Xiaomi Mi Band 5 Unboxing & First Look! Best Fitness Band Tracker?

Hey guys so the band five has just been released, and here is the unboxing. What improvements are we getting over? The BAM four comes in this black box, as you can see number five in the series. So far the band series really is an affordable, Fitness band. So it's not a Smartwatch. It's not going to give you those sorts of features, but, as you can see on the side, you can wear it swimming its waterproof up to 50 meters. You can wear it for running.

If you go to the gym, if you just want to track your steps and your heart rate, you can wear it to bed as well, and it will track your sleep patterns and there's lots of different modes in it as well. For tracking your workouts in China, you can use a Li pa, which is a payment service provider when it does come to other countries, I'm sure it is going to work with your payment providers as well. One of the improvements is this: magnetic charging dock and cable. So before you had to put it into a different type of dock and there are no magnets. Now you just clip it on.

So that's definitely an improvement, not a huge deal overall, but it just makes charging it easier. You know that you've got it in there. Overall, it looks very similar for sure they have changed the band as well, though the band now has just a pop in that you can use to adjust the size. It is very comfortable, I've been wearing it for a bit 70 easy to get the size there, and you can just pop it in and out there's lots of different options on the band. So even if you have really, really small wrists I think it's still going to fit you even up to bigger wrists, you can see all the holes in there.

It's really easy just to resize it for your wrist. You can see all the sensors on the back there. It does have a heart rate track up. It has a barometer to a gyroscope and an accelerometer. This is just all to track.

Your heart rate, and also your steps and your workouts as well when you take them, it comes with support for up to 11 different sports modes like yoga running swimming as well, we'll get onto that into a second when I actually start up the watch. It also has this thing called Pie or PI, which is personal activity intelligence, so it will track all of your workouts and all of your fitness and then give you a score, but it does reduce the battery life up to 1/2. So, just to keep that in mind, you have to pair it up with me fear, but it takes about three or four minutes very easy to do. Just follow the instructions it comes with a 1.1 inch, OLED display, which is pretty bright. It's pretty good, and yet it does the job you can also download loads of different watch faces which we'll get onto in a second.

There is an NFC version and an on NFC version, which is a bit cheaper, shall we say it comes with up to 14 days of battery life, but obviously this is going to change depending on how much you work out, how much you track your fitness and if you use that Pie or PI as well, it's going to reduce the battery life. Xiaomi also said that when this does come out, sort of China is going to support a lexer voice assistance, so that might be important for some of you guys. You can also track calls and app alerts from your phone and, of course, messages as well. They will be sent to your watch. You can have a look at the messages as long as you set it up with your phone.

You can do that. There's also a feature on the watch where you can actually take a photo of your phone using the watch. You have to set it up, but once it is set up, you can actually push the shutter button on your phone using the watch. That's good! If you want to set the phone up somewhere else and just take a photo with it, I assume to be within Bluetooth range, though. But it's a pretty cool feature.

The screen is scratch resistant, Xiaomi, say, and it has a 2.5 d curve on it. It just curves off at the edges, very simple design, overall, very lightweight, and if you are wanting to do some exercise, it really just doesn't get in the way. As you can see, all the different Fitness options. Xiaomi added a few on this watch that aren't on the meet BAM for, for example, yoga is on this watch. If you do that, you can also set up alarms on the watch as well so yeah as a fitness tracker.

Just a fitness band I think it is pretty feature-rich for what it is, especially for the price it comes at about a hundred and eighty-nine RMB. That's the Chinese price, which I think is about maybe 15 pounds, 20 US dollars, something like that. So just an affordable fitness watch with what I think is pretty much all the features that you would get in any product. Like this, so just going through to the watch faces, so you can see how many there are Xiaomi made a big thing about how many watch faces. There are how many you can choose from and well the ones that I found actually were all free of charge as well, which is pretty good, because you don't really want to be paying too much for watch faces, but yeah just pick.

The watch face that you want, and within a couple of seconds it will just sync over to the watch itself. Overall, some pretty good upgrades over the move and for the screen is a bit of an upgrade I think the charging and the charging dock is an upgrade and I really like the strap as well just easy to use and change. Let me know what you think of any band 5 in the comments, and that is it for this video. So thank you for watching subscribe. If you liked it, and I'll see in the next one.
