a memory card there, and really I've been watching stuff on it and I haven't noticed any problems with it. I've been using VLC. So, as I said at the beginning, you do have the access to the chrome store, plus you and the Play Store. So basically, you have the best of both now I'm, not a chrome expert, but I've recently, because I do some a lot of educational videos on LinkedIn I've come to value the having the browser version of Chrome for the work that I've been doing, because the mobile version on my phone is a lot less choices on it. The browser one set for the program I'm using, which is a program called lumen five.

The mobile version of that can be a bit Fe, and it's can. It can hang quite a bit, so I'm kind of appreciating the mobile at the full version of Chrome over these last couple of months. This has been using as an e-book and I. Think I've said before that my go-to at the moment is still. Can you see it there? You can see it as a read era: there's a free, e-book reader and is I find that just really, really good, and I don't really see the point in using any other.

Even for PDFs, it's not bad, although my PDF kind of go to is a egg egg or do X. Oh dude, I mispronounced that so do docks this one here, and you see, and if you get into focus this might going to go to for PDF. So yeah I've been using this program a lot of reading and PDF magazines, and I've really thoroughly enjoyed the've found it generally very smooth. The quick menu for your settings is down in the corner here, and you can reduce the brightness I think it's very bright, and you can turn on your night light pretty easily. So I have experience, really no major problems that have been particularly happy with, and I've.

This has worked better than the last couple of Android tablets, a pure Android tablets. I have used. So that's my experience, gaming wise now, I'm, not a gamer center mobile gamer and the reviews that I saw where you're, probably you know hard pushed to get perfect games on the go here, but I suppose light games and browser-based games you'll be fine, I, don't think you're going to be buying this. If you're interested in mobile gaming, you should probably be looking at the Nvidia. Was it called shield yeah, which I wish I still had, but anyway I? Don't you should be looking at something like that or just holding out and going for the Nintendo Switch, which is a brilliant? My thing is just an excellent all-around gaming, a solution so yep gamers.

Beware now let me think anything else to tell you about this. No look, I'm just would be Hovering if I'm going to be speaking more I found it working very well now again look managing expectations of your looseness for light usage. Light document light Office, don't think about any heavy editing of photos or video. Anything like that, then I, don't think you'll be disappointed there. The battery life is pretty decent I'm getting at least eight hours.

I think is rated nine hours I'm getting the battery life is pretty decent for a tablet, so I'm not complaining about that. Well, maybe the one complaint that I do have in regard to the battery life is I, think it takes quite a while to charge and the charger that comes with. It is a big brick of a thing so yeah, that's probably my only complaint. The rest of this, because I've kind of not been used as a Chrome device has been mostly still Android, but I've been appreciating. Some chrome touches shall we say, and I've kind of got used to it and for those who still think that chrome is, or you always have to be connected to the Internet.

Well, you don't, so you know get that your head, you don't, and I just feel that chrome is definitely it was free, so yeah, you know, plus the updates or nothing like the hassle that you have and with Windows 10 and everybody and their ROG is having you know, having issues with these big updates of Windows, 10 and other things start working or drivers are missing or whatever so and if you're not, I take you know right and your if you're not that tech-savvy, then it can become really frustrating and some people are hankering for a more simple life. That's why Windows 7 is still so popular and why Windows XP was very popular because you know people don't want to be fiddling around and trying to get drivers or whatever. Is there not even they're, not interested? They just want something that works and a Chromebook. This Chrome tab, you can add a Bluetooth key. You know a small portable Bluetooth keyboard too, and you could get a half-decent on the go mini office.

I know that there are some covers available, I'm, not sure, as any keyboard covers available for this, but also this has most support as well. So really you know as an as again as a light usage solution for business types. This is worthy of consideration, it's not an iPad. It's not, and you know iPad I like iPad, but really you know with the no support for a mouse. It's even the keyboard that doesn't make it that easy for people who are generally used to kind of laptop PC experience.

iPad is not it's not am the answer really and again. iPad for from, for me, mostly is for personal media consumption and browsing and stuff like that, but for real productivity, it's just too much hassle. So that's why I wanted to share this with you, and you know you can, if not interested in this, you could look at there's myriad of their companies with Chromebooks pretty decent prices, and it could be the solution that you're looking for. If you don't want to spend too much money for yourself or for your kids, then a Chromebook could be the way to go. It has the after.

Have you had two choices for Microsoft Office? You have the web-based free stuff, which is them easy. You, you have also the Play Store office apps, which are free for the most part for and suffice for most people's needs, Word documents Excel and their PowerPoint so and there's other obviously third-party companies who have their own office apps as well. So this really could be a cheap solution. You don't want to go all out buying some fancy laptop that you're hardly ever going to be used. Just like me so yeah, that's my thoughts and feelings on the Acer Chromebook top 10.

Now before I go it's a terrible name. I! Just can't believe that nobody can think of a better name. So but anyway, it's a terrible name, but it's a good tablet. So any questions any comments, whatever I will do my best to answer them in a timely fashion. Okay,.
