Xiaomi Mi 10 Lite 5G Review

Hey everyone as we're, seeing more and more of 5g phones being released, we're also getting some pretty good competition in the mid-range, but 5g isn't everything so is Xiaomi's newest mid-ranger. Your best bet in this class, I'm Angie for JS marina- and this is our review of the Xiaomi mi 10 lite 5g, the mi10 lite 5g's design shares much of the design language of recent Xiaomi phones. It's gorilla glass 5 on both sides with a metallic looking cosmic gray, color ink, the frame and buttons are plastic and don't feel very premium, but they're click enough. So they don't detract from the overall experience it's quite comfortable in the hand and even though its weight is pretty middle of the road compared to its competition, it's on the thinner side. So it's easier to grip on the front. You'll find an optical fingerprint reader that works.

Well, you can choose between a couple of unlock animations too. The almost 6.6 inch AMOLED display has a full HD resolution and a pixel density of 401 PPI. There are relatively thin bezels all around and a small water droplet notch at the top, which you can hide. If you wish, the phone got good brightness with 442 nits in manual mode and 610 nits in auto, there's also a third sunlight mode which lets you keep a manual control over your brightness, but still enjoy an auto boost in bright light. Color accuracy was good, especially the original color mode, which was way more accurate than what we got from the RGB profile.

It's also HDR time capable and really all it's missing in terms of a 2020 display is a high refresh rate, though we would have found it surprising on a phone at this price if you're into legacy features, you'll find an IR blaster on the top and a 3.5 millimeter jack. It also supports FM radio. The phone has a single bottom firing speaker and better bass and clarity than other Xiaomi phones. At this price point in terms of loudness, it got an average score, despite a rather uninspiring 4 160 William hour battery, especially for a 5g phone. The meteor light 5g had an excellent score in our endurance test with 103 hours.

While there's no wireless charging you'll find a pretty good fast charger in the box. You can top up the phone from zero to 100 in an hour and 16 minutes or 55 in half an hour. The mate 10 lite 5g has a snapdragon, 765g chipset and six or eight gigs of ram, unlike even the flagship, snapdragon 865, there's a built-in modem that makes the phone a little more energy efficient. As far as software is concerned, the phone sports mini 11 on top of android 10. If you've recently used a mini device, you'll find the setup quite familiar.

There's the unorthodox card based task, switcher and gesture based navigation. Thankfully, there's also an app drawer option like what was originally introduced by the poke launcher. There are quite a few customizations you can choose from too there's a system-wide dark mode. The edges of the display can light up with colors. When you get new notifications and there's a wide assortment of themes, you can choose from the quad.

Camera setup covers the basics, but doesn't do anything too fancy. There's the now common 48 megapixel quad, Bayer main sensor, with an f 1.8 aperture, an 8 megapixel ultra-wide, a 2 megapixel macro cam and a 2 megapixel depth. Sensor photos were outputted in 12 megapixels and in daylight they were quite nice. They're sharp little noise and lively colors dynamic range is wide, though we would have liked slightly brighter shadows. When you turn the AI on you get much more saturated, colors and higher contrast.

So as a whole, it wasn't our favorite mode. You can also shoot in the full 48 megapixel resolution. You'll, get more resolved, detail and good lights, though you'll also be getting more noise and slightly hazy looking shots. If you want to time, zoom you'll be punching in digitally and shots are reasonably detailed, though not as good as what you get from a dedicated telecom. The ultrawide is no match to the main sensor in terms of resolution and dynamic range, but it rendered good detail and colors and the automatic distortion correction looked quite well.

Portrait mode is mostly good with nice. Subject: separation: the default blur is natural, looking and there's HDR available, though, of course the phone prioritizes faces macro shots were fun, but detail and dynamic range were quite limited. Low light photos are power for the course shots were on the soft side. Dynamic range is narrow and they were often underexposed. Colors were nicely retained, though orange night mode definitely helped the dynamic range, lifting shadows and salvaging highlights.

Night modes are sharper and less noisy two-time. Zoom shots are okay for the class, though not impressive, and since you're taking the pictures with the main camera, you can use a night mode for them too. The untrod had poor performance at night, especially in darker areas. Shots were underexposed and photos were soft and noisy. The phone can record 4k video at 30fps colors are vibrant, but the footage is a bit too contrast with slightly dark shadows.

Two-Time zoom doesn't stand up to pixel level scrutiny, but it works well as a whole. Video stabilization was quite smooth when walking and pans are handled with no issues at all and 1080p footage is slightly grittier, with more sharpening but more natural processing. The steroid camera maxes out at full HD and has a narrower dynamic range and more saturation than the main cam selfies were alright with decent levels of detail, but a bit too much sharpening colors are on point. The dynamic range is wide and the phone nicely exposed faces. Selfie portraits had strange imperfections along the borders between the subject and the background.

We found that you should take multiple shots and experiment with different backgrounds for best results. The mites light has an excellent display, some of the best battery life in its class and a good, though not spectacular, camera setup. It has mini, which offers an excellent software experience and the handset itself is very comfortable. In fact, if you're looking for a mid-ranger that supports 5g, this is easily one of the best phones that you can get and even if you're, not crazy about 5g, this phone is still really competitive. So it definitely earns a recommendation.

Thanks for watching everyone, stay safe, and I'll, see you guys next time you.
