Vivo V17 Pro vs Samsung Galaxy A70 Comparison Review

What's up guys Joey here, if you attack and if you've seen our previous coverage of the VIVO V 17 Pro. You know by now that, while it's not too shabby of a successor to the V 15 Pro, it's facing tough competition in the mid-range market, but there is another form that it shares a few key aspects with specifically the Samsung Galaxy, a 70 from earlier this year. Now we're not only putting the 70 and V 17 Pro side-by-side because they have the same Snapdragon, 65, chipset and Super AMOLED displays, but also because of their close pricing with only around a thousand pesos price difference. So between the two, which one is better at what the V 17 Pro has a glass back with a pearlized look and dual tone texture. So sometimes it looks pearl white and other times it looks like blue there's. Also, another variant available called Knight black.

If you prefer a darker tone in the other corner, the 70 has a 3d glass stick back similar to the 50 with a black multicolor is design. So it really has no definite color. It also comes in blue and white color options if you're interested and since the 70 is made of glass stick, it does give the impression of looking like real glass but yeah. It's not real glass. Furthermore, it's still made out of polycarbonate material, making it lighter and actually more shatter resistant than the V 17 pro.

Both phones have some heft to them, but are still comfortable to grip. Even if you have smaller hands since both do sport. Curved sides, at the backs of both phones, are protruding rear, camera modules, a quad camera setup for the V 17 per placed in the middle and a triple camera setup for the 70 placed on the upper left. Now, the next major difference in design is. When you look at the Front's of both devices, you get a notch, less 6.44 edge display for the V 17 Pro and the Infinity you display for the 70. So, yes, you do get a tiny notch on the top of that screen.

That doubles as an LED notification light now moving to the sides on the right. You find both phone's volume and power buttons right on. The left is a triple card tray for the 70 and a dedicated Google Assistant button for the V 17 Pro. It is a nice addition, but it can get annoying at first because you can easily confuse it for a power button-up top there's only a noise-cancelling microphone for the 70 while the V 17 pro gets a pop-up front camera sandwiched between a noise-cancelling microphone and its head Jack at the bottom. Both phones have USB supports loudspeakers main microphones, plus a dual SIM tray with a dedicated micro SD card slot for the v17 Pro and a headphone jack for the 70 overall.

Both are elegant, looking phones with their own edge for aesthetics I'm, leaving more towards the 70. Because of that more low-key look, but for functionality. The V 17 pro does have more features that include a pop-up camera and a Google Assistant button. But having things like these is up to the users, preference I guess now checking out the display. The V 17 pro boasts a notch free 6.44 inch, Super AMOLED screen with a resolution 4400 by 1080. Meanwhile, the galaxy, a 70, has a 6 point: 7 inch, Super AMOLED infinity.

You display also with the resolution of 2400 by 1080. Now, thanks to their Super AMOLED screens, both phones have vivid colors and deep blacks, both of great outdoor visibility, although the V 17 pro can get significantly brighter and since both of a 1080p resolution, they're sharp as well. Of course, we do get a more immersive experience with the V 17 pro, since we don't have a notch in the way of our viewing experience now quickly for all your bull phone speakers can get loud enough for a small to medium-sized room, though we do get a little more depth from the 70, especially when you turn on the Dolby Atmos mode for smartphone speakers, both of them are just decent lows are almost absent, while mid and highs are clear, though, do expect distortion, maximum volume moving on to software, both from an Android 9 PI out of the box skin with their own launchers. Let's fun touch o 9 for VIVO and 1 UI for Samsung I'll say that they're far from both a stock Android experience and from one another fun touch. Os takes the clean and simple approach, though I will say it does still come with a lot of extra features that you may or may not find useful.

Well, when your eye is more I'd, say industrial and focuses more an easier interaction with the phone. Both skins have native dark mode and their own game launchers, which is nice anyway. It's a lot to get into so guys if you're deciding between these two phones, it's just going to the mall or somewhere and trying out the software yourself, but for us generally, one UI over fun touch now checking out internal hardware, both phones back the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 AIE chipset, with an Arena 612 GPU +, 8, gigabytes of RAM for the V 17 pro and 6 gigabytes of RAM locally for the a74 storage, both get hundred-twenty gigs, but the a70 can support up to 512 gigabyte micros cards, while the v17 pro can only support cards up to 256 gigabytes. Both phones provide well-rounded performance for day-to-day use, also multitasking, since both got a lot of RAM and heavy graphics games. Since we do get solid mid-range chipsets games such as pop G, mobile Call of Duty, mobile and mobile agents and high settings produce minimal frame.

