White iPhone SE Unboxing & First Impressions! By Daniel Romero

Hey guys what sup taken here today we're taking a look at the iPhone espy in the white color. Now, of course, here we got the box, this phone retails for $400 and comes with 64 gigs of internal storage. Let's go ahead and get right into this and check this phone out. Of course, the box shows this new wallpaper that we got here and each of the other colors that we're going to check out also have their own wallpaper. So we'll see that designed by Apple in California we have your Apple stickers, welcome to iPhone and, of course, this iPhone SE design is based on the design of the iPhone 7 or more like the iPhone 8. But we have an iPhone 7 here to see the difference that might be the phone that you're upgrading form, or also you know the iPhone 8, but there we go here is the white color and for a second, let's put this aside, let me just show you what's on the box, we can get that over with.

We have a normal charger here. So this is not a fast charger, but this phone does support fast charging, which is worth noting. If you buy that you can charge this phone in about 30 minutes.50% of the way up, which is pretty good, unfortunately, doesn't come included, but they're pretty cheap on Amazon. You can get a charger for like 20 bucks or so, and do that, of course, you're going to get your normal ear. Pods you're not gonna, get an adapter like you used to in the past, so you can no longer really connect 3.5 millimeter headphones to this. However, you can always just buy those adapters separately and, of course, you're going to get a normal, lightning cable, nothing really particularly special there.

But of course you know it's a box that we're familiar with the same exact size that we used to get with the older iPhones. The special thing here is, of course, now that we have this beautiful white color and when I say beautiful, I mean this is beautifully. White like this is the color that I want it for the iPhone 11 Pro. Let's go ahead and remove the film here. Oh, this one has double-sided film again, which is interesting, because the f-111 send the ultra pros that we unbox that only had film on the screen, I believe which was interesting.

Maybe this is more prone to scratching inside the box. Who knows I thought they were doing it for environmental reasons that they're only using one film but I. Guess that's not the case. Now, taking a closer look at the design here, you can kind of see the camera ring. Has that silver around? It looks very, very nice when the interesting things to note here and one of the major differences is how you can tell this- is an SE and not a 7 or an 8 is of course, at the 7 head and aluminum back, because it had no wireless charging.

So that's one of the main things. This is a glass back like the iPhone 8, which supports wireless charging, another one of the things here as that they moved the Apple logo from the top to the center and made it a little bigger. So now the all the phones on Apple's line, as you can see here with the 11pro, have the Apple logo in the center and no text or anything saying iPhone. It looks cleaner, I, don't know if it's better-looking I think. Overall it does look cooler, maybe, but I think it's a preferential thing.

They also used to look kind of cool with the iPhone on the back, but, as you can see now, you just have Apple logos there and look at that white color, my goodness, is it stunning. This is definitely the color I would choose if I was getting the SE, and it's totally a viable choice over even an 11 or an 11 pro, because now we have an 8 13 chips inside which is insane because that's what we have on the 11 and 11 Pro. So basically, this phone is just gonna, be as fast as everything else that Apple sells. It's going to be faster than most phones out there that are twice or three times the price which is kind of crazy. Now.

Another one of the things here is that we no longer get phones with white fronts. So all the colors you can get now the red or the black or the white all come with black fronts, and that's a good thing I think. Overall, it simplifies the buying process, simplifies the production process and overall, the black front is better for watching media and all that now this phone looks really, really good, and I really miss the size. The size is like so nice to hold in your hand, because everything is so easily like reachable. It feels tiny at this point, of course, but even compared to just the iPhone tenth, which I've gotten used to, and I feel is the perfect size well set up a new iPhone, oh and which I feel the iPhone.10 is kinds of the perfect size. It's a nice compromise between not too big and not too small.

This one just feels so nostalgic and so good in the hand and there's really something to be said about the design of this phone as well. There's a reason you know: Apple went for this phone or for this design for the SD this time around, and that's because it's one of their other iconic ones like the original SE, was one more popular ones, and now we have this SE, which is again based on one of their other popular designs. Now really, really like this color I love how this silver edges show a little from the black front: I love the white back I think it just looks super cool, and while these setups, let me go ahead and show you- we have a few cases from our friends at totally that sent these out. So you can just see how they look. I think this combo right here is particularly really nice.

It's a clear kind of matte feeling case with the white one, and I think that looks super, super good. This is just so. You can get a feel for how they look with the cases. This, of course, isn't really going to protect your phone. This is more of you know: you're, not gonna, really drop your phone or if you get AppleCare, because it just keeps the design very minimal and nice and another thing to be said about these phones.

