2021 iPads – MASSIVE New Leaks!

The 2021 iPads are just a few weeks away. The links and rumors are saying that there will be three of them: the 2021 iPad Pro the newly redesigned iPad Mini as well as a brand new 10.5 inch, entry-level iPad, two of which are set to be unveiled at a 2021 march Apple event. So get a snacks right in here's. Everything that you need to know about the 2021 iPad lineup sponsored by paperlike. If you have an iPad and an Apple Pencil you need to get paper like paper, like is a thin screen protector that you apply to your iPad. That makes the entire drawing and writing experience with the Apple Pencil feel like real paper, rather than that slippery glass feel that you would normally get.

I actually use paper like on my very own personal iPad Pro, and I would highly recommend it so yeah check it out using the link below, and this is paperlike for sponsoring this video starting off with a 2021 iPad Pro. This one will finally feature some notable changes since that 2018 redesign and those three big changes would be in terms of the display. The performance and the connectivity when it comes to the display, the biggest change that we'll be getting here, is mini led. This has been reported by mark German, Ming, chi, duo and a bunch of other sources, and if you want to learn more about mini, led technology, you can watch our full video here from earlier this week, but long story short, the IPA's display will now be brighter likely close to 1000 nits of sustained brightness up from the current 600 nits, and it will also have a much better contrast ratio. Unfortunately, it won't be as good as OLED, but still a major improvement over the LCD panel that we have now.

Are you get individual zones that can adjust their brightness independently? This means that when you're watching content at night, you'll get perfect blacks in most areas of the image and when you're outdoors, the display will get super bright, which will make it easier to view the content on the next upgrade is in terms of the performance. The 2018 iPad Pro was a major change, not just in terms of the overall design, but also in terms of its performance. It featured apple's a12x processor, which was up to twice as fast in multicar performance as the a10x inside the previous iPad Pro, then, the 2020 iPad Pro only featured the a12z, which was really just a better bend version of the a12x, with one extra GPU core enabled, with the performance being pretty much identical to the a12x. What this means is that we haven't really had a brand new iPad Pro processor, since 2018 ouch leaker fudge at choc obit who's been super accurate in the past tweeted back in june 2020 that a new iPad Pro with the apple a14x processor was in the works, keep in mind that this was after the 2020 iPad Pro had already come out, which was back in March, and this tweet was from June. So he was definitely referring to the next iPad Pro here.

The a14x is also said to be very similar to the apple m1 chip found inside the latest max and since the MacBook Air doesn't have any cooling, we could potentially see similar levels of performance with the brand new iPad Pro, which means that we could again see an almost doubling of the multi-core performance so much what we got back in 2018, with a jump from the a10x to the a12x and that's pretty insane. And finally, we have the connectivity upgrades, aka, 5g, 5g, which is pretty self-explanatory. The iPhone's got 5g, 5g5 and 2020 with the iPhone 12s and now the iPad Pro is getting into love to dream. Who's been extremely accurate in the past tweeted also in June, as a response to fudge that this new iPad Pro will include a miniature display, as well as the brand new Qualcomm x55 5g modem, which fun fact is the exact same 5g modem found in the iPhone 12 line. So that's pretty great, as it means that we will be getting the exact same 5g speeds as in an iPhone 12, which has had some incredible speeds already, and it also means that if you're the kind of person who's always on the go, then this type of pro will be far better for you than something like a MacBook which doesn't have any cellular connectivity at least not for now.

Now the one accessory that is supposed to make the iPad Pro closer to MacBook is, of course, that magic keyboard john prosper, mentioned in one of his recent videos that he's heard that apple will also launch a new magic keyboard in March. But I personally don't see apple redesigning the iPad Pro magic keyboard anytime soon, as it only came out in 2020 and the new iPad Air, which launched in October 2020 also features support for this keyboard. So I don't see apple making any changes to it. But I would say that if there is a chance that we'll see a new magic keyboard, that magic keyboard will actually be the one for the iMac as the one that we have right now. Actually came out in 2015 six years ago, but then at the same time it wouldn't make any sense for apple to drop.

You know a random keyboard during an event, that's supposed to be focused on the iPads if the keyboard isn't iPad related john also states that he believes that this keyboard is for the upcoming iPad Pro, meaning that apple will likely have to make some changes to the body of the iPad Pro. Maybe repositioning that smart, connector or changing the dimensions of the body in order to maybe make even intentionally uh the previous keyboard, incompatible, which I really hope- that's not the case, because that would be such a scummy move to force, people that recently bought a magic keyboard, and that also wants to upgrade the new iPad to buy a 300 keyboard. Again like please don't do that. Speaking of accessories, a new Apple Pencil has been leaked by leaker, Mr white, and this new one looks very similar to the second gen. Only that it is glossy and the tip itself seems to have changed too now, there's a very good chance that the reason why Apple has changed the tip is this a pattern from July.2020 shows that apple was considering adding color sampling to a future version of the Apple Pencil, which means that you could touch an object in real life with the Apple Pencil and then the pencil would allow you to paint with that exact color on your iPad Pro super cool, but yeah, we'll wait and see now in terms of the iPad Mini this one right here is the iPad Mini 4, which I've had since 2015. When it first came out now, Apple did launch the iPad Mini 5 in 2019, but all the changes were minor as the design remained unchanged and the biggest improvements that we got were the Apple Pencil and the performance mob.