Drops though the V 17 pro seems to be a little more well optimized for games and just overall performance. This is pretty evident when we see the benchmark scores here. We get better results from the V 17 pro, despite both phones having the same chipset under both phone screens. We find the respective and display fingerprint scanners. The a70 scanner has improved you to its latest software updates, but it still does take a second or two for it to recognize your fingerprint.

The V 17 pro, on the other hand, works fairly accurately and has a quick response rate. However, when it comes to face unlock the 70, s is more reliable since the V 17 Pro has a similar face, unlock style to the next three, wherein the face unlock actually only kicks in after three failed attempts from the fingerprint scanner, which is annoying if you want to use the face unlock, but actually it could potentially make the phone more secure. I, don't know now for battery the V 17 Pro packs a 4100 William hour battery with 18 watt, dual engine fast charging. Well, the 70 gets a bigger 4500 William hour cell, with 25 watts superfast charging an hour, video loop test, the V 17 pro got a total of 22 hours and 19 minutes, while the 70 scored, 23 hours and 45 minutes. But then again, it all still depends on how you use your phone generally.

Both can last you more than a whole day, and it's good. They both support fast charging and at the end of the day. Yes, the 70 has a bigger battery, but that's not to say that the V 17 pros battery is small. Checking out the cameras at the back. The V 17 forgets a quad camera setup, consisting of a 48 megapixel main and 8 megapixel ultra ride a 2 megapixel depth sensor and a 2 megapixel macro lens.

Meanwhile, the 70 has a triple rear camera setup, consisting of a 32 megapixel main 5 megapixel depth sensor and an 8 megapixel ultra-wide for selfies. The V 17 pro gets 32 megapixels, plus 8 megapixel front shooters, while the 70 gets a single 32, megapixel shooter in this first set, using both phone's primary rear cameras, you'll immediately notice that the V 17 Pro shot has more aggressive, boosting of the brightness and saturation. Now look closely at the now looking at the club, these photos were taken around 5:30 p. m. which means that here in the Philippines the Sun is starting to set, and evidently the a70 gives more true-to-life colors, now checking out ultra-wide.

The results are almost the same, except that the v17 Pro seems to have more sharpness. The a7ii has wider dynamic range, though, but it's starting to look a little grainy due to the lighting conditions. At the time now, here's an indoor shot with me holding my phone and the v17 pro evidently favors warmer tones. While you get cooler tones from the 70 also when we zoom into the dead plant near the window, it's becoming more apparent that we get a greater amount of detail from the V 17 Pro and checking out Ultra white again. Neither phone does a great job here with detailed preservation, though I will say that the 70 has a wider field of view, but it is nice that neither phone has too much distortion moving to night shots here.

Samples with night mode turned on I must say: I prefer the brighter post-processing from the V 17 Pro. Now here's another dark shot and I like the drama and details that we get from the V 17 Pro, but then again with the color is the sky is closer to reality in the 70 shot. Unfortunately, the 70 does not have a dedicated night mode, but here's what it looks like when we turn on the night mode for V 17 Pro and yes, obviously, we get a clearer and more vibrant shot without losing a lot of detail. I like it. Although the shot now looks like it was taken at an earlier time, which is actually impressive when it comes to portrait mode I like that, you can adjust the blur effect after the fact for both phones and in these photos the 70 seems to have better edge detection, though both are actually effective, but like in previous samples, the V 17 produces a sharper and more saturated photo.

Well, the 70 prefers a more natural softer. Look now are checking out, selfies I think without a doubt, the V 17 Pro did a way better job here, especially with how much detail is captured. The warmer tones also work in its favors and skin tones are the priority here and yeah. It's just a lot better compared to the 70 s washed out shot and as for portrait, selfies here are two shots of AJ and beard Lee. Both of them look like they have beauty mode turned on, even when they're really not anyway, I prefer the V 17 from here again.

The both effect isn't perfect, though, since it did miss some strands from her hair, but it's still sharper. It has nicer skin tones compared to the 70 s washed out shot so yeah. We don't have to go any further. I think it's pretty clear guys. The v17 pro has the advantage in the camera Department.

Now before we conclude this video. Let's talk about price. The VIVO b-17 pro is priced at 21,000, I heard 99 pesos. On the other hand, the Samsung Galaxy, a 70, will set you back.20 mm I heard 90 pesos. Now the V 17 Pro is definitely more enticing, given that slightly cheaper price tag, as well as the better system, performance and cameras.

However, the 70 does provide better battery performance and, if you're a fan of Samsung's one UI, you got it so, while the V 17 pro does have an advantage and more key categories, it's still going to depend on what kind of user you are so done. Let me know in the comments down below guys, which one is your pick: the VIVO V 17 pro or the Samsung Galaxy a 70, and if you enjoyed this video, please do drop a like subscribe to our channel for more content hit the bell.