Is it's not great that it's not just great that they're super? You know less expensive than the 11-11 pro, but Apple Care is gonna, be cheaper. Accessories are gonna, be cheaper, especially since these accessories are the exact same as the iPhone 7 and iPhone 8, so those have been being made for a while now, and they've come down to price quite a bit, so any of those cases or old cases that you have lying around are going to work. This is kind of like a smoke case here you can see it with the white I think this one's gonna look really cool with the black double check out. Of course, this is gonna, have touch ID, let's go ahead and set that up. Let's see if it's faster or just the same, it feels about the same as the iPhone eight.

To be honest, I think, by the time the iPhone 8 came around touch. I'd was already insanely, insanely fast, and I've always loved it and I wish. It comes back somehow in some form, because I really do like it. We're going to go ahead and use zero zero zero. Now, of course, you also do have always on the Carrie with this.

If you want to set that up, you also have true tone. This is not missing, really any of the features that you have and the newer phones. The only thing is you're not going to get as good of a camera, but the camera is going to come pretty close, because a lot of the camera is basically software. Now it is not really on what the lens is on there, but here we go we're in the home screen. Strangely enough, it doesn't have the wallpaper that we saw on the thing and the same thing happened with the iPad.

So let's go ahead here and see if we can find it here. If not, maybe it doesn't come with new wallpapers. Who knows no here they are, and this was the blue one. Let's go ahead and set that set though there we go. That's one of those day and night ones that changes but Oh, see what I did there so used to just swiping up in that, and it actually would be cool.

If you could do that, you could turn that on in settings and not use the home button if you're used to gestures or anything but I understand why? But there you go it's the exact same thing that you've used with the iPhone seven eight, the exact same UI that you're familiar with that's! What's really great about this, nothing is really changing, and you know you'll have the naysayers out there that won't like this and that will just trash on it as soon as you know, it came out or whatever they'll just talk trash about it. Talking about how it's an old design, it's not up-to-date, blah blah, blah and I think those people are just crazy because who cares you know not? Everyone is like you. A lot of people love this design. A lot of people love the home button. A lot of people don't care about the bezels.

They just want something that works that is affordable and that will do what they needed to do, and this is exactly that phone. My mom, for example, she has an iPhone 8. If she were to upgrade to an iPhone, 11 or a limb approach, she would not be able to use that phone. It would be a huge learning curve for her, and not only would it be a learning curve, it would actually, you know, make the experience less fun for her, because she enjoys using this form factor and if she were to upgrade phones, she would definitely upgrade to this. Definitely not to the 11 or the 11 Pro.

Sometimes the best things are kind of the simplest things and the things that just work bones are tools. Nowadays. This is a tool, a tool that just works well, and that does everything you need it to, and you are going to get portrait mode, which is not something that you used to get before, which is one of the newer features, because you have the a13 chip in here and that's pretty much it with the camera. You're not gonna, get deep fusion or anything like that. That is staying specific to the action 11 line and, of course, that makes sense, because the sensor in this phone, and also they're not going to compete with themselves, they have to give some reason for you to get the more expensive phones.

One of the other, interesting things that I found is that they obviously took out a few colors because they maybe don't want to get too many people buying this one. Maybe they want some people to buy the iPhone for the more funky and special colors. That could be the case. Maybe they're kind of gunning for the younger generation with the Elevens because of the colors, and maybe this is for the more serious crowd that just needs a phone that works. I, don't know.

Lastly, let's go ahead and take a look at a clear case here. Whoops I took a picture. It must be a perfect picture and I feel like this is a great combo as well looks very clean, and I'll have links down below to all these cases. In the description, we'll also be checking out these silicone and leather cases for this in another video, but there you go, you can see how that looks: they're very, very nice, simple, small, affordable or at least relatively affordable. Of course.

Let's not forget. Four hundred dollars is a lot of money still, but definitely more feasible than a thousand fifteen hundred dollars, etc. and again, if you're, upgrading from an iPhone 7, iPhone 8, even from an iPhone 10, this would be an upgrade in and of itself to some degree because it's a faster phone, it's going to run everything better. If you can spare the extra fifty dollars, I would recommend 128 gigs just so you can download and play a lot of games and movies and stuff like that. If you don't plan on doing that, then 64 gigabytes is gonna.

Be enough. However, that's only the case if you're not gonna, take too many photos, or you're going to use iCloud photos if you're going to store a whole photo library in here again go for it, be 128 or higher-capacity storage, so yeah, that's the iPhone SE and the silver color lovely device. If you're planning on getting it go, get if it's a great device, then if you hear anyone saying that this device is old or whatever old design screw those people, this thing is awesome: it's packed it's fast. It's gonna work, great you're going to have a day almost two days worth of battery here, depending on your usage, and it's going to be that same form, factor that your you've come to love, and you've come to know. So, if you've gotten used to this, you haven't, you know upgraded or changed to any of you, like you know, gesture-based, and even if you have, you might still hate this and might want to go back.

This is totally a viable option that you can do. You could sell one of these for still good money, buy one of these buy cases by Apple Care and still have money left over, for you know groceries for a couple of weeks.