But this year at least we would finally be getting an iPad Mini redesign. It seems mischief reported that a brand new iPad Mini will launch in 2021 one that will have an 8.5 inch display. Now he did report this back in June 2020. So quite some time ago, but this is also when he reported that a 10.8-inch iPad will launch which ended up being the iPad Air in October only that it had a slightly larger 10.9 inch display, and we do actually have a newer report on this from mac Tamara back in January this year that claims that the iPad Mini will feature an 8.4 inch display so literally 0.1 inches off of what matrix reported alongside their bezels. That could resemble the iPad 3 slash the iPad Pro 2's design.

At the same time, we've also seen some reports that apple might be adopting a similar design to the iPad Pro with squared off edges. Now this will simply look incredible if apple pulls this off and if they do make this happen, and I also think that an iPad Mini with this design would just sell like crazy. There is also the option of apple launching both designs with the iPad Pro like model being slightly more expensive, although I'm not sure if in this case they will call that model, the iPad Mini pro or the iPad Pro mini. This iPad Mini will still feature the Apple Pencil support that the iPad Mini 5 introduced, but just imagine if it had that squared off design. In that case, it would also support the 2nd gen Apple Pencil, which would be almost as big as the entire iPad minion itself, making the mini look sort of like a notebook, a really cute and modern notebook if they use an iPad or 3's design.

Instead, and I have an 8.4 inch display, then the mini itself has to be getting bigger to fit that display, and I'm not sure, if that's necessarily a good idea, I think the display size has to be bigger as the iPhone 12 Pro max's display is already approaching the size of the iPad's mini display. But I also think that the footprint of the current mini should remain the same in order to keep it as portable as it is now. But we have some breaking news now: leaker Kong who's had a track record of 97.8 on apple track. Yes, he's been so far the most accurate leaker ever he set that a new small iPad with a full screen design has just passed DVT full screen display would mean that iPad Pro style design, but do let me know in the comments? What do you guys think and also feel free to subscribe, while you're at it for more leak, swimmers episodes like this one and finally, we have the entry-level iPad? So this is the one that we've actually had the highest number of recent reports on CN beta and mac Osaka, both reported based on info from supply chain sources that the 9th gen iPad will feature a thinner and a lighter design, with a larger 10.5 inch display from the current 10.2 inch display matching the design of the iPad 3 from 2019, which fun fact had the exact same design as the iPad Pro 2nd gen from 2017. Yes, apple's been recycling designs heavily over the past few years, and if you want to learn more about that, and why then definitely check out this video right here now? These are some pretty big upgrades, not because of the display getting 0.3 inches. Bigger, but because of what the thinner body implies, you see up until 2014 when the iPad r2 came out, Apple has been using a non-laminated display, and what this meant was that there was a big air gap in between the LCD panel and the glass itself, which gave you that atm kind of feel where you're not actually touching the pixels, but rather a very thick piece of glass sitting on top.

The iPad 2 from 2014 was apple's very first iPad to have a fully laminated display and then the models after all, had a laminated display up until the entry-level 2017 iPad. When Apple went back to a non-laminated display and the 2018 2019 and 2020 models of the entravel iPad, they all lacked a lemonade display. Luckily, this thinner body of the 2021 model means that we might finally get a laminated display pretty crazy to say that I'm excited for allowing a display in 2021, like that. Just sounds like anyway, um apple now Maratha claims that the body will be getting as thin as 6.3 millimeters from the current 7.5 and that the weight is going down from 490 grams to 460 grams. Now, here's a fun fact: the iPad 3 and the iPad Pro 2.

So these are the iPads that this new entry level iPad will be using as a design inspiration. Now these two iPads actually have a thickness of 6.1 millimeters, so that means that this iPad will still be thicker by 0.2 millimeters. Now, if you have a laminate display, usually you have a much thicker iPad, so this still means that we will likely get a lemonade display, but I'm just not sure why this iPad will be thicker, maybe to make it look inferior to the other ones. I don't know we'll see, aside from this cm beta reports, that we will also be getting the Apple A13 chip up from the a12 inside the ace Chan, as well as four gigabytes of ram up from three gigabytes. The 2020 iPad Pro did get six gigabytes of ram.

So if this entry-level iPad doesn't need to get updated to four, it would be an absolute king in terms of the performance, as it would be almost identical to the 4th gen iPad Air from 2020. Okay. So the iPad Pro is 100 rumored for the march Apple event. The iPad Mini is also rumored uh, but I would say that this has like a 60 chance of actually being unveiled, and then the 9th gen is rumored to be coming in spring 2021. , so again, likely march as well.

I would say like a 90 chance, but it's its still a bit odd. How we only got the 8th gen back in October, and it just feels like it's still a bit too early to get the 9th chance in March, but at 2021 iPad Pro in March, does make a lot of sense, and I would say the same- could go to the iPad Mini really because this one hasn't really been updated in two years. So this pretty much just leaves the iPad Air without an update. But since we did get a pretty major update in 2020, there is a chance that apple will actually skip it this year, just like they've done with the iPad Pro in 2019. , but yeah.

Let me know in the comments. What do you guys think about each of these iPads? I talked about in this video and if you have enjoyed it, definitely leave a like to support the channel and also subscribe for more league summers. Episodes like this one and more in-depth tech videos like this one, hopefully was I'm Daniel. This has been tech, and I'll, see you guys in the next one tech signing out cheers you.
