TECNO Spark 7P Vs Infinix Hot 10, Which Should You Buy? - Speed Test and Camera Comparison

Hey guys, it’s Eric here and this is my full comparison between the TECNO Spark 7p and the Infinix Hot 10. We’d start off with the Speed Test, followed by the camera comparison and then unto other features. It is actually weird that right out the bat the Infinix Hot 10 with 3gigs of RAM is slightly more expensive than the 64gig variant of the Spark 7p with 4 gigs of RAM. This should be interesting. This is not a scientific test yada yada.

Let’s begin with the boot up test

Spark 7p booted up first in 24 seconds while the Hot 10 took quite a long while to boot up 21 seconds later.

I tested the fingerprint sensors on both a couple of times and asides the problematic size of the Spark 7p’s sensor, they both seem to be about the same speed. Pretty fast on both. Face unlock gave me just about mixed results so we’re going to call it a tie as well.

I closed all the running apps before this test.

Let’s begin with twitter.

Instagram. Facebook. Snapchat. Playstore. Youtube.

Geekbench

Surprisingly, We get higher single and multicore scores on the Hot 10

Antutu benchmarks. Hot 10 refused to run the test to completion after multiple attempts. If you’re a hot 10 user, leave yours in the comments.

Skipping the games row for now. Snapseed.

Camera. Messages.
Settings. Lightroom. Speed test.

Tested both on the same network and We get higher download and upload speeds on the Spark 7p

And now let’s open up some games, let’s begin with…

Smash hit. PUBG.

Subway surf. Temple Run 2.
If you made it this far, a sub to the channel will be appreciated.

Moving on to the camera. we’re going to keep to the basics to make this real quick. Using the selfie camera outdoors. We can see a yellow-ish filter on the Hot 10. It will make certain colors look nicer but it is not as realistic or as detailed as the Spark 7p’s shot.

Looking at selfie portraits, we get around the same sense of depth which misses the mark here and there. The image on the Hot 10 seems to have some beauty filter applied too.

For the primary camera, the hot 10 still spots that filter and on the Spark 7p there’s a soft bokeh even though it’s not a portrait shot. They are actually quite similar, in terms of quality in this shot
With portrait mode, they both have a pretty good sense of depth Hot 10 looks more realistic, even tho it is still yellowish.

In this shot, the Spark 7p didn’t even focus right but you can how lifeless the Hot 10 looks compared to it.

In this indoor selfie, we can see 2 different color science, Spark 7p is over sharpened but this works in its favour. coz while it appears a little greenish, it also captures more details.
Here, the Hot 10 looks like the better shot because it has richer truer to life skin tones. You can actually see the real color of my iris. The oversharpening of the Spark 7p did not pay off here.

It just looks hella pixelated.
Dynamic range here is looking pretty similar, Hot 10 definitely captures the blue in the sky a little bit better.
When we crop in, the Spark 7p appears more detailed.
They both shoot videos in 2K from their primary and secondary cameras. As for the speaker, here’s how they compare side by side.

I know how having a clear winner in the speed test looks but the difference in real life usage is not that significant, not enough to be the deciding factor. However, when you juxtapose that with all the other advantages of the Spark 7p like the 90hz refresh rate that may not be much but is better than 60hz, the latest Android 11, bearing in mind that we don’t expect OS updates on either of these, the camera is also better and the design on the back is prettier to look at, it makes absolutely no sense why the Hot 10 is even pricier. All the Hot 10 has over the Spark has to be that punch hole display. Battery life is pretty much great on both, in case you were wondering. If you’re still unsure about which to buy, you should check out my review of both.

Also if you already own the Hot 10 and thinking of upgrading to the Spark 7p, I think you should wait for the next Hot series and maybe even the Redmi 10 series. I will definitely be reviewing those.

I hope you enjoyed this video. If you did, do give me a thumbs up and share it. Also follow me on twitter and Instagram to see what i’m up to.

Please subscribe for more videos like this as it would mean a lot to me and I’d see you in the next one peace!
